Welcome to Buzz, Johnny Suite! We loved “Dancing Shoes,” and the story behind it was so cute as well! We wanted to ask, what was your favorite part of seeing the vision for “Dancing Shoes” come to life after your wife inspired you?
I couldn’t help but smile because it was so “me.” This song definitely hits it on the head, sharing with the world how much I love music and how much I love to move. When you mix a passion for music + ADHD, you get me lol
What does music mean to you, and is there any advice you’d like to give all the up-and-coming artists trying to follow in your footsteps?
I found music to be a gift of mine entrusted by God to inspire, encourage, and motivate others with the message He puts on my heart to share with the world. My biggest advice to upcoming artists is always this: Know who you are before embarking on this journey. If you step into this industry with no idea or concept of who you are, you will be eaten alive, and the world will create your identity for you. Know who you are and know your purpose.
Do you have any favorite music-related memories you’d like to share?
Some of my favorite memories include touring Japan with some of the childhood greats that I grew up listening to (Laga Savea, Kiwini Vaitai) and touring in New Zealand, Australia and Cook Islands with one of my best friends “The Artist Fia”. Also, traveling to Jamaica with JBoog was a moment to remember.
If your listeners could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be?
If my music flows through your headphones or car or whatever medium you choose to listen to; and you are inspired, encouraged and want to run through a wall- My mission has been accomplished.
