Welcome to BuzzMusic, Braden Ross. Your new song "Sun" is very personal and vulnerable. Can you tell us a little about what inspired you to write it?

I was feeling incredibly depressed when I started writing "sun." I was in a creative rut, burnt out, and I couldn't shake the feeling that everything I was working towards wasn't worth the effort. I channeled those insecurities and did my best to turn them into something that I could be proud of.

The song is an anthem for anyone who has ever felt insecure or alone. What do you want people to take away from it?

I want people to allow themselves to feel their value. I truly believe that every person on this planet has a purpose, and no matter how you feel or what you're doing at the moment, you are constantly serving that purpose just by existing. So you have to keep going.

The production of "Sun" is beautiful. Can you tell us a little bit about the process of creating the song?

I wanted to make a song that embodies my identity as a musician. I have always loved acoustic music, so I wanted to incorporate that into my current sound. This new-age hyper-pop music has inspired my production style heavily, so I tried to blend it all into something fresh.

You have said that "Sun" is a reminder that we are all deserving of love and acceptance. What do you think is the most important thing for people to remember when it comes to self-love?

Self-love doesn't come easy. It's a constant uphill battle, and it's always easier to give in to self-hatred. But hate doesn't leave us fulfilled. We need love to feel whole. Self-love is important because it reminds us that we are in control of who we are and who we are destined to be.

What's next for you?

I will keep doing what I'm doing—writing music, producing it, and sharing it with the world. I will continue to be appreciative of the fact that it has resonated with people.
