There’s campy nostalgia, and then there’s fully committing to the fantasy. Kendra Erika chose the second option.
With her new single and cinematic visual for “Catch Me,” the Billboard-charting artist doesn’t just reference the world of James Bond. She builds an entire universe around it. The result feels less like a standard music video rollout and more like a full-scale action fantasy unfolding in real time.
For years, Kendra Erika has quietly carved out her own lane in dance-pop, blending glamour, theatricality, and club-ready production into something that feels intentionally larger-than-life. Tracks like “Self Control,” “Thriller Killer,” and “Body Language” established her as someone deeply invested in escapism, but “Catch Me” pushes that vision into blockbuster territory.
Sonically, the record slides seamlessly into the DNA of classic Bond themes without sounding like an imitation. Produced alongside longtime collaborator Damon Sharpe, the track balances seductive tension with explosive energy, weaving together dramatic strings, pulsing basslines, cinematic horns, and sleek dance production that feels engineered for both a casino floor and a late-night car chase through Monaco.
Lyrically, Kendra leans fully into the role of the untouchable femme fatale. There’s power in the restraint. Even when the narrator flirts with vulnerability, she never loses control of the game. That tension becomes the song’s strongest weapon.
The accompanying visual doubles down on the spectacle. Neon casinos, motorcycle chases, international spy aesthetics, fight scenes, couture gowns, and anime-inspired action sequences collide into a hyper-stylized fever dream that somehow never loses cohesion. It’s chaotic in the best way possible.
