Welcome to BuzzMusic, Kyra Daniel. We're so impressed with your level of maturity and inspiration in your new single, "Words Mean Something." What inspired you to create this empowering sophomore single?

“Words Mean Something” was inspired by personal experiences I’ve gone through, like being made fun of/bullied at school for things like my skin color and being shamed for doing what I love, which is writing songs and performing live. I also noticed other people going through something like I was, and I felt I just needed to express myself and let the others going through a hard time know that they are not alone and that their voice matters.

What was your experience working with producer Evan Cline for "Words Mean Something?” How did he help you navigate the process?

Evan and I wrote "Words Mean Something” over a zoom call a little over a year ago. It was my first time writing to him, and I knew I wanted that experience to be special. He is such a fantastic person and so fun to work with. Our ideas bounced off each other quickly, and we wrote the song in under an hour. I write music about things I can relate to the most, which was one of our main goals while writing this song.

Do you usually create inspirational and compelling pieces like "Words Mean Something?” Why are songs like this so important to you?

Yes! I love writing songs that can hopefully inspire and uplift others. Music is one of the main ways I express myself, and it’s almost like a second language. I’ve written many songs about random events in my life and even turned sad or negative experiences into uplifting, loving songs.

Do you have any advice for aspiring young performers looking to dive into the music industry? Besides talent, what has helped you reach this level of success?

My main message to anyone trying to get out there, or pursue anything, is to stay focused, humble, and kind. Concentrate on what is best for you; set your mind to something important. Being humble is a big one for me because I have been so blessed to have had so many great people supporting me, enabling me to experience amazing things during the short period of my being a singer. I always remind myself to stay humble and never forget those who love me and support me the most. Lastly, being kind. This one applies to anything and everything in my life. My Mom has been saying this to me for as long as I can remember. I go into situations with a smile and treat others with love and respect. That’s what I believe can get anyone far in life!

What's next for you?

I have more songs releasing shortly, more content on all socials (@kyradanieloffical), and significantly more exciting opportunities like performing live, traveling to Nashville again, etc. I can’t wait to take you on this journey with me!!
