Welcome to BuzzMusic, Lawn. We admired every second of your deeply personal and emotional new single, "Grief Diet." What life experiences inspired you to create this diary-esque single?

Thank you so much! It was really hard for me to release this one. I felt like the worst parts of me had just been exposed to the world to see. It took me 15 minutes to write this and finally over two years to release it. I hope it resonates with a few because it was rewarding to share it with you all.

How did you want your lyrics in 'Grief Diet" to impact listeners? What did you want them to think or feel?

I was hoping they'd feel heard, understood at the least. Grief shows up in mysterious ways, and although most people mean well with their observations, it can come off as callous. I hear you. I understand you. You are not alone in feeling like a burden to others, but you are wrong about your value. This is what I want people to hear from Grief Diet.

What was the most challenging part about creating such an emotional song like "Grief Diet?" How did you overcome these challenges and execute your vision?

The most challenging was putting my words into action. I still don't have a music video or concept that makes the most sense for me to release. This song, in particular, was nearly all promoted and created by myself, and not all my songs have been as time-consuming. But I do believe the message has come across and am interested to hear other's perspectives on it (:

What did you take away from writing and creating "Grief Diet"? What was the most rewarding part of this process?

Most rewarding was writing it all out like a stream of thoughts in my head. It came out like it was always there. It was such a beautiful realization that, as humans, we feel more than we say aloud or that we are even conscious of. We're much more capable than people realize. And if you can get past the loss of someone....you can do anything.

What's next for you?

I'm working with a new studio called Altru Creative and am trying to release my next song rather soon. It's about Christmas... kind of. Stay tuned. xoxo
