Right off the bat this song catches you with a unique, crisp beat and an added vocal track in the back for extra finesse. Royal knows how to write solid lines that flow nicely together and are clearly articulated as to emphasize the meaning of this track. Dropping lines like its second nature to him with remnants of Kanye and Drake in his style. The way Royal emulates his emotion in this “letter” is really felt through the build-up of this touching story that is told. I personally really enjoy the use of Hip-Hop to convey deep messages to the listener in this style. This off the hook track is going to be the classic Hip Hop song of the year as it definitely has thrown us back to when Hip Hop was just taking off.
