Singer-songwriter, rapper, and hip-hop recording artist Lil Datty is coming in with a message for the masses from Luxembourg with his emotional yet powerful new single, "Cali."

Born Diogo Carvalho Matos, Lil Datty was influenced by his friend and fellow artist Mon$ta to get into music, with help from his artistic influences like XXXtentacion, Juice Wrld, and Ski Mask the Slump God. Now, he's racking up streams across platforms and trusting the process until this passion project becomes a full-time gig.

In his latest single, "Cali," Lil Datty brings a message everyone needs to hear. While the track discusses the sadly relatable and emotional experiences of feeling lost in life and turning to drugs as a temporary fix, he uses this track to remind listeners that drugs are never the answer.

The melodic new single "Cali" opens on a peaceful yet melancholy note with tender hip-hop/R&B production that paves the way for Lil Datty's bars. As his sweet melodies and calm delivery meet our speakers, Lil Datty expands on life, its trials and tribulations, and not knowing how to cope with these profound emotions. While substance abuse seems like the easy way out, it's only pulling you in deeper.

This song is beautiful, perfectly blending hip-hop drums with R&B melodies and production, not to mention Lil Datty's Juice Wrld-esque vocals that offer a sonic blanket of comfort. What's even more beautiful is his message. Lil Datty wants every listener to know that his DMs are wide open. Whatever's bringing you down, don't hesitate to hit him up. "And if you can‘t DM me, just comment on my last post," he says.

Let Lil Datty bring out your inner emotions with his latest vulnerable single, "Cali," now available on all digital streaming platforms.

Welcome to Buzz, Lil Datty! We love the message of encouragement you brought with your latest single, "Cali." What inspired you to create such an emotional and important song like this?

Like, "Cali" I created on an off-work day like I was at home, and I start messing with some beats, and then I took the Cali one beat from my beatmaker prodbyfvbio and I start working. The day before me and, my best friend we had a good night, haha, like with some Cali, but yea and I looked at my desk, and I saw some leftovers from Cali, and so I started fuck, we are young, but like I feel that I have some problems but like when I mix this drugs, I feel free so I started doing some lyrics inspired from it.

How is "Cali" different from your previous releases? Would you say it's one of your more emotional songs?

"Cali" is different cause, like cali was the first single that I did total alone the lyrics and recording part, and I had so much work on it this music has like 5 months but video clip, mix and master, people, videomaker like everything took some time so there was work fr.

What was your creative process behind the scenes of "Cali?" Did you collaborate with anyone to help bring it to life, or did you tackle everything solo?

I had the beat that I bought from prodbyfvbio, the mix&master made by Mon$ta (my best friend), videoclip made by rs.photolux, and I got the CBD store named Sativa Box. Appreciate all of them fr without them fr nothing is possible.

If there's one message that you want listeners to take away from "Cali," what would that be?

The message is it's ok to feel lost and not know what to do. But drugs like weed can help fs, but just at how you feel for a short time cause everything's gonna be there when weed is over, so don't do drugs!

What was the most rewarding part about creating and releasing "Cali?" How did this song impact you?

The most rewarding part was seeing that all the work paid off with a good result!
