Marcus Alland is an upcoming hip-hop artist and a native of Queens, New York. His music represents the unique sound of a young artist who is both vulnerable yet quickly maturing. With a natural talent for music production and an inner drive for creativity, Marcus Alland is poised to be the next big sound to emerge from the hip-hop industry! He was inspired by music at the young age of 14 when he would sing in his church choir. He formed a spiritual connection to music and began writing rap lyrics and performing them for his peers when he was only 16 years old. As a skilled vocalist and creative thinker, he gained the confidence to perform at open mic nights and this helped him realize his passion in the arts as a performer. Success did not come overnight though, Marcus had to work hard, day and night to establish his craft to where it is today. He released singles like “Come Alive”, “Forza” and “Lemme See” by focusing his energy into songwriting. The result is songs that feel complete, passionate, and unique.

Welcome back Marcus! For those who don’t know, how would you describe your sound and your approach to making music?
Well my sound is more of a vibe felt sound and it’s got a soulful taste to it. Some would consider some of it a r&b feel. But as far as my approach, I would start with the music itself and build from there. Sometimes I would freestyle to it to catch the vibe.
What was the concept behind the music video for “Lemme See”?
The concept behind the video was to show women that you are beautiful no matter what size or shade of color you are. There are women out there who are conscious about their appearance and every woman deserves to feel like they’re the baddest queen out there!
Can we have a hint at a release date for you debut album?
It’s still in the works but we’ll have something for you guys soon enough.
Can you describe your live performance? What would be your dream venue to perform at?
My live performance was very intimate with the crowd from the release party and it was a great vibe. My dream venue to perform at would have to be Coachella! It’s always been a dream to headline!
What does your track “Lemme See” represent for you?
It’s to show the world that I have an appreciation for ALL the women in the world from what they do to how they look.
