Melee Fairy Unleashes New Single "Stoner Boi" — A Fresh Take On Rock And Emo Influences

Southern California's own Melee Fairy has just dropped their latest single, “Stoner Boi,” now available on all streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.

This new track follows their debut 2023 single, “no flame,” and continues to showcase their signature blend of post-hardcore, emo, and a revival of classic rock and grunge elements.

The single, produced in Los Angeles by the talented Jose Alcantar (known for his work with Blue October, New Found Glory, and Something Corporate), reflects Melee Fairy's ability to weave together diverse influences into a cohesive sound.

Channeling inspirations from iconic bands like Whitney Houston, Dance Gavin Dance, Weezer, and Nirvana, the track delivers both nostalgia and innovation.

At the heart of “Stoner Boi” is the distinctive guitar work of Fox, whose inventive riffs and tones craft a unique sonic landscape.

Complementing Fox’s intricate guitar play is Moxii’s powerful and emotive vocal performance, which brings the song's lyrics to life with a compelling intensity. This track will be featured on the band’s forthcoming EP, set for release in late Summer 2024.

"Stoner Boi" exemplifies Melee Fairy's talent for blending various styles into a seamless and engaging musical experience. The single's smart composition and emotional depth highlight the band’s growth and their drive to redefine their genre.

Since their formation in 2020, sparked by a chance encounter in a local store, Melee Fairy—who are also a couple—has quickly carved out a niche in the Los Angeles music scene with their energetic performances and distinct sound.
