The subtle synths throughout “So I Go” give it a more upbeat and edgy vibe. “So I Go” is a dope track about the hustle to get where Modifyd is today. Welcome to BuzzMusic! How did you come up with your stage name?

Modifyd was given to me as a nickname by my friends a while ago when we had a car club. I would change/modify my car pretty much every check and one day some one reached out to me as Mr. Modifyd. It stuck with me once I took the Mr off. It also now reflects how I have change in my music from each piece of work I put out.

Can you tell us more about the meaning of your track “So I Go”? What inspired your writing process?

So I go was a direct reflection of a time when my funds were super low and I still pushed to get out and do the things I wanted to do. Champagne taste on a beer budget some would call it. I grind and celebrated life as much as I could not letting any obstacles stop me. Now I look over the process of how it has made me today. I still use the same tactics to continue continue to put my dreams into reality.

How does the music you make now compare to music you made when you first started out?

The music then, was the beginning of tons of ideas push together to make a sound. The rhythms that made me a producer continue to grow as I was inspired by other sites and sounds and traveling. I was trying to reach for what I thought my music should sound like versus making music that I just simply liked. As I have grown through my career I have had deeper richer experiences to write about which mesh perfectly with the tracks I make.

Who are you top three musical influences?

Otis Redding Kanye West Prince

What would be your dream venue to perform?

To Perform at the NCAA National Championship Football game
