One Deuce Releases New Self-Titled Ep and We're All for It

Born in Memphis, but now based in Atlanta, One Deuce is a multi-talented artist and entrepreneur. In recent years One Deuce has been making his name known and has won numerous hip-hop, acting, and spoken-word competitions locally and nationally. His self-titled EP highlights his intense versatility and pure skill as an artist. The EP starts with “Put You In Ner’”, One Deuce is spitting his truth and kicking this album off to an incredible start. The dope and truthful lyrics showcase the emotive songwriting and realism with his confident vocalism. On top of the emotion and meaning, the production quality and this beat draw you in from the beginning. The next track “The Hero and The Villain” explodes through the speakers with a hard-hitting bassline and One Deuce’s legendary vocalism. More of the late-night party anthem, these two tracks swiftly bring the energy to this project. Equipped with a dynamic sound and unique beats, One Deuce is sure to have you vibing along. His vocals are hypnotizing throughout. His smooth flow and flawless bars can be accredited to his years of experience and raw talent. One Deuce’s upbeat flow and flawless, witty bars make this EP unparalleled in today’s hip-hop scene. Getting a message across, effortlessly reciting perfect lyrics, and finding/creating beats to match is clearly his specialty.

The next track “Situation” showcases flawless production quality and the artistry is professional and finely-calibrated. The way One Deuce approaches his life, his drive, his work ethic and his motivation, all on another level in this honest song. I think that this track really embodies that message with the meaningful and truthful lyricism, and adds yet another versatile layer to One Deuce’s artistry. Through “Say It Ain’t So”, the flow is precise and flawless as he recites every bar with timed perfection and style. The production quality is incomparable and the backbeat is addicting.  He pours his heart and soul into the lyricism on this track and we can’t help but vibe along. He deserves every bit of success he’s earned so far and is only on his way up. His dedication to his tracks and his hard-working ambition shine through the speakers. Being able to put pen to paper and create emotive and powerful lyrics then match those lyrics to a catchy beat AND make it alluring and connection seeking for the listener is a true talent!

Next up on the EP” is “Cup Runnith Ova”, personally my favorite track featured on the album because of the absolute confidence that bleeds through the speakers as One Deuce tells us all about his success and how he’s the one to watch. He knows that he’s undeniably gifted and unapologetically recites that to his fans. “Land of Make Believe” comes out the gate with an alluring intro that demands attention. It’s a hard-hitting, contemporary hip-hop track that brings the energy to the EP. Conceptually things continue to get all the more interesting and unique. One Deuce’s voice sounds powerful, smart and stylish yet also passionate and sincere enough to hold your attention. One Deuce showcases his skills as an admirable, talented and spectacular hip-hop artist. He consistently proves he belongs at the top. The whole EP will propel One Deuce’s career to new heights and we can’t wait to see what he delivers next. The storytelling aspects of this project have me addicted from start to finish. I think that One Deuce is incredibly talented and skilled at connecting with his fans. He writes lyrics that speak to the listeners and music for anyone to vibe to. Check out the self-titled EP here.

Great to have you here One Deuce! We really enjoyed the EP, how do you feel about the overall execution of the project?

Thanks for listening! Completing a music project can be challenging depending on the resources and support that an artist has. This project is bittersweet because I had an opportunity to feel the connection of birthing something into existence --which is sweet. There is a bitter challenge of balancing what feels right despite people's opinions and trends while figuring out how to be relatable without compromising truth. I think I did a good job of navigating all of the above.

There's such addicting energy to this record. What kind of emotions are you attempting to project to listeners with the album?

The aim of my project was to allow my creativity, relatability and edge to be felt. I did not want to do a "commercial" album or a project that was overly saturated with any "one" thing. My goal was to allow each song to have its own chapter, its own place. This project displays SOME of my layers with references for my personal life, general perspectives and the ability to be fun and carefree.

What would you say is the most important take-away message from the EP? Where did your inspiration for the concept come into play?

A fellow artist in the industry shared that there is an undertone of economics throughout the whole album and I had to agree. Although unintentional, this EP subliminally refers to financial empowerment and struggle on a variety of levels. This was definitely an organic outcome.

We can imagine that your performances are incredibly energetic with the sound you have! How would you describe your stage presence? How is the vibe in your crowd?

Well, I am also an actor so being expressive in any fashion helps me to connect. When performing, I allow my talents to work in tandem. I am very engaging when performing and love to interact with the crowd. I tend to get a good exchange in energy.

Thank you so much for talking with us about your new project! What would you say is your major goal within your music career? What’s next for you?

In the world of music, I want to continue to complete projects as an artist, producer, and writer. My skills extend into acting, project management, and entrepreneurship so my stage stretches beyond the spotlight of music. My major goal is to utilize any platform that I am afforded to impact people in a positive way. Whether it is through community activism, philanthropy work or keynote speaking.
