Osa Releases New Single "Dolphins" After His Debut Mixtape Forever Stars

Osa is an upcoming hip hop artist with his new single titled “DOLPHINS”. His debut

started with his mixtape titled “FOREVER STARS”. The track “DOLPHINS” was produced by

chofo beats , while the music video was directed by Jeff Adair. OSA has released music on

Spotify since 2017 and has continued his musical journey.

“DOLPHINS” has an intimate piano intro with a trademark saying of “chofo”. The piano

instrumental brings a softer contrast to hard beats and thin hi-hats that occur the entire

song. The lightness and almost toy like sound of the piano sets the mood of angst and hints to

some sort of hip hop/rap song. Osa has an interesting sound that has elements of hip hop and

pop while touching upon the lines of rap. If you like Russ or Bazzi, Osa will bring a similar, yet

distinctive sound to your playlist. The production quality of the track is great blending the reverb

and metallic autotune seamlessly.Lyrically, Osa is explicit and has a great flow which is pleasing

to the ears. The energy that Osa brings in his music is something that will get you going.

I started my music career back in high school, made my first record 2007 at a recording studio in the state university uniben in benin city west africa. After high school i started working in studios learning the craft of producing and recording and when i moved to America in 2014 i saw an opportunity to do my music on a international platform

Who are your biggest musical inspirations?

I'm a huge fan of Drake, Travis scott, Wizkid, Davido, 2face Idibia, Lil uzi vert, Tory lanez, Swae lee, Chris brown and The weekend. but i enjoy good music and i'm inspired by music that gives off positive vibes

Can you tell us about your new song "Dolphins"?

Dolphins was produced by Chofo Beats who's a friend of mine and a very talented producer, it was written, recorded, mixed and mastered by me at my home studio in Arlington. When Chofo sent me the beat i listened to it and got the idea of the whole song from the hook to outro the song was recorded in 4 hours. and the video was directed by Jeff Adair who has worked with Yella Beezy, Kelvin Gates, Mo3 and so many other great people working with Jeff definitely brought my vision of the song to reality.

What is one important thing you have learned being a music artist?

Music is a very powerful force in the world and the fact that i can make music myself is awesome and amazing. I have learned not to abuse lyrics because words are spells and i feel like just being out here trying to make my dreams a reality has made me more discipline and has given me a sense of direction and purpose. there's always so much to learn in the field and i'm willing to learn more from the masters and everyone who has made music what it is today.

What do you hope to accomplish with your music? What can we expect next from you?

I hope to be one of the greatest musicians the world will remember i hope to reach millions of people with my music and be an inspiration to young and coming musicians.
