We join Rob on a musical journey through clouds of uncertainty as he expresses his emotional vulnerability through smooth vocals and intense lyrics. "I'm being manipulated. I don't believe in love, I think it's outdated and overrated, But then you came along, Corrected me on all my wrongs".

Welcome to BuzzMusic, Rob Sinacsi! Congratulations on your new hit single, "I Love You, But I Love You!" We adore the dreamy vibe that this record emanates! Can you please tell us what event or feeling sparked "I Love You, But I Love You" to be created?

Thank you so much! I'm very excited to be a part of this interview. "I Love You, but I Love You" was released in July 2020; it is still growing and is my biggest hit. This song started to form when my band and I were heading back home from tour (October 2019); I had this chord progression that kept playing in my head, so I started writing to it. Unfortunately, I did not get very far, and the only line I had was the opening line, "I thought I sold my soul." But to answer your question, I didn't have any feelings or intentions with this song, so it hit my archives and resurfaced around May / June 2020.

We appreciate the pure honesty and emotion that was put into your performance! In your song's last line, you say, "I Love You, But I Love Her." We feel your heart torn between two people. Can you give us a breakdown of the story behind this line?

As I mentioned earlier, this song resurfaced around May / June 2020. I met someone back in February / March 2020, and we'd hang out after work, grab a drink or two, and talk about work and life. I started to grow feelings for her over time, but I was already in a relationship - hence the opening line once more, "I thought I sold my soul, but then she came along." I decided to part ways with my girlfriend (at the time) and started a new relationship. I was unhappy in my last relationship, and I just felt that there was no more room to grow, and I wasn't getting any better as a person. I was constantly drinking, and we all know that's not good, and a few other bad habits. But being with the girl I met back in February / March 2020 has changed me completely; I am happier, healthier (physically and mentally), and she and I are just doing great growing together. I got a little off-topic there, but I figured the details in that timeline would be juicy to include. But that concludes, "I love you, but I love her."

Where did your musical journey begin, and what inspired you to write songs?

My musical journey began here in the US, when my dad moved away (I was about 13 years old) to Hong Kong or the Philippines in like 2012, or earlier - I honestly cannot remember for the life of me. Before he left, he was trying to teach me how to read and play music, but I just wasn't interested during that time, and my attention span was no better than a goldfish. But soon after he left, I started to learn how to play the guitar, piano, and sing; I used a few of his notes that he left behind, but I relied on my ears mostly. I started writing my music when I was about 16 years old. I just got tired of doing covers all the Time, and I wanted to play the music that belonged to me. I didn't put any of my music online until I got better at writing, so I started a small band with one of my best friends, Jose Gonzalez - we formed an acoustic band called Within Time (still current). We worked together writing our songs and putting them online, playing shows, etc. And here I am today with two singles and one EP out!

Your passionate drive and ambition to impact the world are inspiring! So what are some of the ultimate musical goals you'd like to accomplish?

Thank you for the kind words! You know, I'd like to one day open for (or even hop on the stage and sing with) my favorite artists and bands like Mayday Parade, State Champs, Ed Sheeran - I can go on. But I can't tell the difference between dreams and reality sometimes, so I'll say this: my ultimate musical goal(s) is to tour around different countries and play many shows (be it an opener or headliner) and connect with the people I meet. That, to me, sounds more realistic... but it would be very cool to play with my favorites.

What's next for you?

I am working on a new song, but I also want to release a new EP or two this year. It gets costly, to be honest, and the cost of living in Florida is going up; I'll need to prioritize that, but I'm going to keep this momentum going, and I will most likely release a new single around March or April 2022. I'll check back in with Buzz Music around that Time, and we'll do another one of these; I'll state any upcoming contents. But for now, please do keep in touch and enjoy my other releases; my recent one is "Serenity" (November 2021). Available on all music streaming platforms, the music video is available on YouTube.
