Welcome to BuzzMusic! We love your sound! Can you tell us more about your upbringing? How did you get started in music?
Answer: I was first introduced to music at a very young age. I started my first music lessons with the piano at the age of 3, and got into singing when I was 8. My family has always been music lovers. As a kid, the rock station was always playing in the house... so I guess you can say that's how I found my love for rock and metal music.
Tell us all about your new track “Stabilized”! What was the writing a process like for this song?
Answer: 'Stabilized' came from a time where I was most vulnerable. Taking hits when I shouldn't have, talked down to when I knew better. It was then that I realized that I SHOULDN'T let people change who I am, my style, and what I listen to. No matter how strange it may seem to some, I am 'stabilized' the way I am.
We love your authentic and powerful vocals, have you had any professional training?
Answer: Yes! I first took lessons at "Moura Music Studio's" in Bolton Ontario by Kate Swan, and I am now working with Teresa Cirillo. They have both helped me develop my voice so much! If it wasn't for them, my vocals wouldn't be the way they are. Of course, I am still learning and will continue to pick up on new things.
Who are your top three musical influences? Why?
Answer: It's so hard to pick 3! If I had to choose it would be Chis Cornell, Layne Stanley and Lzzy Hale. They are all so different, but their vocals are (were) outstanding. You could never truly replace them.
Can we expect to see a lot more solo material from you? Is the release of a few solo singles pointing towards an entire EP?
Answer: Yes! I will be releasing a 4 song EP by the end of the year, and will be setting up some tour dates in the near future! I can't wait for you guys to hear these songs live!
