Seeva's Newest Release "DripDrip" Is A Summer Sizzle

Electro-pop, R&B artist Seeva is from London, England, was writing music by the age of 13 and at 15 was already playing live with support from established British producers that work with artists like Dua Lipa, and Mabel. With the release of his debut single that was in collaboration with Brighten songstress La Luna in February 2019, Seeva had found that with his solid base in writing and producing that he was coming into his career as an artist in his own right. Seeva’s single received support from BBC Radio 6 and was on the playlist “New Music Friday UK” on Spotify along with performing at various festivals and has been able to showcase his talents at h Club London.

“DripDrip” is the perfect blend of electric and pop that I didn’t know I needed in my life, and Seeva absolutely nails the combination. With metaphoric lyrics like “Drip Drip like sand in an hour glass” and meaningful like “You hold me up” combined with a voice that is completely awe inspiring this track is one of my favorites! Seeva’s vocals have a talent that I find is so rare to find in male artists, with the ability to clearly strike the higher notes effortlessly yet showcase the same amount of power when focusing on the lower register. His voice is refined, smooth and one that I find I cannot get enough of listening to. The beats that found in “DripDrip” are vivacious and in my opinion have remnants of pop artists like Maroon 5 and Ed Sheeran with vocals that remind me of a mixture of Adam Levine, Justin Bieber, and Ed Sheeran. “DripDrip” is a song I can hear bumpin’ in dance clubs and one that could be listened to on repeat in the car with the sun roof open on a beautiful sunny day driving down to the beach.

Hey Seeva! Can you tell us a bit more about yourself and how you were first introduced to music?

Hey guys! I'm a 21 year old singer, songwriter and producer from London, England. I always loved music and first got introduced to it by doing musical theatre as a kid. When I got into my teens I found more of a love for pop music and started writing at the age of 13. I found my way into the industry via my amazing mentors and now have an incredible team of people around me!

What is the creative process like for you when making new music?

I like to mix things up with my writing process. Sometimes I'll sit at my keyboard and write to that, but most of the time I'll write some beats and music and write a song with what I'm feeling from the vibe of the music. I love writing with others as well.

Tell us about “DripDrip”, what inspired you to write the track and is there a deeper meaning behind it?

I wrote DripDrip at a difficult time in a relationship. Love can be addictive and can be amazing and terrible at the same time. I wanted this song to show the difficult side whilst also being upbeat.

From an artist’s perspective, what is your favorite part of “DripDrip”?

For me, it's all about the voice and the melody and so my favorite part is in the second verse where the music cuts out and it's just my voice. Hope you all like that part too!

Can we expect any performances or new releases in 2019 from you?

I have two more single planned for 2019, but there's still more to come from 'DripDrip' so keep your eyes peeled!
