Angel Ascenciohas (aka Dirty White Shoes) has been creating and playing music ever since he can remember.
Growing up, Angel spent a lot of his free time listening to hardcore bands, but as he matured, he found his heart pulling him in the direction of indie-pop music. His carefully planned lyrics come from a place of honesty and vulnerability, and even though it can be challenging to share those experiences with the listener, Angel knows his messages resonate with people which provides him the courage to share is content with the world.
For Angel, a song can spur from personal experience or a simple turn of phrase. Once he is comfortable in the words he has produced, Angel turns to structure the songs instrumentals through detailed chord progression and elements of sound. Angel loves adding small details in his music which he calls "ear candy" that really connects the listener to the song. We certainly felt treated to his sweet sounds, and we think you will be too.
