SUMWHR Releases Wavey New R&B Hit “Waste Time”
SUMWHR has a variety of tricks up his sleeve, from songwriting to sound engineering. Hailing from Watts, California on the south side of LA county, formerly known as Nouvelle Vega, and featured on VH1’s “Black Ink Crew”, SUMWHR slings vibey, electro-tinged R&B with undeniable charm. Through relatable songwriting, SUMWHR’s work takes listeners on a journey with him, and catchy beats and melodies make the trip easy.
In SUMWHR’s newest single, “Waste Time”, a stylized and distinctive jam - as well as a realistic portrayal of a relationship that needs to come to an end, for the sake of both parties. It’s difficult to avoid singing along to the catchy chorus, synced up with SUMWHR’s lovely vocals and soft beats that tear down the facade of a pointless relationship. “Why (do) you love to waste time?”, SUMWHR asks, and I believe this is a question we’ve been around to ask. Relatable and vibey, those are the words that SUMWHR’s music immediately brings to mind.
