Sydney Ranee’ Slays In Her Latest Single “LA Boys”

Born and raised in LA, Sydney Ranee’ was born to entertain. Multi-talented and self-made, Sydney is more than her incredible and seductive vocals. She’s a singer, songwriter and thriving producer. Sydney is strongly inspired by artists like Price, Sting, Jill Scott, and Stevie Wonder.. and isn’t Syd lovely? While performing around the world, international talent, Sydney Ranee’ earned herself the nickname, “The Sultry Songstress” with her zestful stage presence and bold sound. In 2015 she released her debut EP, “Born To Run” and a year later released her second EP titled, “You Could” which received radio play in the U.S. and U.K.

Now with her third EP on the horizon, Sydney Ranee’ blesses us with the hot new single “LA Boys”. I can feel the strength and soul in this powerful R&B composition that The Sultry Songstress has put together. This emotionally-rich piece takes us through the motions of discovering that not all that glitters is gold. Sydney said it best in “LA Boys” that  “love’s a trip, it always keeps you guessing”. The lyrics talk about being caught off guard and ultimately deciding she’s better off without these “LA Boys”. Her timeless vocals are beautiful and hypnotizing. I love the entire aesthetic she brings to music and I can’t wait to hear the rest of Sydney Ranee’s EP!

Hi Sydney! It's great to chat with you. Can you tell us more about the background of the song “LA Boys”?

Hey Buzz Music, I wrote "LA Boys" awhile ago and my inspiration came from just growing up in LA and dating in LA. I'm pretty sure we can all agree that it's difficult dating here, it seems like everyone is just in their own world and not looking for anything serious. I'm not categorizing all men from LA just the ones I've dealt with.

Where in the world would you like to perform again?

Definitely Tokyo. I absolutely love it over there.Everything is just so unique and they truly value good music.

What’s your favorite lyric in “LA Boys”?

My favorite lyric in "LA Boys" definitely has to be " He's too busy talking to that chick on Slauson" it's just so sassy to me.

Who influences your style?

I'm definitely influenced by Prince, Stevie Wonder, Emily King and Jamiroquai. Anything soulful really influences me.

What sparks your creativity?

I find creativity in almost everything even the simple things in everyday life. The beauty in life as well as the pain. It has definitely helped with my songwriting.

What's next for you through 2019?

I plan to follow up "LA Boys" with a music video which I already shot, it should be dropping later this month. After that I'll be dropping my EP which is titled "Drop My Guard".
