The Capsules Enter a Strange, Electric Night on “Full Moon Factory”

The Capsules return September 25 with “Full Moon Factory,” a hypnotic new single and animated music video that pulls the trio deeper into the atmospheric intersection of alternative rock, dream pop, and shoegaze.

Built around Julie Shields, Jason Shields, and drummer Kevin Trevino, The Capsules have long treated music and visual art as parts of the same creative universe. Following the electricity running through the analog gear of the previous single “Machines,” “Full Moon Factory” takes that idea somewhere more human, exploring the invisible current that can exist between people.

The track immediately establishes a warm, nocturnal pulse. Floor and rack toms give the arrangement its heartbeat while Julie Shields’ elongated vocals drift across spacious instrumentation. Rather than chasing a dramatic payoff, The Capsules let repetition do the heavy lifting, allowing melodies to circle and expand as the song gradually becomes more immersive.
