Smoke & Mirrors have had an intense year with their vast majority of releases. They've packed in a certain kind of energy surge into each track they've manifested. Collectively, Smoke & Mirrors have always maintained an authentic rock sound, which has always held a special place in our hearts because it's difficult to find their aspect of sound nowadays. Smoke & Mirrors have prioritized their sound on predominantly rock elements, as they place a huge emphasis on being an eclectic and unique rock band, which comes with adding elements of varied genres. Speaking of their tracks throughout 2018, some of our personal favorites have been "Keep Moving" and "High or Low".

"Keep Moving" has stimulated intense energy, while "High or Low" does this as well, combined with more emphasis on instrumentals. You can easily tell that in terms of the creative aspect, Smoke & Mirrors adds their collective curative ideas together, which is what creates that rousing and strong-willed performance. You'll never be disappointed with the kind of energy Smokes & Mirrors is inevitably known for. Their passion is incredibly assertive and forceful. The one aspect to Smokes & Mirrors that we've come to whole-heartedly appreciate is their stimulation of old school soundings with new-era dynamics. Smokes & Mirrors brings creativity to the rock scene we used to know within music, which sets them on a pedal stool for eclecticism. Being available on most platforms, Smokes & Mirrors allows for various listeners to access this rejuvenating sound! Give them a listen today to fully check out their abilities!

Hi there Smoke & Mirrors! Thanks for taking the time to come to BuzzMusic to talk with us on your music as a whole. How do you feel collectively as a band about this recent year for your overall sound? A lot has changed with our sound, for the better of course. From being a full-on grunge band, we've started incorporating other musical elements and styles in order to try to expand our musical horizons. Some elements of Latin jazz, to ska/reggae infused with our heavy guitar-driven sound, is what we've been adding in in order to create our sound. We all enjoy adding in musical elements that may originally seem to contradict the style but end up blending it nicely and that can really be heard in the most recent recordings that we will be releasing in 2020. What would you say has been your favorite produced track within the last couple of years?  We all have different favorites! As a band, we agreed mainly on the singles which were "Keep Moving" and "High or Low", but I think that we all secretly enjoyed working on a track from our first release called "Borderline Love Song" which was a fun song to work on. Check it out on Spotify! Let's talk about the evolution of your music. How do you feel your music and its quality has progressed since you've first started releasing tracks as a band? Well for starters, for our 2020 release we have brought on board a new drummer and he brings a completely different feel to the band. The evolution from the first releases to now has been really a journey of discovery for our own sound. We can't wait for you to hear our new music in nest year! We know that one of the prominent qualities of your music is the eclectic elements added to it. Can you describe the types of genres you're most comfortable sticking with, as well as genres you think you'd never integrate within your sound? I feel we started up as a grunge band, reminiscent of Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus, etc. I think, as mentioned previously, the style has gone on to include a wider range of musical styles. We're definitely happy integrating most styles if we find it fits the blend. So far we've been able to integrate Latin jazz, funk, alternative rock, and heavy metal styles. We are open to integrating all genres but if there were some that we don't foresee adding in the near future would probably be reggaeton/trap/hip hop. There are a lot of great artists doing great stuff with these genres and it's about respecting where everyone's individual and unique artistry stand. What was different throughout 2019 in regard to your music, comparatively to 2018? There were fewer shows and therefore we managed to hone in our skills and dial in our settings a bit better. The introduction of a new band member also brought a new dynamic which helped to shape our current sound.

Thanks again for taking the time to walk us through your 2019 as a band! From here, what can we expect Smokes & Mirrors to be releasing?
