Hey, The Uncle Earl! Welcome to BuzzMusic! We’re really happy to be featuring your song “Beat That Part 2” (Trackin’ You). It’s very catchy, but also incorporates an integral message within. Can you explain to our readers the truth that is embedded within the track?

Hey BuzzMusic Team! I am so very happy that you are featuring my song: "Beat That Part 2" (Trackin' You). It was my goal to create with DJ/Producer Gino Love a catchy dance floor shaker with a message that was easy to relate to. The truth that is embedded within the track is the fact that we are all under surveillance or being watched every day of our lives, whether it be indoors or outdoors. It's become the main feature in our everyday lives. I decided to narrow it down to love interests for easy digestion. When I first started throwing around ideas, the show "CHEATERS" popped into my thoughts and I said "AHA". It was just that simple!

The music video is also extremely powerful and matches the sentiment behind the song perfectly. What was the filming process like?

It was important for me to create a visually powerful experience to work in concert with the power of the track. I am currently living in New York City but I thought to myself that I could film something very special against the backdrop of the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. There are so many colorful landscapes and murals everywhere. Also being outside in the elements amongst the people with the real environment was super complimentary. I had folks walking by, dancing on the sidewalks and catcalling. It was so much fun! The filming process was very exciting. I called my longtime friend and equally creative videographer Mr. Darin Sanone. We have been friends for many years since our days performing on the Academy Awards in Los Angeles. One day, I went out for a walk to scout locations and the locations seemed to find me hahaha. The next step was to call me good friends Ms. April L. Nixon who is an amazing Triple Threat Performer and Mr. Michael Koskelainen who is an aspiring Actor/Model. Everyone was down with the idea so I knew that I had a winner. The synergy was exhilarating! I actually captured all the footage in a one night shoot paying close attention to each individual's performance. They received my message and direction without pause. I shot each of them individually and my performance was the final shots. The entire shoot was completed in six hours which is unheard of and totally guerilla-style. What we have as a finished product was masterfully crafted in New York by my dear friend and master filmmaker/editor Mr. Blaze Mazur.

Can we expect another collaboration between you and Gino Love?

Yes, you definitely will see future collaborations between myself and Gino Love. You just know when it's right and from the beginning, his rhythms touched my soul and moved me to the core. I would be a fool not to continue this match made in "Dance Heaven". We have some hot dishes cooking that will be ready to be served in the near future!

What are some of your ultimate goals as an artist? Are any of these goals currently being put into place/being worked on?

Hmmm, some of my ultimate goals are to nurture up and coming talents as a songwriter/producer, to bring back my radio show "The Ultimate Underground Experience" which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in January and to build a fully functional production facility and cabaret restaurant. I know that this is pretty ambitious but my parents dared me to dream big and have no fear when it comes to my talents and abilities.

It was great having you here on BuzzMusic! What else is going on for you artistically? Do you have any shows you’d like to mention?

I feel totally honored and humbled by your gracious coverage of my new music and video. If you guys ever put on an event, I would love to be involved! Right now, I am in the process of writing new material and preparing to hit the studio to create some more dance floor gems, some pop songs, and some adult contemporary tunes. I believe variety is the key and the sky is the limit.

As of now, I do have a couple of gigs coming up. The first is an Awards Benefit for the Anderson & Bert Cade Fulton Foundation in Brooklyn, New York at the Sugarhill Restaurant & Supper Club on November 9th from 2 pm to 6 pm. Also, I will be performing at the Newport Theater in Chicago, Illinois on December 1st at 7 pm for the X-POZING Music Awards for which I am also an award nominee. If anyone is in the area on those dates, please come out and show some love! If not, you best believe that "I'LL BE TRACKIN' YOU" hahahahahaha.
