Untdld is a Hip-Hop artist from Chicago, currently residing in the City of Brotherly Love Philadelphia, PA.
His in-depth bars and rhythmic delivery give his music a soothing yet upbeat vibe and an impactful feel. At 8 years old, Untdld had a deep love and passion for music. Growing up, he was heavily inspired by Hip-Hop artists such as Mos Def, The Roots, Kanye West, and Gospel Music. He transitioned from an avid listener to an artist in early 2016 and has blazed a trail for his music career ever since.
Dipping into the intriguing spirits of his most recent single, “Sealed” Untdld delivers a heavy-hitting bop that has us fully immersed in his artistic talents. If Anderson. Paak took his skill set to a more forthright Hip-hop setting, you would have the soundscapes of Untdld.
Taking a unique approach to each verse he offers up, we hear him flaunting his lyrical dexterity in a way that plays towards his knack for wordplay and witty quips. There are futuristic elements driven into the instrumentation that have us feeling refreshed with the innovative aspects delivered.
Fitting the dynamism of Untdld, his articulated bars coincide with the musical components in a way that screams superiority. Sifting through the various highs and lows of this “Sealed” journey, we float towards the trucking ambitions that you hear poured throughout each moment of Untdld’s ability to ride a beat. Meticulous with the blatant juxtaposition he chooses to utilize, you don’t need to search for imagery to match what’s heard. Jumping from the speakers you have all that is Untdld’s charisma and confidence.
Self-assured with the moves he’s making, we have no doubts that Untdld will be the next name we see in lights as he keeps us with household heavy hitters.
Welcome to BuzzMusic, Untdld, and congratulations on the release of “Sealed.” With a track of this caliber, what inspired the meaning behind the lyrics heard?
What’s going on BuzzMusic family. Everything I create comes from my faith background. We are days removed from Passover but those blessings last all year. One of the blessings states that God will assign angels to us. I wanted to write a song about the protection we have via God’s angels. When I say “you can hit me with your best hook, but you can never drop me” I’m not talking about a person I’m talking about spirits that try to block us from reaching our destiny. This is spiritual warfare.
What does this song say about you as an artist and individual? How are you hoping your listeners perceive it?
This song tells the story of who I am in God. My confidence, my strength come from God. I hope listeners hear the importance of having a relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
Could you please share what the vibes were like during the recording session? Did anyone else contribute to the weighty sound of “Sealed?"
Vibes were dope. I made this beat back in January and then actually wrote and recorded the song in March. I’m a part of a group called TLS (The Listening Session) and we share music ideas we have and provide honest critics and they challenged me to be better whole writing this song. Shout to TLS.
Throughout your artistic career this far, have you found specific aspects for it that love you more than the rest?
I can’t really say I have. I mean I love the new relationships I’ve been developing if that answers the question.
What can we expect to see next from you?
More music. More music videos. Probably an EP in the late summer. Got to stay tuned lol.
