Do you ever come across those moments in your life where fate deals with your cards? If you didn’t say that exact thing at that exact moment, how different life would be? KARIO’s singer watched the love of his life walk past him and he got the courage to go and talk to her, and that’s had such a profound impact on both of their lives. This song, “A Piece of Me” is about exactly this.

Comprised of indie rocks finest jammers, the forthcoming KARIO EP features Jon Natchez (The War on Drugs), Garret Ray (Vampire Weekend), Elijah Thomson (Father John Misty), Mitchel Yoshida and Stewart Cole (Edward Sharp and The Magnetic Zeros), Lewis Pesacov (Fools Gold), and Rachel Goodrich.

The song and video for “A Piece of Me” are both absolutely breathtaking and thought-provoking. Given the story of the song, the video shows a man dancing in a trance and it seems like he flashes between his old and current self. Almost as if what would’ve been if he didn’t take the chance of talking to the woman of his dreams. The song opens up with a familiar feeling of indie contemporary, however, it has moments of psychedelic inspiration and indie/ pop vibes. The vocal performance is flowing, driving deep into your ears for supersonic satisfaction. The lyrics are incredible and hit in a way that leaves you feeling inspired & nostalgic.

Make sure you listen to KARIO’s debut “A Piece of Me” and keep up with them for new music!
