Hey Mr.Adamsbtw! Welcome to BuzzMusic! What inspired you to first begin making music and releasing it to the public?
I was born into music, it's not something I really just decided to do. Just about all of my family is musically inclined or artistically inclined. I have an Aunt that used to tour with Rick James overseas in Japan. I have an Uncle that used to be the drummer for Buddy Guy. I also have cousins with beautiful voices. Music is something that is in My DNA. What made me decide to release my music to the world is because I know that my life and the way that I've lived it is relatable. I've gone through some of the same things that you have. The only difference is that I'm able to express it musically. I knew my style, look and personality we're all different and or Special. I just wanted the world to see it, And that's what I did.
You seem to be an artist that puts more thought into his lyrics than most. What can you tell us about the lyrical depth within “Bodi Snatcha”?
Anybody can have sex with another person. Anybody can smash another person. I wanted to be a little bit more descriptive. I wanted to describe an actual real life situation, where a Woman was trying to brag to me about what she could do to me in the bedroom.....
I just looked at her like...Aight!! I'm'a put it on ya Azz lol. Fair Warning! Lol.
Since you’ve been making music for a few years, how would you compare some of the earlier material you’ve written to your newest release “Bodi Snatcha”?
I think a lot of my early music was based on me trying to quote on quote " make it." You know, the shows, the fans, Making money off of music while doing something that I love. My newest material is me realizing that I already have made it. And now I'm living in it and giving you my life.
We’ve also been bumping your album! Congratulations on that. What have been some of your proudest or most memorable moments in music so far?
Man I appreciate you Checking out "Then till Now". That Album alone is definitely a moment for me because I made the album with all of my friends and that was my first actual real release.
Putting together my first tour was also dope. Started in Atlanta at the Apache Cafe for the bar exam which I came in second place. Next was the SEA Awards, Where I was only supposed to be doing a panel showcase, but I did so well that I was asked to perform in the main award show. The last stop on that tour was actually South by Southwest. I got a lot of love out there and I was just on the humble grind Ya know, just me and the homies. The thing about us is, We can walk into a room just us and end up drawing people to us just based on our aura. which happens to be one of the reasons why I know that what I'm doing is God sent.This is supposed to happen. I'm Supposed to be here.
The last moment would be when I got to spit in front of KXNG crooked I, The Horseshoe Gang and Sway.
I Auditioned for a competition called "My One Shot " and got picked to come to Atlanta and audition to get a record deal. I ended up killing my first audition and made it to the second round. The only thing that messed me up was confidentiality. I had just signed a confidentiality form and then I stupidly got on social media and let everybody know I made it to the second round. The reason that this was so bad was because the show aired on BET. I did get a cameo so that was cool lol.
We really appreciate you chatting with us about your incredible music! What’s next for you artistically? Does your creativity manifest itself in other ways?
I really appreciate you having me. What's next for me is more music and some visuals at the top of the year. You'll be seeing me doing more shows and going to different cities to work with other artists. They'll be merchandise coming soon. I have two other artist under "Classic Muzik". " TD " and " Rho Tha Rich". I just finished my first acting role. You'll see me in the film "Faithless" directed by Dujuan Austin. For everything else just stay tuned. Oh yeah, It's Mr.Adamsbtw!!
