Welcome to Buzz, Yung Leo! We love the empowering and uplifting feel of your recent single, "Too Good." What inspired you to create such a powerful song like this? 

Thanks! My new song, 'Too Good,' is about moving on from a relationship that broke your self-worth. The mystic imagery in the first verse represents letting yourself trust that things will get better when nothing points in that direction yet. I wrote the chorus as a mantra, something you might need while you first try to get back up, to remember that you are loved and that you are not alone. I felt like there was a gap in the conversation about trauma, closure, and healing. The fire metaphor symbolizes the drastic mindset change we need to be able to trust ourselves again—a spiritual rebirth.

What was your experience working with Luca The Producer for "Too Good"? Was this your first time working together? 

Luca and I have been working together since 2022. He’s an amazing producer and a great friend. I brought him 'Too Good,' which initially was a piano ballad. I told him what the aim was, and he messed it up just right. 

What was your songwriting process like for "Too Good?” Was it easy for you to lay it all on the line and write such compelling lyrics? 

I wrote this song with my good friend Brittany Kwasnik (aka Bayla) over Zoom last year. It’s a very personal song, so I wrote the two verses in about five minutes, haha. But we didn’t have a strong chorus before going into the studio to record. In the same kind of organic flow, all three of us wrote the chorus and recorded the crowd vocals on the same day. It's kinda wild how perfectly it all aligns, like

looking inwards for clues and then trusting the universe for whatever's missing. 

What would you say separates "Too Good" from your previous releases? What makes this song unique to you? 

This song has more of me than any other song we’ve worked on so far. My lyrics tend to be more abstract—sometimes cryptic—and I didn't think we would keep it that way, but it just works. 

What do you hope listeners take away after hearing "Too Good?” How did you want this song to impact them? 

I hope this song makes you feel good and helps you get to a better place. I want you to feel confident blasting it in your headphones on your way to school or work. I hope it gives you the strength to avoid old patterns, but also pick yourself up if you fall. Forgive yourself for past mistakes, learn to love yourself, and accept to be loved again.
