Independent music distribution and services company Amuse is strengthening its presence in the UK, appointing Mark “Mitch” Mitchell as General Manager and Tim Cronin as SVP, Head of Music, as the company enters its next phase of growth across Artist & Label Services.
The appointments arrive alongside the opening of Amuse’s new London office in Farringdon and follow a string of UK partnerships with Ryan Mack, Daisy Maybe, Kojo Funds and Manchester label project The Mill, founded by producer whYJay. Mitchell and Cronin will oversee teams across London, New York and Stockholm, spanning artist marketing, catalog development and optimization, A&R and sales.
Mitchell brings extensive major-label experience to the role, most notably serving more than five years as Co-President of Parlophone Records, where he worked alongside artists including Coldplay, Iron Maiden, Gorillaz, PinkPantheress and David Guetta. He later joined 0207 Def Jam/Universal Music Group after previously serving as General Manager at Atlantic Records UK.
Cronin joins from FUGA, where he led business development and sales across the UK and Ireland. His background spans records, publishing and artist management, including work with UK duo Oh Wonder and artists who have supported or collaborated with Lewis Capaldi and Fred again..
“We’re seeing growing demand from labels and managements looking for an active, modern partner,” Amuse CEO Giorgio D’Ambrosio said, noting that Mitchell and Cronin bring more than 40 years of combined industry experience.
The expansion also comes as Amuse prepares to launch a new invite-only insights platform this fall. Designed for marketing and label teams, the technology will track campaign performance, identify catalog opportunities and deliver targeted alerts around key market moments. The company says the platform could be particularly valuable for smaller independent teams without dedicated catalog optimization resources.
Founded in 2017, Amuse positions itself as an alternative to the traditional label model, combining distribution, funding and tailored artist services while allowing artists to maintain ownership and creative control. Its Artist & Label Services roster currently includes Yot Club, Deki Alem, Kojo Funds, Stela Cole, The Walters and Hannes.
With its London footprint growing and two veteran executives now leading its services operation, Amuse is making a bigger play for a segment of the industry increasingly defined by independent artists and labels seeking infrastructure without giving up control.
