Welcome back to BuzzMusic B-SIF! What can you tell us about your track “Kansas City Stepson”? What does this project represent for you?
Thank you for having me again!! Very honored!! The song talks about how I was in Fort Wayne at first but then moved to KC cause my mom didn’t want us to get caught up in the lifestyle but at the same time, it’s going on here as well. Also how there is so much talent here but they don’t get notice and I want to change that. This is my song to Kansas City. I’ve been here since 2003 and during this time I’ve been living here, Kansas City has made me feel like I was born here.
It wasn’t long since we’ve last featured your music! How do you stay on track to create relevant content so consistently?
When I go to the studio, I’ll try to get as many songs I can get done so I can prepare my next move if I want to put out something now or later.
Where is the best setting to listen to “Kansas City Stepson”, and what do you hope people take away from it?
I say driving thru the city with it blasting loud so they know the deal. Oh yeah, you have to be lit as well. I hope ppl take that there are lots of talent guys in Kansas City that want to make change.
What can you tell us about your upcoming EP “Ugly Winter Awesome Spring”?
It kind talks about what I was going thru this past winter but doesn’t go into detail but I can’t give you everything at once!
What will be the release date of this project and do you have any shows coming up to promote it?
Well I want to have it out by the end of 2019 but at the same time, I’ll have another one ready to go. When it comes to shows, I will definitely keep you posted in the future.
