Craymo Calls for Connection With New Single, “Love Together”

In a world that often feels divided, Craymo is choosing love, unity, and a retro beat to bring us all back together. The award-winning electronic pop artist, known for his uplifting message-driven music, is back with “Love Together,” a shimmering summer anthem that’s as danceable as it is heartfelt.

Craymo’s musical journey reads like a script meant for the big screen. Born Craig Stephen Raymo in the peaceful border town of Massena, New York, he grew up steeped in musical influence, from spinning vinyl on a childhood record player to belting out ballads in school choir and playing in jazz bands. But it was the pull of the spotlight and the power of storytelling—both musical and theatrical—that eventually led him west to Los Angeles. There, Craymo wore many hats: actor, vocalist, DJ, and most importantly, artist. With performances in shows like General Hospital and The Drew Carey Show, and musical appearances at venues like The Roxy and Whiskey A Go Go, Craymo carved a space that was uniquely his, where activism, emotion, and infectious melodies meet.

His latest release, “Love Together,” is a natural continuation of that path—a feel-good synth-pop track with a throwback ‘80s flair and a very now message. Written and recorded during the chaotic backdrop of the LA fires, the song’s message of connection and peace hit even harder. “It was surreal landing in LA to record and realizing the fires were raging,” Craymo reflects. “But somehow, the urgency of it all helped the message of the song come through more clearly.”

Co-written and produced by long-time collaborator Brandon Jarrett, the track is an energetic follow-up to his internationally recognized song “One Love One World (We Are One)”. Where that song called for global unity, “Love Together” is the personal echo—the reminder that togetherness starts at home, in our hearts, and on the dancefloor.

A lifelong advocate for LGBTQ+ equality, anti-bullying, mental health awareness, and world peace, Craymo channels these values into everything he creates. His music has won international songwriting awards, appeared in films and TV shows, and earned airplay around the world—but it’s his heart and hope for humanity that continue to set him apart.

Up next? A softer turn with “Tear Me Apart,” a ballad recorded in the same session. But for now, “Love Together” is your summer soundtrack for unity, joy, and the kind of dancing that makes you feel human again.

Because, as Craymo says, “We are all one human race.”

“Love Together” was created during a really intense moment in LA. How did the environment around you—literally burning—affect the energy and emotion in the studio while recording it?

It was very surreal, erie and apocalyptic being in LA that week for sure, watching the news reports of where the fires were happening and sprouting up, the air quality was very bad a few days, it was hard to breathe. It was a very intense energy around us for sure, but we had a mission to complete two songs in a short number of days. My co-writer and producer, Brandon Jarrett, and I kept our spirits and emotions high despite all the challenges we were facing. The love and inspiration of the message of unity and togetherness in “Love Together” really was the shining light that kept us going. It was a very emotional experience, and we were so pleased with the finished songs!

You’ve always been an artist who blends activism with pop—how do you strike the balance between creating something fun and still getting across such an important message?

Thank you, I am proud of that! I was in the closet as a gay man for most of my youth, I actually didn't come out to my family and everyone until I was in my late 30's. Equality for all has been a passion of mine my whole life. I have always believed that “we are one human race!” It’s important to incorporate a positive message and still keep it fun. Anthem songs are fun to create and perform. It’s a global message for sure.

From your early days in community theatre and spinning records to now releasing globally-heard anthems, what’s something you wish the younger Craymo knew back then?

I had a lot of setbacks, emotional and physical challenges in my life. I would have told my younger self to stay positive and not focus on the challenges, keep listening to your intuition, it always steers you in the right direction. Don't let negativity from yourself or from anyone else cloud your judgment.

“Love Together” is a spiritual successor to your hit “One Love One World.” In what ways do you feel your message has evolved since that first song?

"One Love One World" has been such an inspirational song globally, and it still is. I have a feeling that "Love Together" will have an equal or even greater impact on the world! It is a very dark time right now, especially in the USA. We need more positivity and enlightenment!

You’ve worn so many hats—actor, singer, advocate, producer. At this stage in your journey, what drives you most to keep creating music, and what do you want people to take away from this new release?

Music has always been my biggest passion in life. It has helped me through some very difficult times in my life and also has brought me so much joy!  It has helped me live life to the fullest. Music is in my soul, I am always creating songs, it gives me so much love and positive energy, being immersed in it.  I want people to be inspired, dance, groove,e and sing along to Love Together because it's what life should be about, experiencing more joy and love, together!
