Harris got into music at 10, putting simple loop packs together on Apple’s garage band. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Easton Harris! We loved “Jsyk,” what a heart-gripping release! We had to ask, what was the inspiration behind this song? Were you drawing from personal experience?

The inspiration for this song was when I broke up with my ex and how I was confused about why she had just lost feelings. I wanted her to know that in this song.

What was your favorite part of bringing your vision for “Jsyk” to life? Could you take us through the creative process?

One of my favorite parts of bringing JSYK to life was the production behind it and being able to hang with my musical friends and write a hit song.

What’s been your favorite part about being a musician and being able to release your music so far?

My favorite part of being a musician is how I can put the destructive emotions I feel and put them onto paper reasonably. Another thing about being a musician I like is sharing my music with people and seeing how happy it makes them.

What would you want it to be if your listeners could take one thing away from your music?

If people could take away one thing, it would be that if you ever feel down or upset, someone out there feels or has felt the same. I hope to be that beacon of light, and I hope to reach people in dark places.

You should expect to hear much more from me; my career is far from over! I am releasing an EP and a few singles very soon!
