inga Reclaims Her Fire and Redefines Desire on “leo venus”

There is a difference between loving deeply and disappearing inside what you love, and Chicago-based artist and poet inga explores that tension with striking vulnerability on her debut single, “leo venus.” Blending R&B, soul, hip-hop, and introspective storytelling, the track introduces an artist who treats music as more than performance, creating space for identity, spirituality, desire, and self-discovery to exist together.

Named after inga’s Venus placement in Leo, “leo venus” emerged from a relationship that forced her to reconsider how she gives and receives love. What began with attraction, yearning, and creative inspiration eventually became a lesson in separating someone’s potential from what they were actually capable of offering. That transformation also extends into the song’s spiritual foundation. inga intentionally released “leo venus” on December 4, the feast day of her guardian Orisha, Shango, in the Lucumí Ifá tradition. The connection brings themes of fire, power, creativity, passion, and transformation even deeper into the track’s world.
