INTERVIEW: Getting To Know Yung Dee

What's up Yung Dee! We're excited to have you on our Buzzmusic platform. When did you first find your love for Hip-Hop? do you recall some of your early influences for the genre?

I first found my love when I was a young boy. I’ve always loved music and I’ve been freestyling and rapping since middle school. My influences were my uncle, DMX, and Eminem and the king of pop.

The culture of hip-hop and rap has shifted over the years. as a rapper yourself, what's your opinion on the current state of hip-hop and how do you manage to stand out apart from the crowd!?

Our current state of hip hop really needs help, emotionally and physically. The “rap game” is full of goofys that got lucky. They sound alike and I can sometimes never tell the difference. I stand out because my barz actually make sense and it’s not just me repeating the same thing over and over. I try to add a little comedy to my rap too.

What would be some of the main themes behind the tough lyricism in most of your songs Yung Dee?

The main themes is to be yourself, don’t dickride, don’t ride waves but create them. And don’t cuff thotties. DO your RESEARCH.

f you could collaborate with ANY rapper of your choice, who would you select and why?

I would collaborate with the migos. I absolutely love the migos music. I’ve been listening to them a little before the blew up and I still listen to them now.

What's next for Yung Dee? What’s next?

The top!!! Billboard. My crown is waiting for me at the throne and I have to go and get it. I have the save hip hop before it’s too late.
