Some songs make noise. Others make moments. Iyuana’s “Ridin & Slidin” is the kind of track that grabs you by the hand, pulls you to your feet, and dares you not to smile. It’s a perfect blend of pop sweetness and country swagger, soaked in southern soul and crafted for maximum good vibes. From the first few bars, you know this is more than just a catchy tune.

It’s a whole experience. The groove hits with a warm pulse, powered by a tight rhythm section, funky horns, and those floaty guitar riffs that give the track its easy, breezy feel. Iyuana’s voice glides right on top, playful and full of confidence. She sounds like she’s having the time of her life, and that energy is contagious.Lyrically, it’s all about letting loose and joining in. There’s no pretension here, just a full-on celebration of rhythm, connection, and fun. You can practically hear the boots on the dance floor, feel the sweat in the air, and picture the smiles from ear to ear.

“Ridin & Slidin” doesn’t ask for your attention. It earns it.The music video drives that point home. Shot in her hometown of West Memphis, it captures a real-life gathering where friends, family, and neighbors are moving together to the custom line dance Iyuana choreographed herself. It’s not just a performance. It’s a vibe, a ritual, a reunion. It shows exactly what Iyuana stands for: community, accessibility, and joy that radiates far beyond the stage. What makes this track stand out is its sincerity. There’s no industry formula being followed.

There’s no need for validation. Iyuana knows who she is and what she brings to the table. With “Ridin & Slidin,” she offers a high-spirited invitation for everyone to join her. And by the time the chorus hits, you’ll be ready to ride along too.

What inspired the vibe and sound of "Ridin & Slidin" from the jump?

It was essential to create a more universal and original vibe and sound, appealing not just to people in the South but to all audiences. There is no particular target audience(s). As the lyrics say, "Everybody's moving to a brand new song."

Can you discuss choreographing the line dance and making it accessible to people of all ages?

The choreography of the line dance is definitely "all ages" appropriate. I made the moves conducive to the lyrics. If the choreography of the line dance and the lyrics of the song aren't compatible, it hinders the vibe. It has to make sense and feel good. To appeal to all ages, I had to be careful not to "over sexualize" the steps but to give it just enough jazz that a baby or a senior can comfortably get into it.

What does it mean to you to shoot the video in your hometown of West Memphis?

Shooting the video in West Memphis is something I take pride in. There is a quote that says, "Charity starts at home, then spreads abroad." I'm a stickler for "community," and love to take advantage of anytime I'm able to connect with the citizens of my hometown, primarily through my artistry.

How do your roots in gospel, R&B, and blues shape your approach to pop and country?

I believe it has molded me into a limitless artist, giving me the ability to provide variety to my fans, making the transition from pop to country smooth. It's also a PLUS, because I can be unpredictable. I love the spontaneity. It's exciting and heightens the anticipation. It keeps people asking, "What's next?" instead of saying, "Oh, we already know what to expect from her." It's all about presenting the "WOW FACTOR" in every approach.

What's the one feeling or message you hope people carry with them after hearing this song?

The objective is to take people away from the issues of life and focus on the joys that life truly brings.
