The trio of friends turned collaborators dazzle on their first collaboration.
With his strong pop-sensibilities and uncanny ability to captivate in many ways and styles, singer Khaled Rahime has established himself as a rising star in a lively Canadian scene. Having opened for a slew of titans in the industry like Cardi B, Tyga, Sean Kingston, and a few of RuPaul’s Drag Race queens, his talent has been acknowledged by his peers and the general public. With a musical future as bright as the stars in the sky, there’s every indication that this rising star is destined for great things.
While acclaimed releases like his 2018 single “Scars” first put Rahime on the map, subsequent releases like “In My Mind In My Head” and “Crash” showed an even higher ascension in the realms of artistry. Rahime’s artistic spirit did not rest, and after moving to Vancouver in 2022, Khaled released another highly acclaimed EP, “For when you’re happy, when you’re sad, when you feel nothing.” With other releases on the horizon, another of his many talents is quickly becoming apparent: his ability to thrive in collaborations. Having made many genuine connections outside artistic settings, Khaled’s latest release sees those connections hold even in music.
“Pose” is a release that, in many ways, feels like a long time coming. For this offering, Rahime tapped close friends Reid Zakos and Koray Dugencili, electrifying musicians in their own right, making for a star-studded lineup. On “Pose,” groovy yet hypnotizing instrumental and vocal performances instantly transport you to Rahime’s mesmerizing soundscape.
The track evokes the bright camera flashes and glamour of a fun club with a VIP and bottle service night out with your posse. It’s sleek, groovy, and liberating, all while maintaining a sense of fun. Rahime and Zakos captivate with similar back-to-back verses before rapper Dugencili delivers an epic verse to round things off. It’s a must-listen release, and you heard it here first.
“Pose” is an exciting, hypnotizing dance anthem that’s sure to have you on the dancefloor in no time. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Rahime’s new release, “Pose,” out August 24th.
