Seattle based rock duo Duke Evers (a moniker pinched from an intriguing character in the Rocky trilogy) is comprised of Kyle and Josh, two up and coming musicians. When the chatter of the music biz got a little two loud, they did what they do best and simply turned up the amps and pounded a little harder on the drums. Kyle and Josh claim that they can’t please the suits if they can’t hear their pleas. This exhilarating outburst against the industry is captured on Duke Evers’ sophomore album, “Dreams And Desires That Are Common To Youth”.
“Duster” is an eclectic and spunky new track off of the duo’s sophomore album “Dreams And Desires That Are Common To Youth”. With an infectiously catchy melody, tight grooves, pummelling guitar and dreamy vocals to blow your mind, Duke Evers’ track “Duster” is a rock hit. “Duster” exudes the high energy and authentic sounds that Duke Evers is known for. The rhythmic textures fused with the light-hearted lyricism take the listener on a journey through the new-age sound. Duke Evers has established their craft from the ground up. They make music that’s relatable for their listeners but is original and true to themselves. I highly recommend you check out “Duster” and the entire album “Dreams And Desires That Are Common To Youth”.

Hello Kyle and Josh! Welcome to BuzzMusic! How did Duke Evers come to fruition? How did you two meet?
Kyle placed an ad in Craigslist for a roommate. We were both musicians but played in different bands and one night starting jamming in the living room. The rest is history.
What’s your writing process like together?
It's an organic process. We rehearse 5 nights a week so I'll take ideas I've had during the day or week and we'll just start putting parts together until we get to something we like.
What’s the meaning behind your track “Duster”? What inspired it?
Duster is about a vintage classic car.
What challenges have you faced as up and coming artists? How do you overcome these challenges?
At the start of our careers, we thought about "making it" a lot. We dreamed of a label signing, big record deals and living the rock star life. As we've had success and even label contracts, what is most important to us now is owning our own music. We've learned through this process how quickly our art can be taken away from us and our fans.
What overall theme do you hope your listeners take away from your album “Dreams And Desires That Are Common To Youth”?
Fun. We want our fans and the people who listen to this album to hear the fun we had making this record. We allowed ourselves to create exactly what we wanted for the first time.
