Svea Is Showing Us Her "Bold" Side With Recent Single Release

Attending Berklee College of Music, transforming artist Svea is using her knowledge and experience to integrate and blend together stories within her music. Svea surrounds herself with a positive and uplifting community, and you can feel that type of honest energy merged into her production. Svea has lived a hectic life, and gathers that eccentric energy, twisting it to her advantage to create a noteworthy lyrical execution.

Svea's vocal production in "Bold" is raw and rustic. Her sound is unique--each element of her voice blends with each other so incredibly well, curating a sound that is innocent, yet strong, and harmonious, yet aggressive with the execution. Svea's voice melts into your ears like actual silk in "Bold". She definitely has one of those voices that were meant to sing and captivate listeners while doing it. Svea is angelic in every way possible, and we know that we definitely found our new artist obsession of the week after giving a listen to "Bold"! Svea is undoubtedly on a creative journey, and we're anticipating what she's planning on curating next. We're 10/10 keeping an eye out for Svea's music, and we highly recommend you get on track with the new wave of Svea.

Hello Svea! Welcome to BuzzMusic! We're excited to be featuring your music on our platform! Can you tell our readers a little bit about yourself as an artist?

Hello, and thank you! I am so excited to be featured on your platform too, and okay a little bit about me. I am an indie-pop artist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am vegan and love to make vegan chocolate cake from time to time. My favorite part about writing songs is sharing them with others and building a connection through shared emotions and experiences. The first song I wrote was when I was 13 about a boy I was too shy to talk to, and seven years later, I am still writing those types of songs.

What were the most impactful lyrics in your opinion for "Bold"?

"So I hope you'll come back the next day, hope that my heart won't stop baby, oh, and I will not forget how to breath when you look at me, look at me baby, baby, look at me, look at me, stop me in my tracks baby." It's the bridge of the song. When I sing it I go back to the feeling of trying to talk to someone I'm attracted to, and how fast my heart and mind races.

Would you say that your music is a large reflection of your personal and private experiences?

Of course! All my music is a direct reflection of my personal and private experiences. Songs to me are like dreams and memories that I weave with music. They are super personal even if they are not songs about myself.

Can you tell us more about the creative process behind "Bold"?

Yeah! I met the producer of the song, Kyle Burke, at LASC (Los Angeles Songwriters Collective). He had these four chords on an electric guitar, and I wrote over them. Bold was a song that came to me without much effort. I think I wrote lyrics and melody in a little under 40 minutes and then the rest of it was working on vocals. I wanted them to be as raw as possible, no auto-tune. Kyle worked on all of the production, and he got it. It is a pretty universal feeling, feeling nervous to talk to someone cute. I was in the process of moving to Boston to go to Berklee College of Music, and therefore, there wasn't much time at all for revision, but I'm happy with the final product.

What are some things we can look forward to hearing from you in the near future?

My next single, Freckles is coming out in September, and then I am planning an EP release after that!
