Los Angeles based psychedelic Blues/Rock band The Blood Moon Howlers release their latest music video to their single “Moonlighters”. Formed in 2017, The Blood Moon Howlers consist of Matt Wayne (guitar/vocals), JuJu (bass/vocals/guitar), Brandon Cooke (drums/percussion), and Evan Hatfield (Sax). Their recent single and music video “Moonlighters” is said to surround themes of living your life without caring what other people may think of you, and not paying attention to social norms. The Blood Moon Howlers’ fun-loving music video gives us a peek into the band’s creativity and ability to conjure up different meanings within one project.

The Blood Moon Howlers’ clever music video “Moonlighters” focusses on two different scenes that capture the same overall meaning. Not to mention the song itself “Moonlighters” brings forward groovy and upbeat psych/blues-rock that keeps their video all the more intriguing.

Going back and forth between scenes of a young man working himself down because of society’s body image standards, and a young couple where the attention is evidently one-sided. After breaking down those barriers of caring with others think, the riveting instrumentals (guitars/sax) are at their peak ending off the video with a universal message of doing what you love for you and you only. The Blood Moon Howlers have taken us through everyday struggles and crafted a song/video that is easily relatable and overall empowering. Don’t forget to check out “Moonlighters”.
