Tia Lowe Is the Sultry New Voice You Should Have Flowing Through Your Headphones

The young singer's buttery smooth vocals and jazzy bass lines evoke sensual self-confidence while also inviting listeners to dance to her unique melodies. Having grown up with a mum equally enamored by music (Lou Mullenger, one half of “The Melody Men”), Tia naturally progressed into creating music from a young age. “⁠I think I always wanted to create music coming from a musical background, my mum being a producer and singer. It’s always been in my blood,” Tia explained.

Having worked alongside her talented mum, Tia has continued to grow as a musician as her life flourishes, which allows her to build lyrics around her life experiences. Her desire-filled lyrics perfectly capture her confidence, and that within the listeners is immediately evoked when she takes to the stage. When describing her sound, Tia said her sound is “quite versatile.” She accredited this to her love of experimenting across different genres; “I would say overall it’s a smooth selection & you could definitely find a song for every mood.” And this can be seen clearly across her ever-growing library of work. From her earliest track, ‘Rockaboat,’ which plays alongside a lo-fi beat, Tia has kept a consistently tantalizing vibe whilst developing her tracks to include a more developed production progression. And while her songs grow in complexity, Tia wants “people to feel good & have positive vibrations when they hear ‘Tia Lowe’.”

Her latest track, ‘Frk,’ really leans into her inner sauciness. When speaking on the track, Tia explained that the song is about “fulfilling your partner's desires. Tapping into that sexy nature & showing him “all the things that I can be”.” The track, made by talented producer Judah Jump in Montreal, was then co-produced by Tia and her mum. The pair added some more saucy sax sounds to enhance that alluring sound, and with the help of Tia’s partner, who took the cover art images, ‘Frk’ was born. Her smooth vocals make this track a perfect sound for the end of a hot, steamy summer's day, really one for anyone ready to embrace their inner ‘Frk’. “⁠I’m definitely an artist that does have a lot of sensual tunes,” Tia said. “But I do like to write about everything. Generally, a lot of my unreleased stuff is super different, even tapping into soft rock; as I mentioned, I love to experiment with different genres.” And it’s this interest in expanding and learning that makes Tia such an exciting new creative.
