Toxic Earthlings Calls On Us To Save "Mother Earth"

Nostalgic grunge/punk rock recording artist, producer, and singer-songwriter Toxic Earthlings releases his big, bold, and meaningful debut single entitled "Mother Earth."

The compelling debut single is the result of dedicated artistry from producer and songwriter Ryan Schurman. His brainchild, Toxic Earthlings, is on a mission to spark self-awareness of our brutal impact on the planet and our societies.

Schurman said that living in these fragile times; it's devastating to see us repeat our mistakes from the past. So much so that we're reaching a boiling point. He discusses climate change, human rights issues, and the wars being waged in front of our eyes. But, with a little hard work, dedication, and hope, as can save our precious home, "Mother Earth."

Listening to the debut single, the instrumentals roar open with heavy electric guitars and stomping drums that pierce our speakers right off the bat. Schurman's raspy and powerful vocals take our speakers by the horns and throw us into the fire of his conceptual lyrics, discussing how we humans can't seem to treat our home right.

This song is a thrilling scorcher of a single, and it's one hell of a way to kick off a solo music career. Schurman urges us to rethink our choices while the exhilarating instrumentals pump through our speakers with energy and might. Before we know it, Toxic Earthlings sends us into this lively, upbeat, and anthemic outro that leaves us chanting Schurman's lyrics until the very last beat.

Do your part in changing our world for the better with some help and motivation from Toxic Earthlings' debut single, "Mother Earth," now available on all digital streaming platforms.

Welcome to BuzzMusic, Toxic Earthlings. We genuinely appreciate such a conceptual and thrilling song like your debut single, "Mother Earth." What inspired you to create a song about climate change and treating mother nature better?

Living during a global pandemic with injustice events unfolding around us and being stuck at home during a lockdown really pushed me to the creative breaking point. We've all become very disconnected from the original ties we used to share with our land and "Mother Earth." Being bottled up in concrete wastelands far from clean running rivers and lush forests, we continue down this path of destruction and inequality with one another. At the end of each day we all share the same planet and this song's intention was to make you remember where it all began when times were much more rooted in the basic necessities of life that we have now forgotten. It is time we listen closer to indigenous peoples & their communities, to understand our lost connections and appreciation for the land "Mother Earth."

What was your songwriting process like for "Mother Earth"? Would you say it was rather cathartic, considering your performance is so passionate and eager?

It was a very cathartic process. Being able to flush out all the bottled-up emotions I've saved up during this global pandemic and harness them all into this one song.

What was the most rewarding part about creating "Mother Earth"? What did you appreciate most about creating the single?

The most rewarding part about creating this single was being able to write, perform and produce every aspect of this song myself. Being a drummer all my life and performing other people's music has been amazing, but I've always dreamt of writing my own music someday. Growing up I was always influenced by multi-instrumentalist "Dave Grohl" from Nirvana & the Foo Fighters. I always told myself "If the drummer Dave Grohl can do all that himself, why can't I ?!" So I finally reached my full creative capacity and confidence to stand behind my own song and message. It only took 32 years plus a global pandemic to push me to my creative limit and finally release my own music.

Why did you decide to drop "Mother Earth" as your big debut single? How does this song help listeners get to know you?

I decided to release "Mother Earth" as the debut single because I felt it was a topic we can all relate to at this time. This song's message is the foundation for building the rest of my concept album, which is currently in the works and I look forward to releasing by sometime in 2023.
