Hey Tucker! Welcome to BuzzMusic! What does the release of your EP “Yesterday’s Sun” represent for you?
Yesterday’s Sun is a representation of the artist I am, and aspire to be. The lyrics are real, the music is all from my head and it excites me that this was just my first piece of work. This was the first of many, music is my passion and I’m always writing more so this is just the start.
What’s the overall concept behind the EP?
All the songs are in an order that makes sense lyrically. They all connect to each other in a way of nostalgia, broken connections and moving forward in your life. It is about getting out of the storm you’re in and finding your way back into the sun.
Can you tell us more about the lyrics within “Walking Away” Ft Patch? What inspired this song?
“Walking Away” Ft. Patch was the first song I wrote, it was simply about moving away from something that is bringing you down, and not letting you feel like yourself. Everyone is watching you nowadays, we allow them to, but sometimes you just need to walk away.
What has been one of your most memorable or life-changing achievements as an artist so far?
Writing “Too Far Gone” was an eye-opener for me. I really let the music take control and drive the creation of the song. I’m always learning and improving musically, and “Too Far Gone” was a song I made realizing how much I could put into one track.
What next for you through the end of 2019?
I am currently working on my next project. I’m always writing something, as of now, I have 5 songs in the works. I plan for this next project to come out right when it’s done, there’s no need to wait. I expect it to be around 10 or 12 songs, all of which will be more experienced pieces of music.
