Ciinco is a new upcoming artist making waves here in Los Angeles. Ciinco moved here from Atlanta but was originally from New York. Ciinco is no stranger to the struggle and his smooth, hip-hop style conveys a message to inspire people to do what they want to do. His message is real feel-good music with an Atlanta twist and a new west coast vibe. With his ability to move a crowd and draw them into his vibe, he delivers a hype beat with lyrics designed to make you think.
Ciinco’s latest track is titled “Lemonade” and the musicality of the track has much more to it than the average hip-hop beat tends to offer. The opening few moments showcase a fresh use of synths and sounds that seem new yet that effectively still represent the same simplicity when it comes to the chords and notes chosen for the signature riff. When Ciinco’s vocals come into play within “Lemonade” it underlines that central character of the song. The sound of the voice, the flow, it all adds to that original element of the unexpected. The music throughout “Lemonade” is smooth and everything works well to maintain this, but there’s also a certain truth to it all. “Lemonade” talks about the difficulties of life through the raw sound of the performances. There’s a confidence about it all that hip-hop fans will likely be drawn to.

Hey Ciinco! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you tell us about your upbringing? How did you get started in music?
My start in music was totally out of the blue. I was always into sports and things like that, but my cousin, who had been doing music already, told me that I should try it. So he put on a beat and we just made it happen.
“Lemonade” seems to have a diverse lyrical depth to it! What was the inspiration behind this song?
The inspiration for this song was one point in my life where I was going through a rough patch. Through everything I was able to grind and get out of the situation that I was in, so Lemonade is definitely a representation of that point in my life for sure.
What is your writing process generally like?
Honestly, I just go with what I’m feeling and that generates into something I’ve been through or currently going through at the moment or that others may be dealing with, as well. I combine those aspects into the songs I create.
If you had to pick just one song in your collection to adequately describe your sound, which song would you choose and why?
Most definitely “Fiji Fresh.” It’s a cool song about being the best you and standing out from the rest. Plus the vision of vibing on an island came to me when I wrote this song. "Fiji Fresh" is definitely a song that would describe my sound right now.
What do you hope to achieve as a hip-hop artist through the end of 2019?
Just more creativity with my music and more interaction with people who enjoy my music. I get a lot of positive responses and that is something that I really enjoy. I want to take my music to the crowd and deliver a message they can all relate to.
