Doesn’t letting go every once in a while feel good?
After immediately making a statement with the release of his acclaimed 2020 debut, “Rollin,” Philadelphia native Diamond Blacc has since continuously proven himself as one of the most creative voices on the hip-hop scene today.
A multi-faceted creative with an artistic vision that is as expansive as his artistic palette, Diamond Blacc’s trajectory has remained firmly upwards. As he continues putting on for his city and writing his name in the history books, this rising star seems destined for the biggest stages.
Although “Rollin” was our first introduction to Diamond Blacc and his massive simmering potential, it was on his six-song EP “Shannon’s Son” that he really started to show us his artistic genius in its entirety.
Believing that music is a “window to the soul and key to the heart,” the Philly native’s goal is to make music that uplifts, empowers and inspires. It’s deeper than just a hobby for the Philly native; you can clearly feel this passion when it manifests in his music.
Blacc’s latest release, “F.U.C.K,” is a steamy affair that sees Blacc leave all inhibitions at the door as he invites you to cut loose. Over a bouncy instrumental performance, Blacc drops audacious lines like “I need a freak a leak up in my sheets / I got the magic stick, you better grab that shit” with absolute confidence.
Accompanied by a music video that sees him combine his hypnotizing cadence with dynamic screen presence, “F.U.C.K” is an offering that shows off Blacc’s multiple artistic talents. There’s a little something for everyone to love, and Blacc wouldn’t have it any other way.

Welcome to Buzz, Diamond Blacc! We loved “F.U.C.K”, and we had to ask! What did the creative process behind this release look like, could you take us through it?
Thanks so much for having me, and I'm so happy to hear you dig the song! This project unlocked such a different plane and space for me mentally and creatively. It is truly a labor of love, and it's taken me about three years to create it from its inception as just an idea to a full song and production complete with videography and digital imagery.
What was your favorite part of bringing your vision for the music video to life?
My favorite part about bringing my vision for this music video to life was shopping for all the items I needed. I enjoy hunting for specific items I have in my mind and finding unique and creative pieces for my visuals. My parents actually join me on my quests, and my nana has some of the coolest antiques I often use, so you could say it's a family affair. Costumes and wardrobe are always the first things to pop into my mind, so once I have the looks together, I am able to frame the sequence and vibe of the aesthetic I am aiming to portray.
What does music mean to you, and what do you enjoy most about making music?
Music means so much to me as I stumbled upon my musical abilities at one of the lowest points in my life. I truly knew it was a gift from God because it brought me joy and happiness, which was a stark contrast to my life at the time.
Music is a gift, one that is interchangeable and truly meant to be enjoyed by all. I enjoy the freedom and expression of making music, and I am grateful that I am able to do it myself and for myself. It gives me hope, and it is one of the best ways to keep it alive.
What would you like listeners to feel when they hear your music?
Music is the window to the soul and the key to the heart. I seek to uplift, empower, and inspire. My music is a reflection of my life and experiences. We are all on this crazy journey of life together. I hope my music can accompany you along the ride.
What’s next for Diamond Blacc? Is there anything you’d like to say to your fans?
