RAANI is an authentic and refreshing solo pop artist from Edmonton, Alberta. As a singer songwriter, RAANI prides herself on creating music that focuses on empowerment and gender equality. Pulling influences from notable artists like Ariana Grande, Beyonce and Khalid, RAANI adds her own personal flare to set her apart in today’s music industry.
RAANI’s latest release “Chains” was written with Troy Samson and Tea Petrovic in Vancouver, BC. The song is produced by Troy Samson (MadLucky Music), mixed by Adam Royce (ARWR Music Group) in Toronto, ON and mastered by Phil Demetro (Lacquer Channel Mastering) in Toronto, ON. The eclectic pop single “Chains” is all about breaking free from what others think is best for you and living live how you want to live it. The contemporary pop track is layered with elements of reggae and soul and adds a vibrant new wave sound to RAANI’s already impressive repertoire. “One day I’ll be flying high above the clouds, Tell me how you like me now” is my favorite lyric because it’s saying that no matter what circumstance RAANI will overcome it and make it to the top. It boasts the kinds of confidence and female empowerment that’s much needed and so admirable in today’s society. We can’t get enough of RAANI and her new single “Chains”. I highly recommend you check it out and stay on the lookout for the music video, set to drop later this summer!
