Welcome to BuzzMusic, Drachel! Congratulations on the release of your latest single, "Champagne & Roses." With such an expressive song that spoke to us dearly, is there a story behind the inspiration of this record?

It was actually inspired by my parents! They were high school sweethearts and have now been happily married for 25 years. Growing up around that kind of love taught me never to settle for less than I deserve. Watching the way my dad treats my mom—showed me how a gentleman should treat a lady.

Let's talk about the music video! What was the concept in your mind when bringing this vision to life? Did it come out exactly how you imagined?

Right off the bat, I knew I wanted the music video to illustrate the real meaning of the song. I think that even though it’s cute and fun with a sort of tongue-in-cheek lyrics, “Champagne & Roses” has an important message. A successful relationship isn’t about how much money you spend; it’s just about making your partner feel loved. I really wanted to emphasize the compromise factor, and show both characters going the extra mile, even if it means getting out of their comfort zones a little!

Was there anyone assisting you with the production of this record? How did they help bring the essence of "Champagne & Roses" to fruition?

Yes! Sean Giovanni at The Record Shop is my producer and artist mentor. I told him my vision when I sent the first work tape for Champagne, and he got to work immediately. He helped me revise the song until it sounded like it did in my head. He was always available to bounce lyric ideas off of, and he found the perfect team of musicians for the live-band studio recording we wanted. He mixed the song, and Joe LaPorta mastered it!

If your audience could know one thing about you that they don't already, what would you want it to be?

I would just want people to know how grateful I am for them listening to my song!! This has been my dream since I was 5 years old, and it feels so surreal every time I get a message from someone saying that my music means something to them.

What's next for you?

I am so excited about my next single, and I’m hoping to release as soon as I can! It means so much to me, and it’s probably my favorite song I’ve ever written, so I can’t wait for y’all to hear it!
