- YG Marley Ignites A Movement With New Single, 'Survival'
Just as the springtime sun blesses the skin, YG Marley treats listeners to an enchanting yet empowering new reggae single titled "Survival." With only two official singles under his belt, not to mention "Freedom" live in Saudi Arabia, YG Marley has undoubtedly left his mark on the modern music scene. In this short period of time, the newest Marley star has landed over 12 million loyal Spotify listeners who keep coming back for more empowering and elevated tunes rooted in an iconic family tree. This time around, the Young Gong has sounded once more, blessing new and loyal listeners with a powerful and uplifting single that would indeed make his grandfather proud. "Survival" is the perfect follow-up to the chart-topping debut single, "Praise Jah In The Moonlight," co-written with YG's mother, Ms. Lauryn Hill. "Survival" brings the rhythm and good vibes from the get-go, making room for YG Marley to rain down with a message that's bigger than all of us: we must find greatness from within and embrace who we are, for that's our most powerful weapon against those who silence us. He also touches on fighting back against the oppressors, not letting them control us, but using their hatred as fuel to create a better tomorrow. We couldn't have asked for a better sophomore single from the Yong Gong. He's wowed the world with "Praise Jah In The Moonlight," and "Survival" is but a testament to the talented and humanity-forward family tree he comes from. Whether you're fighting to embrace your true self or for equality in this world of cruelty, let "Survival" be your anthem. instagram.com/ygmarley
- Reasons Why Music Artists Must Invest In Their Social Media Following
Music artists already have a lot on their plate – composing music, writing lyrics, recording in studios, performing in different gigs, and many more. Since there’s already a lot going on in their everyday lives, social media isn’t usually the first nor the second thing that comes to their minds when growing their career. While this is usually okay in previous years, a lot has changed, and more and more people are spending hours on these platforms. And that means one thing for music artists… exposure. Exposure is one of the most important factors in growing a music artist’s career, and growing their social media following can do just that. The best thing about it is that all you need to have is a capable device, a fast internet connection like Dish Internet, and a little bit of patience and hard work. So, if you’re wondering why music artists need to invest in their social media following, here’s why: You Can Save Money Let’s be honest: pursuing a music career can be expensive. Recording studio time, music production costs, and even creating high-quality music videos can quickly drain an artist's budget – especially if you’re building your brand. Social media platforms allow you to promote your music for free to people in your location and worldwide. You don’t have to rely solely on record labels and traditional media outlets for exposure. This means that you only need to have a recording device—it could be a phone or a laptop—edit it as you see fit, and then upload it on your social media page. That’s how easy it is. Of course, social media is an online platform, so having a reliable connection, whether cable, fiber, or satellite internet, is a must. It Allows You To Connect With Your Fans Directly When you personally post on your social media accounts, you’ll have the chance to connect with your fans directly, regardless if it’s replying to their comments or noticing their chats during live streaming. We’re pretty sure you’ve been a fan at least once, so you know how it feels if you get noticed by your favorite artist. This can help music artists grow a solid fanbase because as you constantly interact with them, they will feel seen, heard, and valued – meaning, they will stick with you no matter what. They'll be the first to share your music with their friends, buy your merchandise, and attend your shows. This passionate fanbase becomes the foundation for a successful and sustainable music career. Your Music Can Go Viral Nowadays, going viral can lead anyone to the spotlight. With social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, just a clip of your song can make a big difference in your career. In fact, some of the biggest artists we have right now are going viral on social media, like Justin Bieber on YouTube and Lil Nas X on TikTok. It’s also helpful to host regular live streams once you have enough following so it can grow organically. However, if you plan to do this, you will need to have high speed fiber internet to prevent delays and disconnects when doing life. You Can Connect With Other Artists Social media connects artists with other musicians, industry professionals, and potential collaborators. Building relationships online can lead to exciting opportunities, like co-writing sessions, featuring on other artists' tracks, or even landing a record deal. Social media can connect music artists with other musicians for collaborations. This would be greater exposure, especially if you get noticed by a popular music artist. Moreover, you can participate in various activities, such as doing live streams together or, even better, online concerts. Social media is very lucrative for creative people, so you can earn extra money if you have the right strategy. Final Thoughts Music artists must invest in their social media following as early as now. Many musicians are already using this strategy, but it’s not yet too late to start. Doing this as early as possible can benefit your music career in ways more than one, so what are you waiting for? Start creating your social media pages and be consistent in posting content. Good luck!
- Taylor Swift the Era’s Tour (Taylor’s Version) Disney+ Review
Taylor Swift’s The Era’s Tour has been the talk of the town for so many months now, and it won’t stop anytime soon. As the highest-grossing world tour of all time, it’s no wonder why millions of people have flown in and out of cities and foreign countries just to watch the Taylor Swift perform. Of course, The Era’s Tour isn’t just a simple concert. It's more of a love letter to her fans and a testament to her ever-evolving music. Not all her fans can afford concert tickets, let alone fly to a different city or country to watch her live, so it’s a dream come true for countless fans who can't experience it live. Right now, it’s only available on Disney+ and Apple TV, but hopefully soon, it will also be available on other streaming platforms such as Netflix, Sling TV, Hulu, and more. The Era’s Tour Movie Set List The Era’s Tour movie was filmed during her 3-day concert in Los Angeles at the SoFi Stadium. Basically, the concert is about her musical eras, from her first album in 2006 (Taylor Swift) to her 2022 album called Midnights. Of course, if you grew up listening to her songs, you’ll sing along throughout the entire film. She sang 45 tracks over the 3-hour and 15-minute film. Here’s the album/songs she sang in order: If you’re going to watch this 3-hour movie, make sure to have a stable internet connection like Dish Internet so you can really enjoy the concert like you’re physically in the stadium. It’s a beautiful movie, especially if you have loved Taylor’s songs over the years. Our Verdict? A Musical Masterpiece of the Generation Who would’ve thought someone could create a cohesive concert over a decade of musical evolution? Taylor Swift is truly a musical genius for pulling this off. T he costumes, the backdrops, and the choreography worked together as they should. And her vocals? Divine. Add to that the beautiful voices of the crowd singing along with her. Honestly, there’s not much to say about the film. It’s the type of movie you watch and you won’t even notice the time passing. We recommend that you watch this on your TV or laptop. But if you prefer to watch it on your mobile phone, ensure you have a fast and stable wireless service. Otherwise, download it for offline viewing for a smoother viewing experience. What’s Next for Taylor Swift? As of this writing, The Era’s Tour is still happening, with around 50 shows left. But even with Taylor’s hectic schedule, she was able to create a new album recently released called The Tortured Poets Department. It'll be interesting to see if any of these new songs are incorporated into the remaining shows or if perhaps they'll be the foundation for a future tour altogether. However, she’ll unlikely hold another tour anytime soon, so that might have to wait. One thing's for certain: Taylor Swift shows no signs of slowing down. We can't wait to see what musical masterpiece she comes up with next.
- Top Live Streaming Platforms For Musicians 2024
If you have noticed, more and more famous and up-and-coming artists are live streaming on various platforms—Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and even YouTube. This shows that live streaming has become one of the trends these days. However, is that all there is, or is there something more to it than many people know? Some platforms allow viewers to send gifts/stars, which the live streamer can convert to cash, allowing them to earn money while live streaming. However, not all music artists are interested in monetization. Some just genuinely want to share their craft. Nonetheless, we've researched and determined the best live-streaming platforms for musicians in 2024. But before that, music artists who want to venture into live streaming need reliable internet providers because a stable internet connection is the foundation for a smooth and uninterrupted live stream. Here are the top live-streaming platforms for musicians this 2024. Instagram Live According to Statisa's projection, Instagram users will reach 1.4 billion this year, which means that at least a portion of this number, at least, will be exposed to your music even if they aren't following you yet. And if you already have a massive social media following, that's much better because when you livestream, all your followers will see it and possibly watch you live. This increases your online presence and potentially boosts your following even more, even though the digital music space is already crowded. Instagram is known for quality photos and videos, so your Instagram followers will not appreciate it if your live stream is constantly laggy and pixelated due to a slow internet connection. So, invest in reputable wireless providers for smooth live-stream sessions. Facebook Live If you are considering monetization, Facebook is one of the best platforms for growing your following. When live streaming on Facebook, you can receive stars from your viewers, which you can convert into real money. Right now, the conversion is 1 star = $0.01. While it might seem low to many, imagine the stars you'll receive if you have a thousand or a million viewers. Not all accounts can receive stars, so you will need to exert an effort to grow your followers first. According to Meta’s policy, you must have at least 500 followers for at least 30 days. When you’re eligible, you must agree to Meta’s terms and conditions regarding monetization. YouTube Live YouTube has always been regarded as the streaming giant, even before Netflix became popular. Like other platforms, you can use YouTube Live to host mini-online concerts or simply interact with your fans. The best thing about YouTube is that when you optimize your page and post quality videos regularly, you can also monetize your YouTube account. However, before enjoying these perks, you must qualify for the YouTube Partner Program. Here are the important guidelines to remember: You'll need to reach 1,000 subscribers and accumulate 4,000 hours of valid public watch time on your videos over the past year. You must have at least 1,000 subscribers and 10 million valid public views on your Shorts videos within the last 90 days. Before pursuing this path, ensure you’ve looked into the best internet providers like DISH Network Internet in your area and subscribed to at least one to avoid delays and disconnects while live streaming. TikTok TikTok is one of the most rewarding streaming platforms out there for musicians as of writing. The virality factor is high, and the right song or performance can explode your reach overnight. Even if you don’t have a lot of followers, many people can still watch you live. Moreover, the interactive TikTok gifting option encourages people to send more gifts to live streamers. These gifts can also be converted to real money, ranging from $0.01 to over $500. Wrapping Up Thanks to the constant development of social media platform developers, music artists can now share their music online without going through complex procedures and waiting for someone to discover it. They can take the matter into their own hands and build their career from scratch. If you’re a musician who’s still waiting to go viral, don’t worry. You’ll get there in no time. Good luck!

West Coast sparkle-punk trio Bae Baracus is back with a new single, 'People,' from their upcoming full-length album 'Release,' set to drop via Boomsmack Records on May 31. Bae Baracus's new material is intentionally darker than their previous records, exploring the double-edged themes of liberation and the ennui accompanying it. - Tune Into the Next “EPISODE” of ROS’s Impressive Musical Journey
Atlanta-based DJ-turned-recording artist and label owner ROS is turning heads with his newest and lead single from his upcoming album of the same name, EPISODE. With a debut single, "Let It Snow," in 2020, followed by the sophomore "Too Late" featuring Aura Jade in 2021, ROS took a hiatus to reset personally and creatively. That reset led him to release his new single "EPISODE" under his own boutique label, Def Alien Recordings. With his new label, upcoming album, and new single, ROS is entering a new chapter in his 30-year career. He has a deep desire to challenge himself and achieve authentic engagement in the music industry, and "EPISODE" perfectly puts that mission into motion. The new single kicks off with a heavily groovy and alluring hip-hop beat, echoing the nostalgic sound and style of greats like LL Cool J. From the get-go, there's no holding ROS back. His flow is killer, and his ability to paint such vivid pictures through his lyrics is wildly impressive. If anything, it shows exactly what 30 years in the music industry does for someone. There's no denying that ROS has talent, but perhaps what's even more impressive is his grit, consistency, and ability to rebrand himself as a performer for the modern day. "EPISODE" is a prime example of that while also showcasing ROS's insane vocal delivery that makes us weak in the knees. It's powerful, attention-commanding, and packs all the good vibes we could ask for. Tune into the next "EPISODE" of ROS's journey with his latest single, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Instagram

- We Feed Alone Unleashes Their Emotions In "What Burns Beneath"
The versatile alternative rock band We Feed Alone, with their atmospheric and ultra-personal single and lyric video, "What Burns Beneath," brings vast musical heritage to the modern independent music scene. Co-founded by Eric Straton, who grew up immersed in music with his father's music store and his participation in the local punk scene, The Pop Culture Suicides eventually started playing guitar. Later, at 14, he switched to drums and found his passion there. He also played with The Pop Culture Suicides in 2005, a band started by former Marilyn Manson guitarist Zim Zum. It wasn't until 2010 that Straton co-founded We Feed Alone with Doug Wagner and released a self-titled album. After a personal hiatus, the duo is back and better than ever, with massive collaborations and impactful releases like their latest single, "What Burns Beneath." This new track is incredibly personal. It softly opens with a hazy, surreal, and atmospheric alternative rock vibe, kicking the song into gear with maximum emotion. Seconds into hearing it, you can literally feel the weight of the song's meaning. While discussing fated love and two souls being eternally bound in this world and the next, We Feed Alone leaves us captivated by the song's rich emotion and ghostly feel. Adding to the experience is the song's lyric video, which captures scenes meant to take viewers through different states of consciousness, out of the black and into the blue. With slight distortion reminiscent of VCR days, this video shows viewers the song's creation and the overall vibe rather than the lyrical story. But it's an engaging, introspective visual experience that anyone can appreciate. Dive into the rich emotion of We Feed Alone's latest single and music video, "What Burns Beneath," now available on all digital streaming platforms. Welcome to Buzz, We Feed Alone! We love the raw emotion and intimacy infused into your recent single, "What Burns Beneath." What inspired you to write such a personal song like this? Well, hello there, Buzz! Lyrically, this song tells a story of fated love. Two souls are eternally bound to find one another in the living world and the afterlife. Inspiration was personal and later developed through the historical study of the ancient Aztec legend of Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Musically, the parts came together in an interesting way. An initial drum groove lined up with a guitar melody that I wasn’t expecting to work together, and that shaped the direction of the track. What was your goal for the "What Burns Beneath" music video? How did you want viewers to feel after watching it? Much of the video was taken while we were recording the song, so we’re hoping that it gives the feeling that you are writing and recording the song with us. Additional video was added to fill it out, but most of it is studio footage. I even included footage of some of the analog gear I’ve built in action. What was your band's creative process behind the scenes of "What Burns Beneath?" Can you describe what that looked like? This song started with me (Eric Straton) playing a drum part for a Kanye West song called “Hold My Liquor.” A friend challenged me to try it since it isn’t something I’d normally do. I ended up trying a separate guitar part over the beat and loved it. From there, I collaborated with Doug Wagner. Doug wrote the lyrics and vocal melodies, and we finished it. How does "What Burns Beneath" stand out from the rest of your discography? What makes this track unique? Being a drummer before anything else, I did some additional acoustic treatment to my room where I record drums and couldn’t be happier with the evolution of my sound. The song's second half also has a unique acoustic guitar and bass melody that just seems like it fell into my lap. It might as well be another person playing it because I’m unsure where it originated. Doug had never written to a section like that, so it was a new experience for both of us. How did you want "What Burns Beneath" to impact your audience? What did you want them to take away from your lyrics? We hope people connect with it. The video hopefully pulls the listener into our creative space and gives them a sense of being there with us. Instagram Facebook
- Enrique Penn Realizes That Any Love Worth Having Takes A Little “Patience”
We all know that good things take time….. Drawing inspiration from the golden musical eras of the 60’s to the 90’s, artist Enrique Penn has always had a deep love for music. Motivated by the simple desire to make RnB that the world can enjoy, Penn’s passion for music underlines every single record he puts out. This talented artist seems destined for big things with a sound that’s been described as “Old-new” (due to Penn’s ability to balance stylistically older influences with the sounds of today). Although he knew he wanted to pursue a music career since he was in high school, Penn’s foray into the industry wouldn’t begin until the ripe age of 25. Since debuting, he’s wasted no time, putting his heart and soul into every release to make them stand out. Although his current sound is rooted in RnB, Penn notes that nothing is stopping him from changing this in the future. Above all else, he refuses to let himself stagnate, constantly experimenting and tweaking his sound to find the artistic sweet spot that works best for him. Penn’s latest release, “Patience,” is a good old-fashioned slow jam perfect for dancing late-night. Slow, rhythmic bass and a hypnotizing, slightly distorted keyboard sink you into Penn’s groovy soundscape as he croons this late-night hit. “Well, I bled my heart far too many times,” Penn sings, noting the prickly history of romance that’s led him to his current point. Penn isn’t about to let his past experiences ruin what he has now, though, and also he acknowledges this struggle with lines like “It’s hard to be patient” and lines like “You can take your sweet time,” showing this talented artist hasn’t given up on love yet. Armed with a natural sense for melodies and the artistic desire to see his visions through to fruition, the future will remain bright for Penn as long as he continues to follow his dream. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Enrique Penn’s new release, “Patience,” out now on all majour streaming platforms. Welcome to Buzz, Enrique Penn! We loved “Patience” so much that we had to ask: What inspired this release? Were you drawing from personal experience? Thank you so much for the compliment; the inspiration was just seeing the social world or thinking of past experiences of friends, always saying, “It was hard to be patient, trying to find love,” or being with someone and rushing the process. What’s been your favorite part of your music journey thus far? Being able to create music and experience the highs and lows of being an independent artist has been fun and stressful, but I love the challenge. My favorite part has been trying to better each song after the other because I always have to try to one-up myself on each song I do. What does your typical creative process look like for music, and what’s your favorite part of that creative process? Well, first, I like to listen to the beat I have or made, and sink into it and really feel it out. Then I usually come up with the hook/chorus first because one thing about me I love when others can sing along to make it more karaoke based. Once, I finish that part I work on the verse’s. Now, I usually freestyle everything just because it’s more built on natural feelings when I do that. So overall, freestyling is my favorite part because it feels natural, and more comes out from the heart and brain. What do you want listeners to feel when they hear your music? I want them to hear a story, personally or just from viewing the world. I want everyone in the world to be able to enjoy, understand, relate to, and share the expression I feel through my music, and they feel the same things. What’s next for Enrique Penn? Do you have anything you’d like to say to your fans? What’s next? I have an album, “A Different Perspective 2,” which will be a 3 part series. And my focus is mainly on that because it’s something I hold dearly to my heart. I want to start getting out and doing more shows when I find time. I’d like to tell my fans that I love you guys. Thank you for listening to my music and jamming it because I just want people to enjoy good music no matter the genre! Instagram
- Craymo Unpacks Latest Single, “My Intuition”
Welcome to Buzz, Craymo! We're bopping our heads to the fiery beat of your latest release, "My Intuition." What inspired you to create this emotion-packed electronic banger? Thank you so much! “My Intuition” is a re-recording of my song “Intuition,” which appeared on my first EP, Be My Girl, which was self-released way back in 1997. It was a song I have always loved, and it needed a modern update! When it comes to production, what did your creative process look like for “My Intuition?” I have been a nightclub DJ for many years and wanted to create something aurally exciting and booming for the dance floor! My Swedish Producer, David Sivano, sent me this groove, and I instantly fell in love with it! I have worked with David on my tracks “Take It Slow(Gotta Say Hey)” and “Give Me Your Love.” He creates brilliant grooves, and I love to sing over them! What sort of a vibe or feel did you want to infuse in this song? It has a vibe of the Black Eyed Peas meets Depeche Mode, and I instantly started singing my song Intuition over the track and got so excited and inspired! The Peas have infectious grooves, and I absolutely love Depeche Mode and Dave Gahan’s baritone vocals. I am trying to sing more in my lower range and feel more comfortable there! How does My Intuition stand out from your previous releases? Musically, I am heading in a more electronic dance direction. That synth sound on the chorus is massive and really grabs your attention! I want to create more club bangers! What makes the song different from the others? It really makes you really want to dance. The evolution of Craymo, LOL What message or concept do you want listeners to take away from My Intuition? We all have voices in our heads from time to time that guide us, inspire us, protect us, and keep us safe. I believe we all have some form of intuition, and we can all develop it with silence and meditation. Beauty, magic, and inspiration come to you in the silent moments. As an experienced artist like yourself, do you have any advice or words of wisdom for newer artists looking to not only survive but thrive in the music industry? Yes, I do! My advice for newer as well as “older” artists in this industry is be true to your vision, be true to who you are, the honesty will come through in your music. Don’t try to chase trends; it rarely ever works. Be the trendsetter yourself! Be original. Music is subjective, not everyone will like your music, your music will find its own audience! Don’t let the “no’s” and negative feedback you get weigh you down. Let those comments inspire you and build a fire in you. Surround yourself with positive people who lift you up. Network, Network, and Network! More opportunities come from meeting new people. Collaborate with other artists, songwriters, and producers. Find the inspiration in everything; it’s there.
