- Kacey Fifield Won’t Trust Herself With Love On Her Captivating Release, “Self Sabotage”
The LA-based songstress might be her own worst enemy regarding love. Hailing from the vibrant, musical City of Angels, Kacey Fifield burst onto the scene and immediately showed she could sing and make music with the best of them. The award-winning singer-songwriter has already made a resounding impact on the music scene, captivating audiences with her self-written and acclaimed debut album, "Between The Lines," released in 2022. Having already racked up an impressive six million+ streams on her original songs, the future looks bright for this rising star as she builds a buzz for herself. Fifield's debut album "Between The Lines" introduced Fifield's expansive musical world and indicated her incredible versatility. From the deep house rave-up "Toxic" to the resolute and anthemic "Like Us" and even her dreamy release "Palms," Fifield's shown us that she's not afraid to switch it up, keeping us on our toes. When you have the vocals and musical ability to do so, why wouldn't you? With new releases on the horizon, Fifield has also started performing live events, taking her skills and stage presence to a new level. As she emphatically blazes her trail in the scene, it seems like her star will continue to burn bright as ever. "Self Sabotage," Fifields latest release, is an alluring release that paradoxically mixes Fifield's tender and sometimes slightly ethereal vocals with melancholy lyrics. Over soft pop instrumentals that also channel a little electro, Fifields slowly rips us apart. Lyrics like "honestly I did you a favor / You think I'm a traitor / But you'll thank me later" tell the story of a love tragically cut prematurely, although maybe for the best. It makes sense, though; although Fifield's vocals make her sound heartbroken, lyrics like "but if I stayed then I'd abandon you / always had my ways, know how to hide the truth / I'd mess up your life and give you trust issues" indicate a complicated relationship with herself. It's a captivating story that drives us even deeper into Fifield's sound, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Since the release of her acclaimed debut album "Between The Lines," Kacey Fifield has continued to grow better and better. With a host of upcoming live performances (including a performance at the legendary Whiskey A Go-Go on August 5th), Fifield is showing no signs of slowing down, and we can't wait to see which direction she'll go in next. Whenever you're ready, tap in and stream Kacey Fifield's latest release, "Self Sabotage." Welcome to BuzzMusic, Kacey Fifield! We loved "Self Sabotage," the narrative and story you told through this release were captivating! What was the inspiration behind this release? The song is reflective and self-deprecating while maintaining an upbeat tone that makes it fun to dance to and scream the lyrics. Some lines are a bit sarcastic, but overall it touches on accountability and acknowledging that we all have made mistakes that sabotaged our relationships. The idea for the first verse came to me while walking to Office Depot with my best friend and talking about her ex. I set out to write a song from his POV, and as I was writing, I realized how relatable the human tendency to self-sabotage can be. Could you take us through the creative process for this release? Was it different from your usual releases or more the same? I wrote the first verse quickly and sat with it for a few months before continuing. Then, when I was looking back at old songs I had written long before, I remembered the chorus of a different song I ended up scrapping and realized I liked the line "Every time I fall in love, it rains in California." I decided to keep writing Self Sabotage using that line in the bridge! After that, I showed the idea to my collaborator Robbie Rosen, and we finished producing the song quickly. What's been your favorite part about being a musician so far? I love performing live! Live music is unique; connecting with people while singing to them is the most fantastic thing ever. What would you want it to be if your fans could take one thing away from your music? I want listeners to be able to use the song to reflect on relationships where they may have been the problem and the people who used to be in their lives that may have sabotaged their relationship. Most of all, my goal for all my songs is for everyone to have fun dancing and singing along! What's next for Kacey Fifield? You have a couple of upcoming shows. Is there anything you want to say to your fans? I'm always working on new music! More to come, and I can't wait to share my next project with everyone. I'm also performing live at the iconic Whisky A Go Go on August 5th at 9 pm! Tickets are available at kaceyfifield.com Instagram Facebook

- Heidi Hirvonen Tries To Navigate Through Life On Latest Release “This Messy Life (The Drug Song)"
The budding California artist aspires to make a change for the better with this enticing new release. In the heart of Palm Springs, California, musical phenom Heidi Hirvonen’s journey would begin. Shaped and set in motion by the shared passion for music possessed by her Finnish immigrant parents, Raimo and Tarja Hirvonen, the rich legacy of music imparted to her would create the foundation for Heidi’s enchanting journey into the world of melody and rhythm. Although Heidi’s past was undoubtedly highly influential to her artistic evolution, as she gears up for her debut, she’s been working harder than ever, her eyes fixed on the bright and limitless possibilities of the future. Hirvonen’s winding path to her musical debut is definitely less straightforward than one would expect. Although her early years were immersed in the magic of music, particularly during weekends spent with her father, Raimo, these memories were not always conducive to fostering musical passion. Her father’s struggle with addiction and bipolar disorder left her associating music with a sense of instability, creating a barrier between her and her true calling. Only in recent years, as Heidi and her father reunited and rekindled their relationship, she began to reclaim her musical journey. “This Messy Life (The Drug Song)” is a remarkable culmination of all of the forces that have brought Hirvonen to this point. The instrumentals, while pop inspired, still have a noteworthy feeling of introspection. Dropping lyrics like “When will I find a cleaner way to live this messy life / When will they find the drugs to make me truly feel alive all the time,” Hirvonen’s vocals are resolute as she navigates the pitfalls of life with her music. Overall, “This Messy Life (The Drug Song)” is an enchanting introduction to Hirvonen’s musical world, and we can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us. Heidi Hirvonen’s new release, “This Messy Life (The Drug Song),” is a captivating debut to capture hearts and imaginations everywhere. Though her musical journey has been winding and, at times, antagonistic, she’s triumphantly persevered, and “This Messy Life (The Drug Song)” represents the start of a new leaf for this talented artist. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Heidi Hirvonen’s latest release, “This Messy Life (The Drug Song),” available now on all major streaming platforms. Instagram
- Agent Smith Plays Everything From Vintage Rock’n’Roll to Modern Pop Hits
Music plays a large role in weddings. It sets the tone from the moment the blushing bride walks down the aisle to the joyous moments of celebration during the reception. The right song becomes a crucial memory in the newly married couple’s mind, and picking the proper arrangements can beckon guests to the dance floor or bring them to tears. With over 2 million weddings happening every year, certain talented musicians rise to the challenge of providing such an impactful musical experience to accompany such major events. One such foursome that has made a mark is Agent Smith, a charming band that has risen as one of the most in-demand in the North West of England. Getting their start in Manchester and steadily growing a base there, Agent Smith expertly navigates different musical genres, from vintage rock’n’roll to the pop hits that fill the radio airwaves today. Having been together for a whole decade, they’ve carefully perfected the ingredients to make the best setlist for different couples. Of course, seeing them tap into that magic as they hail from a city known for producing great musicians is no wonder. From Joy Division and The Smiths to Oasis and The Ting Tings, the rainy city comes to life with bright songs emerging from wet streets. The Magic of Agent Smith Agent Smith feels larger than life but takes pride in being a simple 4-piece. You have your charming vocalist playing backing guitar, the lively lead guitarist, an effervescent bassist, and one of the most diversely skilled drummers in such a setting. Of course, they also bring keys, sax, and extra guitars for weddings that need that additional impact. With this sort of set-up, it’s no wonder they’ve become one of the most in-demand party bands for hire across Manchester and North West. Rock and pop are the secret ingredients to their particular sound, but they have always surprised more particular guests when they suddenly whip out some punk, indie, R&B, and Merseybeat classics. The band has also made its fair share of rounds at live festivals and huge gigs like the Manchester Apollo. Still, they have always found themselves firmly planted in the “I do’s” realm because of the special something that an artist can only glean from this specific occasion. There’s simply something about being able to provide the soundtrack to a lifelong promise. As the band said in their content, it’s about “guarantee[ing] a night to remember.” It rings true in all the pictures you can almost hear and the glowing stories from couples across the years that still look back to their wedding night and Agent Smith’s role in it. Much like the character the band name references, their skill and passion are self-replicating. You can’t help but be injected with the joy and buzzing excitement from their performance. Turning Any Genre Into Energy Winsford financial planning case manager and mom Leanne Merriman has openly remarked on her wedding that had Agent Smith grace the stage. “Nearly seven years ago now, but I still remember this night like yesterday,” she shared. “[Agent Smith] made it for us… The proof was in the pudding as the dance floor was packed all night.” How does a band make or break a night as remarkable as that? With Agent Smith, it all comes down to details and finding ways to connect all ages through music. They exude positive energy and have a way of immersing the crowd without making people feel uncomfortable. Their positivity and uniqueness cannot be denied when you hear how they masterfully execute different genres while feeling themselves distinctly. Upbeat rock is infused with guitar-driven vocals without feeling too gritty or out of place in their rendition of Lady Gaga's Poker Face. Drums are played with vigor and precision, only accentuated by the driving rhythm of the bass and harmonized vocals. On the other end of the spectrum, you get hit with the band’s funk medley. It hits a groove that you can’t help but dance to, with smooth transitions that never feel jarring even as they go from Superstition to Play That Funky Music. The whole blend is carefully laid out as they hit familiar rhythms melded together in an engaging new way. The Art of Wedding Parties Agent Smith takes bookings from their page or the popular band hiring hub Function Central today. This platform lets you choose based on the genre you prefer, which highlights the band's flexibility even more. They'll pop up one way or another when looking for the best troupe to perform at your wedding. One of the most common wedding problems is having guests distracted and getting unruly. Ironically, this mostly happens when there isn't an engaging enough reason to get up and dance all night. Sometimes, people need the nudge of a great song and a couple of drinks. Agent Smith has been taking those woes away from the bride and groom for a decade now and plans to do so for the years to come. It's fascinating to see this specific industry where musicians like Agent Smith get to stretch their musical talent and play everything from hard rock to gentle indie to build an experience. Ensuring that memories are unforgettable seems to be an art often overlooked, which is what Buzz Music creates space for in the first place.
- Queens Producer Eitan Noyze Showcases The Versatility Of Horns (And His Genius) On 'Hornography'
Welcome to BuzzMusic Eitan Noyze! Your new album 'Hornography is beaming with creativity and amazing vibes. Can you tell us a bit about its unique concept and what inspired you to make it? 'Hornography' is an instrumental album that samples horns from many different genres and styles of music, and I wanted to showcase how versatile the different horn instruments can be put together over a hip-hop backbone. The project was created solely using the iconic Akai MPC 3000, giving this album a modern yet nostalgic sound. I was inspired by the NYC party called "Soul in the Horn," which I would frequent before the pandemic, where DJs and musicians would come together and perform brass-driven music from different genres. From start to finish how long did it take to put together? What are some of your favorite samples used? The idea started in 2021 when I was just compiling some unreleased beats and noticed a good portion of them had horns. The concept got pushed to the side due to other work deadlines. At the end of 2022, I finally focused my attention and created new material as well as spruced up old beats, and finally put together "Hornography." I don't want to sample snitch, but to me, all of the songs are dope in their own unique way. If I had to choose, the most notable track would be "Whisper," because I took a smooth recognizable saxophone riff and blended it with hard-hitting boombap drums, and flipped it in an unprecedented manner that hasn't been heard before. How would you say your sound and outlook on your art changed/evolved over the years? I would say over the majority of my career, I focused more on producing for other artists, which I still will be doing heavily, but now I am definitely giving myself attention as an artist and will be releasing more music on my own. How do you keep your sound so fresh? Good question, and very flattering, but not sure how to answer that. As a go-to engineer for superstars like Large Professor and Kid Capri at your recording studio Brooklyn Noyze Lab, are there some go-to recording techniques that you tend to use in the lab or is that top secret info? Top secret! If I told you, then I would have to kill you! Nah just playin, if there is anything I can say is just to trust your ears. Ears never lie. Also, be open-minded, and listen to feedback (sometimes with a grain of salt). Okay, so this is a big question, but what has hip-hop culture meant to you in your life’s journey? How has it shaped you as a person and an artist? Hip-Hop culture gave me an outlet to express myself creatively. I can say that I grew up with Hip-Hop hop culture since being exposed to it at a young age, and it has shaped me into the person and artist I am today. I often don't realize it, but I do approach things with a hip-hop mindset (style, vocabulary, and of course, music). It's definitely a lifestyle for me that I live every day, and when digging back on where a lot of early hip-hop source material came from, it opened me up to appreciate many other genres of music as well. We’re really looking forward to seeing what you do next! What should your fans be looking out for in the coming months? Dropping on July 28th, I produced the lead single 'Verbal Assault' off legendary DJ Mista Sinista's (X-Ecutioners) debut solo album "Reborn." The track features legends ILL Bill (Non-Phixion), Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mindtricks), and DJ Eclipse (Non-Phixion, MC Serch, Fat Beats). Did another joint on Sinista's album, but no date is set for his album release. I plan to release more instrumental music as well as a collaboration album with MCs. I have more music coming out with Something D'Lux, which is a production company I started with my childhood friend Zach Staggers (The So So Glos), where our focus is mainly on producing Dancehall music. - Aaron Wylder Reminds Us Of Simpler Times Past On His New Release “Horseplay”
The Caribbean-born, Victoria-based musician endearingly remembers precious time spent with his brothers. Born and raised in the Caribbean but now based out of Victoria, BC, indie folk songwriter Aaron Wylder has always made it his mission to make music that is ultimately meaningful. He’s set himself apart from his peers with versatility and his willingness to explore different moods, themes, and styles while infusing them with a memorable jingle that makes his sound uniquely his. With his latest 4 track EP “The King of My Own Heart,” Wylder does just that, tackling themes of mental health, companionship, dreams, and cherished memories of roughhousing with his brothers with an energy and groove that is ultimately infectious. Listening to how far he’s come now, it’s easy to forget that Wylder’s musical journey was winding. Having grown up in the Cayman Islands, Wylder experienced a genuine Caribbean lifestyle filled with early morning fishing, adventures in the mangroves, and carefree days of playing soccer without needing shoes. However, amidst the simplicity and exotic pleasures, he also felt isolated living in a small town on a small island. This isolation would fuel his passion for music, and when his family eventually relocated to Victoria, British Columbia, the spark inside Wylder would start burning brighter and brighter. Wylder’s standout release “Horseplay,” the third track of his equally standout EP “King of My Own Heart,” is an endearing recollection of simpler times spent horsing around with his brothers. Over instrumentals that are a unique blend of indie folk infused with modern folk sensibilities and a hint of acoustic pop, Wylder takes us on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Lyrics like “Oh we’re just bored, we wanna horseplay” and “Can we go outside” are followed up with exultant and carefree “Woohoos,” evoking the exhilaration we all felt when we were younger. With “Horseplay,” Wylder invites us to forget our worries and remember the joy we felt from simple pleasures, a lesson we can carry with us today. Aaron Wylder’s “Horseplay” is an exhilarating journey to his childhood that captures the essence of his adventurous spirit and the bond he shares with his brothers. His endearing and uplifting performance will make this release one for the books. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Aaron Wylder’s “Horseplay,” available now on all streaming platforms, and check out his new EP “King of My Own Heart,” also available now. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Aaron Wylder! We loved "Horseplay," what a beautiful premise for a release! How did you first come up with the idea for this release? Could you take us through your creative process for it? Thank you for the kind words. Horseplay is about my brothers and I. The three of us were a serious handful, so I knew the song had to be fast and fun. This song started as a fun jam I would play at shows. Now it's up there as one of the better songs I think I've written. It definitely stands out as one of my favorites from this EP, The King Of My Own Heart. What does music mean to you, and what's been your favorite part about being able to release your own music? Most musicians will tell you the same thing. For songwriters, it's an essential part of our identities as humans. Music is exactly this to me. I think I get a great deal of satisfaction out of writing and releasing music. The whole process drives me; it is so fulfilling. Your EP "King of My Own Heart" dropped recently, right? What was your favorite part about bringing the vision for that EP to life, and other than "Horseplay," which release were you especially excited to share with listeners? I'm really proud of all four of the tracks. They have all their rhymes and reasons for being written. I think lyrically, the songs are very direct, so the messages are also more clear than my previous songs. I think just playing these songs live has been the best part about bringing them to life. If your listeners could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be? Live your life to the fullest and pursue what makes you happy. What's next for Aaron Wylder? Can we expect more new music soon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans? I am always writing and working on new things. I think you can expect to hear a new song in the next six months for sure. Follow me on Instagram to keep up to date with shows and other fun stuff! @aaron_wylder Instagram
- Lava Dreams Faces The Darkness Within In, “R.I.P The Old Me”
How can we not be hooked immediately by a name like Lava Dreams? This Kansas City-based queer artist has a fresh electric single that will elevate her career to the upper ranks of the alternative-rock scene. Saying hello to her new self, “R.I.P. The Old Me” will be released on all major streaming platforms on Friday, July 28th. Lava Dreams (she/they) began writing songs as a young child and became a self-taught musician after learning her first guitar chords from her father. Lava soaked in the experiences of being in numerous rock bands in elementary school leading into her teens and early twenties before deciding to break away from the pack as a solo artist in 2017 when the moniker “Lava Dreams” was established. After her latest Ep, “GOOD ENERGY + FOCUS,” received positive critical acclaim, it became one of the best projects in 2020. Following this release, her upward projection was no stopping as she steams ahead, carving a path for herself while leaving a wake of alternative pop bangers along the way. The name Lava Dreams perfectly describes the crisp, smoking-hot guitar riffs surrounded by dreamy, ethereal vocals encapsulating her sound as it evolves. A brief docu-series on Instagram stemming from a youtube vlog has been following the creation of the new record since its inception, bringing her audience deep into the personal creation process of the record. The idea stemmed from a bat flying around her bedroom, circling her bed one night. We all have to face the “ugly, little scary things… you have to process it, and you have to deal with it to transform and heal”. She travels deep into herself as much-needed self-reflection grounds herself into the new person this young fan is becoming. Time couldn’t go by any slower as we wait for July 28th in anticipation of this new single, “R.I.P The Old Me,” waiting to be entranced by her mystical production style that will send you on a journey to the misty mountaintop. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Lava Dreams, and congratulations on your latest release, "R.I.P. The Old Me." It's been a blast watching your growth since you first appeared here. At what point in time did the bat fly into your bedroom? Was it a crucial transitionary time for you when the event occurred, inspiring the electric record "R.I.P The Old Me?" One night during the summer of 2020, I woke up around 3 AM because my cat was acting strange, running around the room and pawing at the air. I saw a bat circling above my bed in the dark. After an utterly sleepless night, I took the experience as a symbol of the turning point I was at. Bats are often seen as a sign of death and transformation- that resonated with me deeply, and I knew it would be a significant icon for me- an outer image of my inner world. I was at a point where I had been doing a lot of shadow work - looking at the ugly, dark, and traumatic events that had taken place early in my life and were still affecting me as an adult. Things that terrified me. Something that stopped me from looking in the mirror and facing myself. I chose to do that inner work because I knew that suppressing it was holding me back from my potential. The old me allowed my fears to keep me stuck. That version of me is dead. I've mourned her, and I can never go back to her. She helped me survive and transform, but I no longer need her for this new stage of life. I'm choosing every day now to embrace the new me - an artist who doesn't shy away from brutal truths... who is embracing their potential to the fullest. We thoroughly enjoyed the docu-series released throughout the creation of "R.I.P. The Old Me." It took us deep into the fun yet deep creative process that brought about the song. Why do you find it essential for listeners to see this process? People love to see the process behind the product. I know because that's how I feel about the artists I'm a fan of. It is satisfying to know what inspires the art you love and get an inside look at how it was birthed. I wanted to give that gift to my listeners. I wanted to connect on a deeper level and show them what I create and how I create it authentically and vulnerably. Your sound seems to have elevated on "R.I.P. The Old Me." Has working with the record producer pivotally influenced your sound, or was it more of a personal growth? There's been a lot of personal growth in my craft, as is perpetually the case. Spencer Hoad produced the vocals and levelled up that piece for me as well. But R.I.P. is the first track I'm releasing on which I produced the instrumental myself, and I'm gaining more confidence as a music producer lately, among other things. I'm always working to grow and improve with everything I do, whether singing, writing songs, playing instruments, performing, or directing and editing visual content. Would you say "R.I.P. The Old Me" is Lava Dreams finding her new self? Undoubtedly. There are many indicators of this newfound confidence in "R.I.P. THE OLD ME." Rather than trying to stick to a certain sound because that's what my listeners are used to at this point, I decided to treat this song sonically as an independent project - giving the song what it needed to bloom into its highest potential without limiting it to the sounds I've stuck to in the past. Leaning into music production with this track made me realize I have the capacity to actualize my ideas musically fully, and I can rely on myself more than I previously thought possible. Other than that, there's the subject matter of the song itself. I used this project to cathartically release some of the tension and emotions I've suppressed for most of my life. I even smashed some things for visuals. And it felt good. What does Lava Dreams have in store for the rest of the year that we can look forward to? I'll be performing more, working on more new music, more visuals, and continuing to document every step along the way. Instagram Facebook
- Jamie Hannah Wants You to Let Go And Embrace Love In His New Release, “Surrender To You”
The London-based musician remains a hopeless romantic on his melodic new release. In a world brought to a standstill by the unprecedented events of Covid-19, one artist emerged from the chaos, captivating listeners with his unwavering determination and creativity. Pop sensation Jamie Hannah seized the moment, making the most of the lockdown and utilizing the time inside on poignant reflection, which would influence his future releases. Returning to his roots, Hannah embraced his signature haunting ballad style, showcasing his piercing vocals and weaving a poignant story that captivates listeners. The result? Soul-stirring masterpieces that touch the deepest recesses of the heart. Although it might be easy to take Jamie Hannah’s recent impressive releases for granted, his current brilliance results from continuously striving to improve himself as an artist and a person. One of his recent releases, “Flowers,” “was written during lockdown when I had the time and space to examine my feelings towards the universal quest to find love.” This cathartic creation allowed him to delve deep into his psyche, reflecting on past romances and the enigmatic nature of falling in love. Taking those experiences and his reflection to heart, Hannah’s music is often infused with emotional honesty and intimacy, making it feel like he touches your soul. Jamie Hannah’s talent has not gone unnoticed, with renowned publications and industry giants like Time Magazine and Billboard Magazine acknowledging his talent ad artistic ability. For his new release, “Surrender To You,” gentle instrumentals lead by an elegant piano swell and burst with positive energy to kick off the proceedings. Even with a robust instrumental performance, Hannah’s vocals impressively remain the standout focus of the song, as he drops lines like “Disco ball moonlight, all over my skin / Liquid ecstasy to show me where to begin” and “I wanna be ready, ready for your surrender (x3)”. With “Surrender To You,” Hannah continues his streak of instantly appealing releases that hit you straight in your feels. Prepare to be enthralled by Jamie Hannah’s velvet vocals on his new release “Surrender to You.” Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream “Surrender to You,” available now on all major streaming platforms. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Jamie Hannah! We loved “Surrender To You” and the direction you’ve taken your music in! We had to ask, could you take us through the creative process for this release? I wrote the song in early 2023 while I was in LA. Like many, I experienced difficulties growing up in rural England with no queer role models. I wanted to highlight queer as usual. I also wanted to write something away from my typical happy, joyous, up-tempo ballads. “Surrender to You” reflects the normal dating process – dating, having fun, making mistakes, and smiling. Writing the words and music came quickly – as always, I like to do all the background harmonies. What inspired you to get into music in the first place, and what inspires you to keep making music today? I’ve been singing since I was about two years old. Through school, college, and university, music was my first love – particularly singing – school choirs, the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, and gigging around London while at the Royal College of Music, where I gained my degree in music. I also learned to play several musical instruments and the basics of performing. I loved some of the stuff I was involved in, like being a backing singer to Kylie Minogue at several of her London Christmas concerts at the Royal Albert Hall or touring China performing classical music in large opera venues. I keep making music because I love it. I cannot think of doing anything else than being in the music business. What is your favorite part about being able to make music and share it with your fans? Live performance is amazing as you can connect with the people in the audience. However, there are so many opportunities on social media/podcasts/radio, etc., that I am always stunned when people contact me worldwide to talk about how much they like my music. What would you want it to be if your fans could take one thing away from your music? Music is such an international language. It can speak to you in a number of ways – from goosebumps on your skin to emotions like sadness to happiness. Most of all, I want my audience to feel my music like I do. I want them to feel joy. I want it to continue to speak to them directly as individuals and make them happy being who they are. Happy in their skin regardless of the situation, country, language barriers, sexuality, color, religion, size, shape, ability, etc. There are too many things to make us depressed – let the music find joy within us. What’s next for Jamie Hannah? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans? I have written many songs over the last six months, and I will be releasing these in the near future. To my fans, keep listening. The best is coming. I am so excited about the new music; they come from my heart. Instagram Facebook
- Lizzie Hosking Talks About Her Latest Release, "Energy"
Adelaide’s own rising star. Lizzie Hosking has emerged as a tremendous talent in the music scene, captivating audiences with her catchy melodies and enchanting storytelling. Growing up in the North of Adelaide, Lizzie’s passion for music blossomed as she sang covers and fearlessly took every opportunity to perform, honing her skills as an artist and performer. Having started off 2023 strongly with her acclaimed release “Stress You Out,” she’s following up her amazing start to the year with another enticing release, “Energy.” Welcome to BuzzMusic, Lizzie Hosking! We loved “Stress You Out”; between that and “Energy,” you’ve been killing it this year! We wanted to ask you, what inspired “Energy”? Was the inspiration something that came from your personal experience? Thank you so much! Energy was written about the electric and magnetic feeling you get toward a complete stranger. Whether that be on a night out with friends, dancing in a club, or the only person your age on an airplane. Feeling a connection with a stranger is something we can all relate to, and Energy captures that feeling. What kind of music did you see yourself making when you first started out? Is the music you put out now different or pretty much what you first envisioned yourself making? When I first started writing and releasing music, I didn't have a complete vision or idea of where I wanted to go. Over the years, my writing style has developed to suit my own listening style in music. I think I am almost at a place where the music I am putting out is authentically me. What part of the creative process for your music is your favorite? Also, what does music mean to you? I would describe my music as hard-hitting, soul-searching, truth-telling pop songs. My music is high-energy and will get stuck in your head! How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard it before? I would describe my music as hard-hitting, soul-searching, truth-telling pop songs. My music is high-energy and will get stuck in your head! What’s next for Lizzie Hosking? To record my newest single and will soon be recording a Christmas EP to be released towards the end of the Year. I am also playing a few gigs in the coming months, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
