Listen to “Ride” here and read more with the artist Zaya. below! Hey Zaya.! Welcome to BuzzMusic! How did you originally get started making music? I grew up writing poetry since forever ago. Just the other day my mom sent me a poem I made for her when I was 4 years old. Then in high school, I was in the choir and jazz group. During lunch, I was always in the music room practicing piano and writing songs. When I graduated my choir teacher gave me the piano and ever since then I never stopped writing music. We’re loving your new release “Ride”! Can you dive into some of the lyrics and the meaning of the song? "Ride" is one of those fun, sexy, playful songs for those chill vibes on a Friday night. The lyrics are talking about the excitement of having a secret lover that's kept on the down-low. Not wanting a relationship but the attraction's too hypnotizing and strong to deny. How have you honed your vocal style over time, and did it take a while to find your vibe, or did it come naturally? After years of writing music and taking vocal lessons, I'm finally finding my sound and the artist I want to become. It's definitely a journey finding yourself as an artist. I just create as much material as possible and learn things I like and don't like and when it comes to vocals the more you do it the more you know how to use them and create unique sounds that work best for you. I'm constantly evolving and growing that's the excitement of music! What are the main values you want to bring to the music world? The main values I want to bring to the music world would be sincerity and originality. As cliche as this sounds you really are the best you and there's nothing fun or interesting about a cookie-cutter artist. Having your own unique brand and sound is cool. What’s next for you through the end of 2019? I have a lot of goals for the end of the year but my main priority is to release more material I'm currently working on. Super excited to show you guys! Stay up to date on the latest from Zaya. through her Instagram! #BuzzMusic

  • Amir Jackson Drops Explosive Debut EP “432”

Born and raised in California, Amir Jackson is an up and coming artist setting himself apart in the rap game in a big way. Based in Houston, Texas, Amir blends his authentic grit with witty bars and performance. Amir Jackson’s debut EP “432” is out now and available on all major streaming platforms. A self-proclaimed fusion of J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Scarface, Amir Jackson has an individual sound that cannot be beat. Don't sleep on this rising star. Featured on Amir Jackson’s EP “432” is “Nada”, a hypnotizing new track. His authentic sound is a refreshing new addition to the hip-hop scene. “Nada” features compelling lyrics, original and intriguing all the way through. A slightly more classic rap style emerges, a little higher of an energy level, a quicker pace and a series of more accessible moments. The verses add personality, whereas the hook adds definite depth and individuality on a whole other level. The balance and dynamic works brilliantly in building something refreshing and unlike anything else around in hip-hop at present. “Nada” becomes quite addictive in nature, you thrash the replay button just to capture those bars once more, to lose yourself in the fullness and darkness of the sound, and to try to finally get a stronger grasp of the concept in general. We love this new track and can’t wait to see what Amir Jackson brings to the table next. Check out “Nada” here and read more with Amir in our exclusive interview below! Welcome to BuzzMusic! What inspired you to start recording your music? Growing up I used to watch my uncle draw a lot. Naturally, I picked up a pencil and tried to emulate what I saw, which eventually grew into comic book strips and storytelling. Over the years i got better with words and decided to use my voice as an expression of feelings. What can you tell us about your song “Nada”? What was the writing process like? Nada was the birth song behind the "432" project. I wanted to work with Midi Monstaz who produced the track for a long time and I kept bugging him about linking up. He finally sent me a track and maybe like 20 minutes later I had the whole song wrote and pre-recorded. I write fast, especially when it's a vibe I'm feeling as soon as I hear the beat. What do you feel is the most hard-hitting lyric within “Nada”? "Flyer than a stogie with Fedoras on my Al Capone". Bars shorty, bars! Lol. If you could work with anyone at all, past or present, who would you choose and why? Biggie, Big Pun and Big L. The way they all deliver the flows and story tell with so much ease is incredible. Unmatched in my opinion. Def would want to work with Wayne and Drake. Jay a too. Kanye. K Dot. Shit everybody. Let's work! Is live performance an important part of your plans? If so, what can audiences expect from a live show? Most definitely! When you come to my show just be ready to have a good time. Hear some good music and turn up. It's a party, you came out to have a good time and that's what we gone do. • ɌƁŁ Makes Powerful Debut With His Captivating Truth In “For You”

Joseph Cave, better known for his professional name of ɌƁŁ is a talented singer/songwriter, rapper, and gifted lyricist. Born in Minnesota, Joseph uses his music as a way to cope with mental illness due to a less than ideal childhood. At only 7 years old, Joseph and his siblings were taken from their parents due to an abusive situation and put into foster, it wasn’t until a few months later that many other disturbing details came to light and he was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. When he was 15, ɌƁŁ began writing to deal with his past traumas and hardships. Now making his debut with a new hip-hop R&B crossover hit, ɌƁŁ released “For You” and we’re loving it here at BuzzMusic. Joseph recites every verse and chorus with meaningful intent and power. The raw energy and soul comes through the speakers, ɌƁŁ’s emotive lyrics make his passion come alive. “For You” really hits home and demands to be heard. ɌƁŁ has the voice to make a difference through his powerful ballad hook and hard-hitting verses. I recommend you check out this track and stay on the lookout for ɌƁŁ and his rise to the top. Let’s see more of this hip-hop on the charts. Check out “For You” here and scroll down for our exclusive interview with ɌƁŁ! Hi ɌƁŁ! Can you start by telling our readers more about yourself and how you got started making music? Sure. I started making music when I was around 14 years old, or at least writing and hooking up tracks to an old karaoke. I have been through a lot in my life, abuse, foster care, ect, and writing was something I started to do when I hit rock bottom. I started creating music and even though people didn’t like it at first, I kept writing as a way to express myself in the only way I knew how. “For You” is a powerful track! What is your favorite lyric? Why? My favorite lyrics are “But I’m sick of it, and heart can’t get it enough of it // Like, it’s and addictive pill that I’m popping every morning // And by the end of the night I’m mourning”. This lyric is really meaningful to me personally because it accurately describes how I feel when I’m searching for love and admiration and I don’t receive it. It shows this inner battle that others and myself struggle with, and if the listeners get goosebumps when they listen to my music, than everything was worth it. What do you hope listeners take away from hearing “For You”? I believe that music is more than just an art. It is the expression of life and ones experiences. I want the listeners to take it as they will, to impact each one separately depending on their own experiences. Most of all, I want people to feel my music. I want people to experience a little bit of my pain, my heartache, but also my story and my triumphs. What do you think sets you apart from other artists? I am genuine, I work hard and I grind to perfect my craft. I could care less what others say about my music. Sure, its awesome when people tell me it’s good. Sure, it’s annoying when people go out of their way to say its trash. At the end of the day however, it’s up to me to decide who I want to be and what music I want to create. If the people vibe with it, awesome. If they don’t that’s fine. However, if people go out of their way to hate on my art, then fuck them, plain and simple. You’re not a friend of me. What’s next for you through the end of 2019? I’ve been grinding at my job and at college. I hope to put out another single at the end of the school year though. I also am planning on going down to meet with an executive from Atlantic Records in Chicago next month to do a live performance and build some reputation. #BuzzMusic

  • Exclusive Interview: Phayze Won!

Welcome to BuzzMusic! Your tracks have many layers and different concepts. What’s the overall theme you try to achieve with your music? I’m trying to spread a positive message and awareness to those who have been through the same struggles that I’ve been through and to let them know they’re not alone. I like to be the voice for others. What do you hope your listeners take away from your tracks? I want them to enjoy my music and the Good Vibes and know that there’s a positive message behind it.... at the end of the day there are others out there that have experienced hardships and there’s hope. If you had to pick just one song in your collection to adequately describe your sound, which song would you choose and why? It’s hard to narrow it down just to one song Because I’m a versatile artist and my sounds depend on my mood when writing to be honest. Can you dive into details about the lyricism in “Pills” and “Dear Hip Hop"? What inspired both of these songs? Pills with based on my life experiences growing up and the struggles with prescription drugs as many experience in life trying to numb the pain of their reality. And Dear Hip Hop was basically a song to pay homage to those who influenced and inspired me throughout my life and career. What song in your repertoire would say caused you the most challenges? How were you able to overcome those challenges? Memories was probably the most difficult song that I wrote and recorded because I’d recently just lost both my parents and it was raw emotion to talk about but to be honest with you the whole experience of releasing those emotions and expressing them was very therapeutic for me and that’s what got me through. What do you hope to achieve as a hip-hop artist through the end of 2019? To be recognized as a talented diverse artist not only from my city but all over the world. For people to hear my music and my messages through it. Lastly for my new EP Elixir and Elixir vol.2 dropping at the beginning of October 2019 to be downloaded and streamed by all. Check out Phayze Won's new music here and keep up with the artist through Facebook!

  • Gallivants "Land Shark" Is Just As Cool As The Name Suggests

The definition of Gallivant is to go around from place to place in pursuit of happiness or pleasure. For the band Gallivant, the meaning holds true in a musical sense. The Celestials release is a set of songs that when listened to in full, seems to almost feel like you've gone on an adventure in rock. Their single "Landshark" is an excellent showing of the band's ability to make you groove. Driven by bass and percussion, the track becomes something you feel like you may have heard on a major rock radio station. • Utah-Based Dark Post Punk Artist Glume Releases “Human Touch”

“Human Touch” is a song by Glume that focuses on our need for human connection and the turmoil that comes with it. Our fear of being hurt for the first time or even for a repeated time is too overwhelming and we’re stuck with an aching longing for connection. The darkened soundscapes are coupled with an upbeat synth-wave on the outer edges. As Glume meanders through the music, you’re able to hone in on the lyrics and discover that the words match the exact sentiment captured by the music. “Human Touch” keeps things concise yet relevant, the sections each work well to offer dynamic and to hold the audience’s attention, and still that smooth overall vibe maintains a level of calm that’s a pleasure to be surrounded by. Glume is a project from talented solo artist Tyler Tovey. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Glume personifies the grunge of post-punk and fuses it flawlessly with coldwave, while keeping the melancholia of darkwave alive. He blends an ambient soundscape over the heavy subject matter of an individual dealing with emotional turmoil and tortured feelings to the core. Check out “Human Touch” here and catch up with Glume below in our interview! "Vacant Eyes Can't Dream" has many layers and different concepts. What’s the overall theme you were trying to achieve with this record? This record is a very personal album that I wrote last winter while I was feeling very alone and isolated in my life.I just channeled everything that I was feeling about different aspects of my life, lost love, isolation, and the fascination of how fragile life is.So I guess the theme I was going for was dark isolation with a underlying fascination with death. What do you hope your fans take away from your music? I hope that my fans take away everything I put into it, my fans seem to be on a similar level as I am. The feeling of isolation and feeling like an outsider, I have felt that way my whole life and I consider it a great thing honestly, my fans and friends seem to be the same way. I hope to be an outlet and an escape for my fans. What does the track “Human Touch” represent for you? Can you dive into the lyrics and tell us the meaning behind it? That song is a very personal track that I wrote about my past relationship.Long story short I was in a long and meaningful relationship, we were in love and very happy for years and then suddenly everything changed. My heart got very broken I felt very alone and lost because of it, I lost a best friend and she did as well. It hardened me and left me feeling like I could never get close to another human being again. In the song I say "The love of someone the human touch, the quivering emotion, the goosebumps. Human love, human touch, I can't get close and I can't move on." That is basically the reflection of how at the beginning of a relationship it is new and exciting, you can only see the good and never even seem to see how it may end. Then life takes its course, people change, life changes and relationships don't work out. Which track from “Vacant Eyes Can't Dream” would you say in the most personal to you? Why? "Vacant Eyes Can't Dream", that song IS the theme of the album. The tones I chose on that track, the repeating reverb drums that build as the dark synth lines fade in, and especially the lyrics. That songs is 100% dark and isolated. A reflection of feeling lost and hopeless, and a reflection on how things change people. What do you hope to achieve as an artist going forward? What’s next for you? I hope to continue to achieve what I already have, true loyal fans that connect with my music and find it as a outlet for whatever they may be going through. I write my music for me, and me only. Music is my whole life and I will continue to make music until the day I die, whether I have fans for play it for or not. Next for me is a new music video for the track "The Body" that is due to be out on Halloween this year, as well as continue to write new music for the next year, and play shows with my favorite bands. • Saffron Hearts Make Captivating Debut With “Right Here”

Saffron Hearts is a talented band that was originally formed when musician and filmmaker Paul McLay and singer Lina Mitsuki were trying to spread a little harmony. Later, when the duo decided that they are ready to start a band, they invited Dan Jamkinsun (bass), Peter Keleptrishvili (keyboards), Michelle Lagman (guitar), Evelina Atmika (flute, bansuri), and Sergey Kalachev (percussion, cora) to join them. Their style is a smooth blend of reggae/fusion and we can’t get enough. Saffron Hearts’ fusion of genres on their latest single “Right Here” works beautifully, the vibe is that of the start of the night! The kick-off to the weekend, the self-empowering boost you need to get up and get things done. The beat to this track has a smooth reggae feel, the instrumentation loops in a hypnotic fashion, cool and calm. On top of this, there’s a serenity to the vocal delivery and the rhythm of the melody. Everything from the writing to the performance to the production on this single lights a fire in the room as it plays out. Lina has a stunning voice, softly powerful, loaded with personality, and the lyrics throughout this are refreshing and honest and soaked in love and harmony. “Right Here” is incredibly clever, catchy, stylish, and refreshingly unique. I highly recommend you listen to “Right Here” and read more with Saffron Hearts below! Welcome to BuzzMusic! Congrats on the release of your new single “Right Here”! What does this song represent for you? Paul: Thanks a lot! ‘Right here’ is some kind of Manifesto to the Awareness. Meditation is very important in our everyday life and awareness is the essence of meditation, that’s why I think it’s important to remind all of us about being here and now at every convenient moment. Through music, cinema, books, etc. Lina: Right here - is a light and playful song about being right here and right now. It's a little reminder that no matter what is going on in your life - it's cool, and that's how it's supposed to be, don't worry, just accept it as it is. Where is the best setting to listen to “Right Here”, and what do you hope people take away from it? Paul: Music is one of the most powerful tools that we can use to change our mood. In filmmaking industry music is always used in two different ways: to support the action (make a sad scene even sadder) and as a counterpoint (when you see something really awful but music is so easygoing that you understand that the scene cannot happen in reality). So, as for me, we put some sunny tunes inside this track that can help listeners to feel that good vibes no matter rain or shine, megapolis or country house. Lina: For example, I love listening to "Right Here" in a train, subway or just walking on the street, in my headphones, when it's crowded and many people are in a rush - it balances the mind immediately and gives you the good vibe, the right vibe. Your mood is set on the right tune. Today, In the morning we listened to it with friends while drinking tea and telling stories about how each one of us met their "half". What’s your creative process like as a group? Paul: It’s unbelievably comfortable and easy for us to write songs together! It feels like we were meant to meet each other and every member of our band takes part in the production process sharing ideas and creating something that contains a piece of each of us. We love to jam together even during gigs. That’s a great opportunity to share the atmosphere that we create with our audience. Lina: It’s a blessing how much we feel each other. One vibe. Similar backgrounds. Similar interests. It all started when Paul and I tried to jam a little bit together, just playing around, we realized that some cool ideas were born through the musical form. And we decided to focus on that, to create and fix what came through us. Sometimes the mood sets some situation, problem or feelings/emotions, everything that surrounds us, that happens every day outside is the reflection of the inside world and visa Versa. Often Paul comes up with some music ideas, playing the guitar and I sing the melody, separate pieces of songs come with lyrics, sometimes the whole song appears in the moment. Then we collect all together, organising the structure of the song, adding or cutting lyrics. Sometimes Dan - the bass player or Misha the guitar player comes up with some reefs and we invent a new story right away - it looks more like a jam, we are in the rehearsal room, just feeling open and creative and some flow comes through us, it's kinda like Channeling... At the moment when magic is happening, we are simply open and ready to accept, like small portable devices that deliver this electrical current, tiny lightning strike and then we relay what we've delivered through songs. I love this feeling, it feels like love - Creating something. What’s your favourite lyric that you feel has the most impact in “Right Here”? Why? Paul: ‘Every day is like a waterfall’. I love this metaphoric expression about time, cause time is unstoppable, it’s always running and you can’t stop it. Lina: The vibe is important, not some particular line or phrase it's a combination of funny happy mood, being light, feeling happy and open and ready to let go something that makes you stuck. Do you have any upcoming events or shows you’d like to talk about? What’s next for you through the end of 2019? Paul: We are planning a European tour next summer and will also shoot a movie about it, cause we are not only musicians but also filmmakers. By the way, our first music video will be out next month! So, don’t miss it! Lina: We are a brand new band, our intention is to play as much as possible, and let people hear us. We invite our listeners to participate in our concerts to become not just a passive listener but an active accepter and giver, it's a synergy, it's a union, it's a family. Playing live concerts- is a very important way of communication with your audience. Many festivals are coming. We plan to release our first EP at the end of autumn. • Crispin Charles Speaks Truth About His “Pain” In Latest Release

Crispin Charles was born and raised in Grenada and was influenced by the sweet sounds of music at an early age. Music was a constant part of his life--his father was a DJ and he grew up listening to the sounds of gospel, reggae, calypso, and soca. With DJ equipment set up in the household at the tender age of ten, Crispin started learning to use the turntable, absorbing how to mix and make smooth music transitions. To hone his rap skills, he started writing poetry and doing research to study the game. By the age of 16, he had compiled two notebooks of poetry and rhymes. A few years later, he dropped his first mix-tape titled ‘Man of The Year’ but got discouraged with the marketing of his content and decided to take a break. Fast forward to 2019, after all of life’s challenges, Crispin is confident as ever and is going full force with his music. “Pain” is a blissfully light on its feet yet fast-paced soundscape. It highlights Crispin’s skills in both musicianship and production that shine brightly from the offset. It’s busy yet gentle all at once, the details and layers that make it up are each incredibly crisp and impressively crafted. The beat works beautifully underneath Crispin’s personal outpouring of observations on life. The track sounds great, calming you in contrast with the struggle implied by the concept. The arrangement is brilliant, longer lines follow the simple repetition, paving the way for something catchy, hooky, yet loaded with emotion and depth. Some of the bars here are incredibly poetic, notably open and honest, all of which work well to impress and connect all at once. Crispin Charles doesn’t hide behind anything, the music and the lyrics work as a unit to portray a sense of realness and purity. Even when effects come into play, they’re artistic choices. We love what Crispin brings the table and can’t wait to see what he delivers next! Check out “Pain” here and read more with Crispin Charles below! What inspired the making of “Pain”? Growing up in Toronto I have many friends who are still trying to figure life out they have not reach their full potential. I see there struggle and I understand it, they also look to me for inspiration and this motivates me to keep doing what I'm doing. How long have you been making music? I have been making music on and off for three years but it's been about 1 year since I have really focus on it and is consistent with putting out music. What’s one of the most important lessons you’ve learned so far in your journey as an artist? One of the important lessons I have learned is to be consistent and be patient if your work is good people will come your fans will come, you cant force people to like your music not everyone is interested in the same thing. What’s next for you? What are your immediate plans, creatively, and what’s the bigger picture? Im working on 5 song ep for next year. I will also be releasing a music video for my song Melanin in October of this year and then release a music video for Pain either Dec or Jan. The bigger picture for me is to continue to be build a loyal fan base that understands that I am not a one dimensional artist my music will change sonically, but also I will be adding other artistic pieces such as a clothing line.
