  • SWiiMS Envelops You In A Warm, Tender Dream On “All I Die For”

Did anyone order an extra helping of dreamy nostalgia? Formed during that magical summer of 2019 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic hitting us like a ton of bricks, the Canadian band SWiiMS began to form via a Craigslist Musicians Wanted ad led to a fateful encounter. Today, composed of members Mai Diaz Langou, Colin Thompson, and Cian O’Ruanaidh, there’s a rare kind of chemistry that shines and sparkles through in their music. Blending influences like 80s new wave, 90s indie rock, Britpop, and shoegaze, the band's mesmerizing sound melts our worries away. Drawing comparison to dreamy acts like Beach House and Slowdive, their talents were noticed early on by NJ-based indie label Mint 400 Records, who released their acclaimed debut EP Through Waves in 2020. Now gearing up for their highly anticipated forthcoming debut LP Into The Blue Night, SWiiMS has clearly pushed their artistic boundaries on it. There’s real indication that the album has the makings to become classic. The album’s lead single, “All I Die For,” is hazy and gorgeous and definitely leaves us craving more. We're super eager to hear the full LP, which comes out on November 10th. Check out “All I Die For” below and follow the band on their IG! Instagram

  • Heartour Invites You To Wake Your Mind On His Trippy New Release, “All They Want”

The multi-faceted musician takes you on a sonic journey you won’t easily forget. Born just outside the sprawling musical metropolis that is New York City, Heartour founder Jason Young grew up in an environment rich with eclectic musical influences. It would only be a matter of time before the budding musician moved to the Big Apple, but when Young made the move, he made sure he did so in an extraordinary way. After forming the successful indie pop outfit The Ruse, he toured worldwide with them as opening acts for Muse, sharpening his skills as a performer and artist before creating the Heartour moniker. A true artist to the core, we can’t wait to see the next step in his musical journey. Under the Heartour moniker, Heartour has diverse influences on his environment. New York City is a global melting pot of cultures, reflected in Heartour’s approach. Now based in Venice Beach, Heartour continues to push his limits, evolve and create. Utilizing a sound he describes as “indie psychedelic pop rock,” Heartour invites us to listen and enjoy the music and awaken our minds with their immersive releases. There’s seemingly no limit to Heartour’s imagination, but that’s resulted in an approach that makes releases feel fresh every time. Featured on his standout 2022 album release “Years,” Heartour describes “All They Want” as “a crunchy, emotional expedition.” The instrumental performance instantly transports us to Heartour’s world of psychedelic wonder, featuring staggering, fast-paced drums and well-placed distorted synths. Heartour’s vocals make the experience, though, as perfectly distorted vocals make it feel like he talks to you in a dream, close but slightly out of reach. “All They Want” also features a fascinating music video that features Heartour’s obscured face and different cutouts of objects that phase in and out of color. Altogether, “All They Want” does many things well but most pertinently transports you to a fully immersive world of psychedelic goodness. Heartour’s release, “All They Want,” is an immersive experience that invites you to join him on a journey of psychedelic goodness. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Heartour’s release “All They Want”, available now on all streaming platforms. Don’t forget to check out the trippy music video now on YouTube. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Heartour! We loved “All They Want,” we have to know! What was the inspiration behind this release? Thank you! This song evolved from a synth bass jam that became two songs on my album, Years. The lyrics for “All They Want” arrived as a stream-of-consciousness improvisation with the music. Sometimes, I have a clear idea about my songs, and sometimes, the meaning reveals itself to me long after the recording is finished. This one is one of the rare ones that has yet to reveal itself fully. That’s the fun thing about creating music for me. I don’t always know what it means or where it comes from. What was the inspiration behind the music video, and what was your favorite part of bringing your vision for the music video to life? I’m a big fan of collage artist Laura Matikainen and was thrilled when she agreed to come on board to bring this video to life. I like what she came up with. My favorite parts are the corn people and the spiral staircase. It’s as abstract and surreal as I hoped it would be. What’s been your favorite thing about being a musician and being able to release your music? I am super grateful that I get to do this. I still get a rush from stumbling across a lyric or musical idea for a song and then seeing that through to a finished piece of recorded music. Creating is such an intrinsic part of who I am that I always return when I take breaks from music. It’s my toolbox and safety blanket for making sense of my life and our world. What do you want your audience to feel when they listen to a Heartour release? I want the listener to feel something. It doesn’t have to be the same feelings that I think, but feeling something is always the goal. What’s next for Heartour? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans? Thank you for listening. These things take time, but I’ll be getting back into the studio soon, and another album will be. If this tune is the first time you’ve heard of mine, I’d love it if you would also consider checking out some of my older albums. R U IN, Submarine Sounds, and Ate are my favorites. • Arcana Kings Won’t Let You Push On In Silence In “Soldier On”

Sometimes, the price of freedom is quickly forgotten. Hailing from the beautiful Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Saskatchewan, rock outfit Arcana Kings exploded onto the scene in 2015 and haven’t looked back since. Captivating audiences with their unique blend of arena rock, punk-pop, and bagpipes (you heard us right), they’ve impressively managed to make a name for themselves in a crowded scene with their unique sound. With no end to their onslaught in sight, this talented group continues to impress with every release, and it’s only a matter of time before they blow up even further. Consisting of the dynamic Johnny McCuaig (lead vocals, bagpipes, rhythm guitar), the electric duo of James Picton (lead guitarist) and Allan Morrison (rhythm guitarist, vocals), the lively Kevin Kyle (bass) and the mercurial Graham Templeman (drums), Arcana Kings possess a rare chemistry that isn’t easily achieved. Additionally, they’re not afraid of shying away from serious issues and causes, with their latest release, “Soldier On,” inspired by soldiers suffering from PTSD. They’ve made it their business to make powerful music that also inspires and has meaning, and when the music is this good, it’s easy to get lost in their releases. About “Soldier On,” McCuaig says, “The lyrics come straight from soldiers suffering with PTSD. We asked them to put their thoughts and feelings on paper,” with the result being “Soldier On”. Opening with King’s iconic bagpipe before powerful guitars and drums take over, the instrumental performance sets a robust foundation for the rest of the song. Combined with lyrics like “Fighting for freedom and strangers of life / we do it all for the red and the white,” “Soldier On” is an inspiring release that inspires a sense of reverence and gratitude for those who give their all for their country. Written to raise awareness of programs like Soldier On, This release is not only for a good cause but also a fantastic piece of art. Arcana King’s latest release, “Soldier On,” is a meaningful yet deliciously powerful offering with an exciting spin on a classic genre. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Arcana King’s new release, “Soldier On”, available now on all majour streaming platforms. Check out the striking music video, too, available on YouTube. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Arcana Kings! Wow, what a powerful release. What was your favorite part of bringing the creative vision for this release to life? Thanks for checking us out! We would have to say the reactions from all the people involved. The soldiers who helped write the lyrics had no idea what we would do with them or even who we were. They had never heard our sound, so their reactions were fantastic when it was all done! Putting your feelings, thoughts, and experiences into music is very personal. After hearing it all put together for the first time, we knew this would have a strong reaction, especially from veterans all over. What was your initial vision for the music video, and did the final version end up being what you envisioned at first glance? Well, we wanted to have more videos of soldiers in action. It's hard to find that kind of footage. We are happy with the way it turned out. It was a lengthy editing process, showing a great story by matching the lyrics to the visuals. You're not just making music for music's sake. How important is making music that has a deeper meaning or cause to you as a band? It's essential. We don't just write a song for the sake of writing music. Every song we have written has a personal experience behind it. With Soldier On, our families have long ties to the military. Going back to WW2 and up until today. My sister's husband was in the Soldier On program. Our bass player, Kevin, is ex-military. We draw from ourselves and our past relationships when we are writing. What's been your favorite part of being able to make your music thus far? We all have different answers for that. But to narrow it down, it comes down to the performance. When we can work the song to where we want it to be and then perform it live, that's where the payoff is. To see other people connect to what you are saying and doing is an incredible feeling. You get the sense that there is a perfect moment, and you have to soak that in. What's next for Arcana Kings? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans? Yes! We will be releasing more music in the next few months. We are excited for everyone to hear what we have been up to! We want to tell the fans to stream Soldier On and share it with their friends and family. We are trying to get a gold record and present it to all of the soldiers who helped write the lyrics to this song. How cool would that be?!!. It's a tiny way for all of us to thank you for your service. Caring is sharing. Instagram Facebook

  • Technology And Mysticism Meet In Sonar Pilot’s Latest Music Video For “Kronos”

Art that inspires inner reflection: that's the mission of Sonarpilot, the alter ego of producer and digital designer Michael Moppert. Through Moppert's genre-bending electronic soundscapes and imaginative visual voyages by fractal artist Roger Mader, audiences are transported into The Mirage Project, a world of audio-visual contemplations on contemporary issues like artificial intelligence, cosmology, the multiverse, alien life, and more. The dynamic duo is back at it again for The Mirage Project, Season 2, with London-based DJ Jonny Miller joining the creative mix. "Mirage VI: Kronos" is the next chapter, promising a mind-bending journey into cosmic timekeeping and a fusion of captivating sound and visuals that defy convention. This latest dubstep masterpiece transports your senses through mesmerizing beats and takes you on a visually mind-bending journey with its music video. From the moment the video begins, it's clear this isn't your typical dubstep experience, which is second nature to Sonar Pilot. Imagine the intricate inner workings of a clock or watch, and that's how the "Kronos" music video starts, with gears turning in perfect synchronization. But then, things turn surreal as a second set of gears in vibrant, unexpected colors materializes on the screen. From there, it's a kaleidoscopic trip of visual wonderment as these gears morph, bend, and melt into forms you wouldn't believe possible. The video's weirdness factor only escalates as the gears shape-shift into different sizes, hues, and patterns, becoming fractal versions of their initial selves. It's an artistic representation of time's malleable nature and impossible to look away. Sonar Pilot's description of the video perfectly encapsulates its essence: "This enigmatic device creates time, sculpting and flexing its very nature, molding its velocity, orchestrating its myriad of layers." As viewers, we're drawn close to the source of this temporal transformation, yet the essence of time remains tantalizingly elusive, slipping through our grasp like sand through our fingers. "Kronos" and its mesmerizing video will put you in a trance, making it a must-watch for both dubstep enthusiasts and lovers of cutting-edge visual artistry. It's a surreal journey that pushes the boundaries of music and visuals, leaving you craving more of Sonar Pilot's unique sonic and visual experiences. Welcome to BuzzMusic, Sonarpilot. We love the music video for "Kronos." It's a mesmerizing visual experience that has us in a trance. Can you tell us about the concept and inspiration behind the video's unique and ever-changing imagery? Thank you for the kind comment! "Kronos" delves into the concept of time: its ever-fluctuating nature, how it seems to race, slow, and transform. While we all have a general understanding of time, it remains challenging to precisely define and slip through our grasp like grains of sand. So, for this project, I aimed to capture the essence of time, the fluidity, the intricate layers, and the mechanical elements, all intertwined with time's enigmatic nature. To achieve this, we developed a series of fractal animations that resembled components of an immense machine, replete with cogwheels and dynamic parts that contort and shift in color. These elements seamlessly blend into one another, each layer flowing in a perpetual cosmic dance. The video's music is a splendid remix of one of my tracks from season one of The Mirage Project. New York-based techno-dub maestro Brendon Moeller skillfully reworks it; it mirrors time's fluidity beautifully. The color palette in the video is vibrant and constantly shifting. What role does color play in conveying the emotions and narrative of the song? Great question! Claude Monet once said, "Color is my day-long obsession, joy, and torment," a quote I deeply resonate with. Color, in many ways, bears a resemblance to time. While we all have an innate understanding of color, it proves challenging to articulate. Like, how does one describe the color "red"? We can draw comparisons - a tomato is red - but conveying the essence of red to someone without sight would be impossible. Nonetheless, we all harbor profound emotional connections to color day to day. But in reality, the world lacks inherent colors; it merely consists of varying electromagnetic waves. It is our brains that truly fashion colors - how we see them - and consequently, we remain uncertain about the world's true appearance. What we perceive is a grand illusion that we all share, but it's unclear if we truly see the same things: we both comprehend what "red" signifies to us individually, but does my red align with yours? Color is in a perpetual flux, elusive and challenging to define, yet it remains one of the most potent sensations we encounter - much like time itself. The Mirage Project is known for its thought-provoking content. How does this video contribute to the more prominent themes and conversations explored in the project? Contemplating time constitutes one of the fundamental facets of the human experience. We cast our thoughts forward, riddled with anticipations or enthusiasm. Our recollections of the past resurface, carrying a tapestry of emotions. Ultimately, we confront the awareness that our time on this Earth is finite. These intricacies define our humanity. Delving into the realm of time equates to exploring our very essence as humans - That's precisely what The Mirage Project is ultimately about. Your music often explores complex and contemporary themes. How does the visual aspect of the music video complement and enhance the message conveyed in the song? The combination of the soundtrack and visuals yields a potent experience - a voyage to a realm often veiled in strangeness yet interwoven with familiar themes that hold significance. In this union, the whole surpasses the sum of its components. I have been working as a musician for many years; that's where I come from, and therefore, I hold a deep commitment to crafting a soundtrack that stands as a standalone, enjoyable creation. It should accompany you like your movie score during travels or a stroll along the beach. Simultaneously, it must harmonize seamlessly with the visuals, embracing a cinematic quality. The ultimate aim is to ensure that both the visuals and soundtrack mutually optimally enhance each other. What else is in store with The Mirage Project, Season 2? Can you give us a sneak peek into what viewers can expect from future episodes of this audio-visual journey? We have two more Mirages planned for Season 2 in 2023. For 2024, we're discussing some exciting remix collaborations with electronic artists worldwide 2024. We've had great experiences with doing collaborations in the past on our Sonarpilot Audio label. And, of course, we're exploring new ideas for Season 3 of The Mirage Project to create even more unique and abstract worlds. We're a lot more active on social media as our audience has grown with us. On the technical front, we're considering using Artificial Intelligence to help us craft new elements for our future worlds. We'd love to have you along for the journey! Instagram Facebook

Desarae Dee’s newest release, “Fuse,” is an exquisite multi-genre blend that feels smooth, light, and warm. Whenever you need a jazzy new tune to hit the dancefloor, tap in and stream Desarae Dee’s new release, “Fuse.” Welcome to BuzzMusic, Desarae Dee, and congratulations on your latest release, "Fuse." We loved "Fuse," what a fantastic release! Every sound just went together so perfectly! What was your vision for this release? Well, this song is special. In 2018, I almost quit music due to lack of support, writer's block, and not knowing what else I had to offer. Then, I realized that I genuinely wasn't using all the musical gifts I had outside of playing the piano, and I discovered Garage Band (what I was using to produce at that time), which completely changed my music career trajectory. Alongside this, I started taking producing more seriously, learning about sound design and what sounds fit well together, and staying true to my musical uniqueness. "FUSE" was one of the first songs I created after making that realization. I've always been fascinated with electronic and house music and wondered what fusing Jazz chord structures with these two genres would sound like. I wanted to create an upbeat song that had an 80s vibe to it - almost like a Michael Jackson vibe, and I wanted it to be musical! I've had this song written for nearly five years before I decided to team up with my co-producer, Trill Beetz, to elevate the song. What inspired you to start making music, and what inspires you to keep making music today? From the time I was 15, I was writing my music, and my inspiration for writing came from my uniqueness and ability to hear music in a different way that was not the norm. I strongly believe in cultivating your unique sound, unique to who you are as a person and artist. My passion and my love for music continue to be my driving force for continuing to create timeless, unique, and "outside the box" music. What's been your favorite thing about being able to make your music and share it with fans? My favorite thing about creating music is being able to show people that music doesn't have to "sound a certain way," be "regimented," or "have rules." I've always been someone who went against musical boundaries, and I would bend genres in a way where I could tell my story and hope that it resonated with listeners. What would you want it to be if your audiences could take one thing away from your music? Through my music, I have discovered who I am as a person and as an artist, and I hope that listeners resonate with the music I create and that they, too, can be inspired through their journeys of self-discovery. What's next for Desarae Dee? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans? What's next for me? Well, there will definitely be more music coming for the holidays, and who knows what 2024 has in store for me. I'm sure it's going to be amazing! Instagram Facebook
