Ksenia has bigger aspirations and dreams for herself than just simply a singer. That’s right! She would eventually like to piece together her one-woman show, calling it “My Russian Accent is Ruining My Career”, a masterful piece that allows her to combine her love of acting, music, as well as comedy. In 5 years, she sees herself growing into a bigger star and even hosting SNL. She’s proving to be more than just a singer with a good voice. Her business mentality, multi-talented skills, and multi-faceted characteristics make her a stand-out artist and brand as a whole. From a small town in Russia to the bright Hollywood lights, Ksenia currently lives as a bicoastal artist and just wants to bring her love of music and entertainment to the rest of the world. She’s not only speaking to herself, but to her friends and fans alike. It goes without saying that this is only the beginning of the up and coming star. Anyone would be remiss not to pay close attention. Listen to Ksenia here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Ksenia! Tell us, how was it growing up in Russia!? In what ways is your upbringing incorporated in your music? Growing up in Russia was fun! I was always so busy: music school, comedy group, dance classes, singing competitions. I was never resting. I was actually thinking recently, that I am so glad my parents are such nice people and they raised me well. I was also singing in Russian traditional folk music group and there is a certain way you sing Russian traditional song and I still have a bit of it in my performance! I also co-wrote a song, “Tell Me” based on a very old Russian folk song. I think it’s so cool to incorporate my Russianness into pop music. Your single, “Keep Walking” is gaining great success for you so far! What was the initial vision you had for this record? Yay! Thank you! I wanted to write a song with a bit of an attitude. Like hey you, keep walking the other way! No more talking! This is over! It turned out the way I wanted. Also, my music producer is a badass, she gets me so well. Whenever I bring new ideas for the song, we just rock and roll it! Knowing you have plans on releasing a visual to “Keep Walking” on December 3rd, how was the video process? Did you encounter any challenges during the creative process for it? Yes, releasing a dance music video for my song, “Keep Walking”! My performance shots were on the Brooklyn Bridge, I wanted it to be a metaphor that I am crossing that bridge and I am done. I also wanted to tell a story through dancing as well! I am super passionate about ballroom dancing and I am the very beginner at it. The biggest challenge was to dance and act and to lock my knees. Rumba is soo hard, but I love it so much! What inspired you to write “Keep Walking? Keep Walking was inspired by one narcissistic person. Narcissists love to play mind games, it’s a cruel game they play, you think there is something real going on but for them, it’s just a game so they can feed their huge ego! That's why there are lyrics “it was a love story without love and heartbreak without heart”.. cuz it was just a game all along, and by the time I figured that out, I didn’t want to curse him out. I just said to “Keep Walking”! With plans on hosting your own one-woman show, can you hint to us the vision you have for it? My one-woman show will open with standup. It will be a mini Saturday night live with Ksenia. Music, comedy and acting and lots of visuals on the screen. It’s still in the works, but I promise it to be very entertaining! We’re so excited about this upcoming EP you’re planning on releasing! Can you tell us what we may expect from this project? I am so excited too! I am so proud of my latest music. I put all my heart and soul into it. People can def to get to know me better and find out how sensitive I really am. I worked on this EP the entire year, and every song is very meaningful to me. iamksenia.com Instagram.com/iamksenia #BuzzMusic

Matthew J’s future is looking a little bit more bright in this industry & we’re excited to see what’s next from him. Listen to Matthew J here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Matthew J! What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome this year? How were you able to maneuver through this obstacle? Hi! Thanks for having me again and for choosing me as one of your top artists for 2019, that's pretty sweet haha. I have to be honest, I think musically I had a pretty good year for myself as I attained a lot of personal growth goals with my music. One struggle this year though has been finishing tracks in a timely manner. I'm still working through that actually, but I have some new steps in place that I think will assist me in finally getting over that mountain. Let’s talk about your music! Where did you find most of your influence behind the singles “Like Everybody Else” & “Symphony”? Yes! So for both of those tracks, I drew a lot of inspiration from the singers themselves. For the "Symphony" remix, I heard a grittiness to Erika in both the lyrics and how she sang the original. The lyrics are about a girl being strong and going out on her own, and I felt my remix should convey that. As for "Like Everybody Else", it's a cover of a Lennon Stella song by the same name. Amanda came to me with the idea and I loved it. I wrote that one to keep the emotion of the original, but also something that would suit Amanda's voice. I've worked with her before so I knew the direction I wanted to take it before we started. Were there any arrangements you wanted to experiment with “We’re All We Need”? Not too much actually, I don't experiment with arrangements toooo much usually. With that one what I was really trying to do was just create a chill, house version of a classic progressive trance track. I think the original would be considered progressive trance? Or just trance, I'm not sure. Either way, I love A&B and wanted to just re-create their classic in a different vibe. What was your personal favorite element to “Like Everybody Else”? Um, Amanda's voice for sure haha. I think she really pulls the whole thing together. If I had to choose a second, it would be the pianos. I really like the keys I played in that one. How would you describe your approach to “Symphony” and the creative process behind it? For that one, I really wanted to create something completely different than the original, but not lose any of the feelings that Erika put into it. I wanted to take the original and just add a layer of aggression to it really. What’s next for you Matthew J? Oh man, so much haha. Going into this new year I'm really focused on finishing more music and really shopping to labels, as opposed to releasing everything independently. I'd like to gain some artist and label support. I think 2020 is going to be a big learning and growing year for me musically, I'm excited about it. matthewjforreal.com #BuzzMusic

Listen to "No More Division" here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Light Warriors. When did Light Warriors form? (Erik Rabasca, gtr/vox) Thank you. I’m grateful to be here. I started it as a solo project back in 2015, playing all roles on the first album Survival of Joy, releasing that in 2016. After nearly 130 shows, we have a great group of players with a singular vision. Being a band of 7 amazing members, how did you all find each other and come together? It’s simply beautiful how energies align when the time is right. After that first album, there were a lot of players I collaborated with for shows. So many talented people but who also all had other projects. It was challenging to gain a commitment which is vital for any kind of momentum. So I rolled two to three deep in every band position for awhile. In 2017 after releasing Raise The Frequency, I was able to sustain a lineup for a period before everyone’s life circumstances moved them to other pursuits and opportunities. Liz Page (vocals and hand percussion) was a part of this group. She went to school in New Orleans for the better part of the next year while I hit reset mode.mIn addition to doing group and solo shows, I was also going to a lot of open jams to meet other players during this transition time. One of those players, Angel Sanchez on bass, said he liked what I did and wanted to be a part of it. So we did a bunch of shows together with Nick DiFrisco on drums (who I had done prior gigs with) from Dec 18 through the spring of this year. Liz came back in the fold around this time and we rocked as a quartet. Then, Nick tore like three major ligaments in his shoulder and has been out for at least six months now. We got a call to do a show in New Haven with some friends from the open jam scene in August. Angel was in a band previously with Steven Jean Baptiste on drums, Jamarr Jabari on percussion and Kris Brewer on sax called Southwind Social Club. We had all jammed a bunch together already over a couple of years thanks to Arch Street Collective and Two Bald Crew in southern CT. So the gig went incredibly well and we decided to do it again. As Nick was out of commission, we moved forward with this unit, adding Matt Hichar on keys to make us seven who we met through a friend of Nick’s. We’ve now done about 20 shows since the summer. We‘re having a great time, working hard and really starting to hit that higher level of soul connection. It’s like family. And we’re all on the same unity vibe of the song No More Division. We all believe music is a transformative force for good. After five years, it feels like we’re finally at the starting point. The best is yet to come. The music is very cohesive for 7 different people coming to lay down a sonic masterpiece. What is your biggest struggle when writing within a group of that size? Wow, thank you for your kind words. Our biggest challenge is scheduling!! (laughs) So I’ve pretty much set the tone to date on record. But the tunes have transformed life as everyone’s individual contributions have evolved of our collective sound and vibe. We’re listening to each other on a deep level which creates that natural intuitive space everyone to shine. What are some other battles that Light Warriors try to fight with your music? Like everyone, we’re all working hard to create space that allows the music to thrive. And we’re succeeding at that despite the daily life challenges. The main battle we tackle is the relentless pursuit of truth. We have to remain true to ourselves as creative and kind individuals and then true to the group pursuit of bringing love into action through our music. Love is the highest frequency of the universal language. So when we connect to that universal source, there’s no denying truth of the moment. In these current times with media skews toward advertising demographics, with social media feed bombardment, with lack of political integrity, with everyone screaming at each other, with the lack of trust, it’s so easy to be jaded and spiral in that vortex of negativity. But energy both feeds and co-creates new energy. So we’re tapping the positive energy that needs nourishing and healing by staying true to ourselves with every note, every lyric and every show. It’s a discipline especially with so much thrown at all of us every day. If anyone of us is in it for anything other than channeling that light, if it becomes about fashion or status or ego or any of those life distractions, then we’re not fulfilling our mission. We’re all in it together and we can only get to the next level together. So we continue to battle together and inspire each other to reach new heights. What is next for you all? Can we expect touring and new music soon? We are hard at work on new music. Ideally, we’ll have an album for mid-year but we don’t want to rush the natural flow of creation. So we’ll balance that desire with soul satisfaction. But we’ll definitely have something by spring...even if it’s a single. We’ve been playing a bunch of shows from New Haven, CT to Brooklyn and Manhattan and out to Long Island. We’ll keep working that circuit and with the next release, we’ll likely hit Boston to DC on the east coast and then the route out to Chicago and back. We’re going to do a live stream from the studio the first week in January as part of an international event with 7 Days of Rest “to begin the new year by co-creating a global unified field of intention and experience dedicated to the healing and replenishment of the planet and all its inhabitants.” Please follow our socials for more on this. For anyone in and around New York City, we’re doing Sofar Sounds on Friday, 1/17 and then at Bowery Electric on Thursday, 1/23 at 8pm for Bridging The Music’s Winter MiniFEST. Connecticut folks can catch us Peaches in Norwalk on Saturday, 1/25 before we take a hiatus to finish recording. Thanks so much for the opportunity to speak together. instagram.com/lightwarriors facebook.com/lightwarriorsmusic #BuzzMusic

  • Samson Crowe Elemental Sound Has Made Him A Pop-out Artist!

Samson Crowe is a Canadian experimental musician whose distinct sound connects you to a rich world of adventure and intrigue. His music is filled with poetic lyricism drawing on his experiences growing up on the cusp of the Canadian wilderness. Samson Crowe is starting 2020 out with a bang. His upcoming record, 'High & Wild', to be released in early 2020 is, as described by Samson, "Mostly rock n' roll music for coyotes and badgers, as well as lullabies for insomniac sheep who are tired of counting themselves". Samson Crowe is putting experimental rock n roll on the map for those who feel as if the genre has reached a point of potential sinking. Samson Crowe is amongst the greats who are delivering us the most electrifying multi-dimensional records that will never fade away. Samso Crowe has gained great recognition for his dynamic talents. Samson Crowe's first album, 'During the Rainy Season' was nominated for the Fraser Valley Music Awards in 2018 for the best experimental album. 2020 is the start of a new decade, a new era, and more monumental achievements for the one and only Samson Crowe & he’s just getting started as 'Fever Dream Jenny', the first single from 'High & Wild' is available for streaming now! Listen to Samson Crowe here. Welcome back to BuzzMusic Samson Crowe! What has been the biggest challenge you had to overcome musically in 2019 and what lesson have you learned from it that will impact your career for the greater?  Thanks! The biggest challenge I've faced I would say, and I think many musicians can relate to this, was learning how to explore my musical vision with very limited resources. I think it's taken me a lot of practice in the studio to get the hang of it. The biggest lesson I learned from it is that you can embrace the compromise between your goal and your reach and allow the music to kinda take its form around you. I learned that I shouldn't force my songs into being precisely what I imagined and instead focus on making them the best songs they can be. It's a small mindset change but it makes a huge difference. How would you describe the creative process when making “Strange Animals”? It very much draws from reflections of myself and the people around me throughout the last decade. It's a bitter/sweet kinda thing. It's a mix of looking back and looking forward. Which song from “Strange Animals” was a personal favorite of yours and why is that? I like the title track 'Strange Animals'. It was, as an example of what I was talking about before, a process of compromise. It turned out very different than I planned, but easily superior, I have no doubts about that. It's got a lot of push and pull to it. I think it takes the listener on a bit of an adventure, which is always a goal in my music. Talk to us about your record “Fever Dream Jenny” what was the vision you had for this?  It's had a couple of lives. I must have written it when I was 17 or so, and it was a folk song. I didn't care for it at first. I wasn't that great with lyrics and I wasn't really as engaged with folk music at that point in time. As I got a little older I realized that rock 'n' roll was what was missing from my life. It's such a versatile and expressive genre. I rediscovered Fever Dream Jenny with a bit of a second wind. I reworked the lyrics to give them better continuity and just generally apply the poetic skill I had accumulated over the years to make it into a better song. I think the rock 'n' roll thing really works for it, I really like the song now. How would you detail your songwriting approach to “Fever Dream Jenny”? I was experimenting with this format of defining sections of a song by keywords rather than fully formed choruses and verses. Each verse is broken into two contrasting sections, defined by changes in the rhythm, slight changes in the chord progression, and in particular, keywords and phrases. The idea was that one section would be "babe, I don't trust...", and then the speaker would go on about not trusting something, and the other section would be "well they...", and whatever "they" were doing built up to "cause I spent the whole night...", where the speaker would talk about what they spent the night doing, and I would write using those cues to tell a story. From there it really took on a life of its own. What are you looking forward to most in 2020 Samson Crowe? A new album! "High & Wild" will feature 12 songs, 11 of which are my own and one which is a cover that can be guessed from the title of the record if you're up for a challenge. I think the album can best be described as a sort of rhythmic nuclear fission, or maybe a cup of coffee with two shots of lightening. There are some great performances on it as well. Liam Deakin, the man who plays some fantastic bass on Fever Dream Jenny, is on quite a few tracks, and Cassidy Lanting just recorded some backing vocals for me. Keep an eye out for it on April 4th. instagram.com/samsoncrowe #BuzzMusic #Bestof2019

  • Marc Dinero Is a True Hip-Hop Lyricist and 2020 Is Going to Be His Year!

Marc Dinero has always had a passion for music but he put it on a back burner. However, this ended in 2019 when he realized that it was time to make his music a priority. This led to his album “Inception”, inspiring hip-hop that still keeps it fresh, featuring the latest single on his project “Loafers and Suitcases”. ‘Inception’ has been a long time coming for Marc DiNero. Growing up in Peoria, IL, he discovered hip hop early in life and was taken with it almost instantly. After realizing he hadn’t been investing in himself, he took a dive and did just that in 2019. This investment came into a labor of love, passion, and incredible music on his debut. A dozen songs deep, ‘Inception’ takes what the masses have always loved about hip hop and gives it an inspirational twist. Like on his latest single, “Loafers and Suitcases” featuring none other than BRXTN. Marc Dinero is a spectacular artist with phenomenal creativity. His raw authenticity takes us back to the pure culture of hip-hop where rap felt like rap and not such a gimmick. A hip hop lyricist who takes his craft to the next level, there is no telling where Marc DiNero will go in 2020 but we’re sure it’s to the top. Listen to Marc DiNero's music here. Welcome to BuzzMusic Marc Dinero! What initially inspired you to pursue music? I have always had a passion for music. I began doing music back in my early teenage years mimicking early DMX, Tupac, Jay-z, and Biggie. I always knew that I had it in me to make good music and provide a story in Hip Hop that should be told. The issue that I had initially was getting myself to think outside of the box and break from the life of Normalcy and complacency. Prior to this journey, I spent years trying to fit into what I thought society wanted me to be. I always allowed my fear of public perception to persuade me from pursuing a dream that I had buried away. My inspiration that really fueled my drive to pursue music was understanding that I am not the only one out there that has a talent or a dream that we want to pursue. Often times we get too caught up thinking about failing or how everyone will view you for doing something outside of what they believe your pathway should be. I looked at the road ahead of me before beginning this journey and I could find every reason why I couldn't do this but I intentionally ignored all of those negative thoughts and found every way I could make this happen. I feel like that is what people have to do when you are jumping out there into something that may seem scary. You have to just begin the journey and tackle the task as they come. If you try to see the full picture before it is finished, you can get overwhelmed by thinking of all the detail that you still have to put in place and doing that can bring the negative thoughts that could cause you to quit. The true inspiration that drove me to fully invest in myself with music was my son. He asked me a question once, "Dad, why didn't you ever try to make it to the NBA since you were good at basketball? If you were so good at music why didn't you try to get your songs on the radio?" I would always tell my son that he could be whatever he put his mind to and he was challenging the very thing that I preach to him. How could I tell him that, when I didn't dream big enough myself? I tried to tell him that I had to grow up quickly because I had him at a young age but he responded with, "there are people in the NBA with kids". All the reason why I say that we can find every excuse to not pursue something but it takes a special kind of drive to ignore that negativity and find the motivation that can push you to completion. Which leads to why I named my debut album "Inception". Tell us about your album “Inception”, what was the biggest challenge you had to overcome this project? Inception is defined as the beginning of something. With any dream or pursuit, it starts with an idea. That idea can lead to us to fully living in our purpose or it can stay right there in our mind as something we wish we could do. So many times, we look at someone in a position we want to be in and either say, “I want to be there or I wish I could do that”. This project explains how I battled with the pursuit of my music dream and I used songs like “Dreamgate”, “Inception”, and “Campaign” to really elaborate on some of my experiences by painting the picture lyrically and using my words as a way of inspiration to others that may be struggling with that very thing. My biggest challenge while pursuing this dream was perception and patience. I spoke on perception earlier but patience is one of my worst attributes. I tend to look at people further along and get discouraged when I am not matching someone’s success. I look too far ahead when I need to focus on the present. I found myself not enjoying certain parts of the journey because I was too worried about how I will be received by others. Fear of going through the initial phases of coming out as an artist caused me to have thoughts of rushing the process very easy. Attempts to rush the process can lead you to release a half potency product. I really believe that with social media and how everyone feels the need to be socially accepted by the majority causes fear, which in return could lead us to be very unhappy individuals. Overcoming that fear and turning that idea into action is what this album is mainly about. Can you tell us about the theme of “Inception”? What was the main message behind most of the songs on this album? The theme of “Inception” really came from one of my favorite movies which are also titled “Inception”. Although my project is not based on the movie, the idea of a dream being started as an idea in the mind was definitely inspired by the movie. My journey with music is a dream that I had to kickstart and make a reality. Most people are afraid to make that jump for some of the reasons I expressed earlier. This album speaks on those reasons from my personal experiences and I hope that this inspires people to pursue their dream or life goal. I would like to reach someone that is currently struggling with the same things that I struggled with and they see this music as a spark for them. Ultimately, I believe that is why God blessed me with the gift of music. I hope that people can see my gift when they listen to my music. How would you describe the creative process behind “Inception” did you experiment with any new arrangements? The creative process was definitely the fun part of all of this as it should be. I released my first single in July of this year titled “Moves”. I immediately knew and could hear the potential of that song is a hit. I really wanted to stay in the conceptual framework of the title “Inception”. I was able to do that for the most part. I recorded 29 songs to reach my final 12 for this project. Each song was a different vibe for me. I feel that I approached each song differently when it comes to how I decided on my cadence and lyrical approach. I tend to write my songs the best when I can arrange the hook to the song first. Once I create and write the hook, I begin freestyling my cadence and how I would approach my verse before I begin writing. Once I figure out the first couple of bars from the verse, it’s all fun from there. I love the process of creating, especially when you really think about how you were able to come up with some of the metaphors and direction with the song. I think you will be able to hear the hard work that was put into this project though. As far as to beat selection, I really have to give a lot of credit to my main producer Poetic Justes from Louisville Ky. I thought I had a complete project in August but he heard a snippet of my music through IG and he reached out to me and said that he wanted to make some music to cater to my sound. After he sent me a few beats we instantly connected and he produced 80% of my project. What about your latest single “Loafers And Suitcases”? What’s the biggest theme this song presents? My second single “Loafers and Suitcases” was produced by Poetic Justes. When he sent me the instrumental it sounded like something very comparable to what is out today. It had that light trap sound and provided a really good bassline. This concept came super easy, I just wanted to approach this song with a concept that has never been used before. The title “Loafers and Suitcases” was the first thing that came to my mind. I have really been diving into the classic business attire so I figured instead of listeners hearing this beat and listening to a bunch of negativity. I figured I could create a boss up anthem to get people on they CEO swag. During this journey, I made sure that I took the time and began learning the business side of music so this song also expresses my business approach. What’s next for you in 2020 Marc Dinero? We can't wait to hear future releases from you, thank you for taking the time to speak with us! I will be spending a lot of time traveling the US pushing this project and my single releases. I am already looking to releasing a 5 track EP in 2020. My main focus will be getting my name out there more, learning as much as the business as I can, networking and building great business relationships, and pushing this project heavy. instagram.com/marc_dinero twitter.com/marc_dinero facebook.com/marcdinero32 #BuzzMusic

And that fight just kept getting larger and larger for music What was the message behind the lyricism in “Miles Apart”? The message behind miles apart was that when you love someone so much whether they are right next to you or hours away that love never goes away because that person is the same no matter what I want people to know that if you want someone so much go for them don't let them get away and miss your shot at love What was the most challenging aspect of creating your single “In The Moment” and how did you overcome the obstacles? Well, a lot of people don't know this song was about my grandma passing away and it was very hard because she was my best friend my biggest supporter and she just always wanted me to succeed so now that she is gone I go every day with the mindset that this is for her I'm living my dream for both of us! • The Youthful Pop Rock of Nico Maddox

Nico Maddox recently released and 4 track EP titled Tired of Thinking and the record packs the punch of youthful honesty and energy. Kicking things off is "Erratic Feelings", a track that attacks you with incredibly catchy hook after hook. The song never lets up and portrays a great style of indie rock songwriting. Next up is "Heart" which feels so familiar yet somehow fresh. This song is one of the best on the EP as just when you think it can't get catchier, the chorus rolls around and it's completely addicting. The song that follows is called "Help" and it takes things into a different direction altogether. Digitized beats and a little on the gloomier side, it's more indie-pop than rock but still stays true to the roots of the sound on the record. But the record keeps morphing with the final track "I'll Take The Blame" which is a straight pop song all around. One of the strongest in the way of radio pop it pushes something of a Gorillaz feel but unique in its own right. Tired of Thinking is a definite must hear and that can be done right here. soundcloud.com/nicomaddoxx nicomaddoxx.bandcamp.com twitter.com/nicomaddoxx instagram.com/nicomaddoxx #BuzzMusic

  • G Phatz's Music Has Intensively Grown Throughout 2019!

G Phatz is a rap artist who was born and raised in Texas, beginning his journey with music at a very young age. G Phatz grew up heavily influenced by a unique set of street life experiences. This perspective helped shape his focus, grit, and drive needed for the music industry. G Phatz released a variety of groundbreaking singles this year, that definitely contain the potential to skyrocket his growing fame into higher success. G Phatz keeps his music diverse from one another instead of one-dimensional---it’s a skill not many artists have the ability to accomplish, but for G Phatz, the challenge is easy! He has songs with a melodic beat and addicting style, which we found especially so in his recent track “Stay In My Lane”. We took a listen to "Stay In My Lane", and our investment into the sound of G Phatz became undeniable. G Phatz maintains pure aggression and raw intensity through every lyric he delivered to us in "Stay In My Lane". However, this aggression and intensity only build itself higher in another one of G Phatz tracks: “Knuckle Up”. “Knuckle Up” encompassed the rage that G Phatz contained surrounding hip-hop culture in today’s society. G Phatz pours his emotion off into "Knuckle Up" and expresses his perspective in a methodical way. As an artist, G Phatz proves to be an explosive rapper, switching up his diction and delivery between both records “Stay In My Line” and “Knuckle Up”, but capturing our attention nonetheless. G Phatz is undeniably a hitmaking artist who is set to have a record-breaking 2020. We're anticipating his next sound! Listen to G Phatz here. Welcome to BuzzMusic G Phatz! Talk to us about your single “Knuckle Up”. What was the initial vision you had for this record? I wanted to capture the feeling that most people have when they have been lied to or done wrong in any form. This is really a fuck you anthem from the streets to anyone and everyone from anyone and everyone, that has not kept things. What would you consider the most challenging aspect in creating “Knuckle Up”? I didn’t find anything challenging about the track itself. I needed to keep the message simple and to the point. While also expressing my true feelings in a way that could be received in its purest, and most direct form. How would you describe your songwriting approach to your single “Stay In My Lane”? Really just vibin' to the fact that you don’t have to be what your not or project what you're not. That you can stay true to you, and still get to where you need to go. I think too many people today, want to imitate what works for other people. It might not necessarily work for them but they see it as a lane to achieve their goal. When writing this track I wanted to touch on being yourself without compromising for anything or anyone. What was the biggest inspiration for the song “Stay In My Lane”? As an artist I observe a lot, I guess you can say that an artist is a reflection of their environment. Now that we are more connected through social media our environment is the world. “Stay in my lane “ is me saying I do me, Regardless of what everyone else thinks I should or shouldn’t do. From your artist’s perspective, what are some major elemental differences between both “Stay In My Lane” and “Knuckle Up”? Like fire and water. “Stay in my lane” is a more laid back with a conscious message. While “Knuckle Up“ is in your face and confrontational. “Stay in my Lane“ is like chill, I will do me and you do you. “Knuckle Up “ is like f*ck you. What’s next for you G Phatz? “Walking Threat” EP dropping soon. I have another single off that called “every hood every block “ featuring Glasses Malone On this project features from Willie D  ( Geto Boys), Carolyn Rodrigues Coy ( Dopehouse), Elite 1, Micheal White, and Green of the Gotti Gang, “Neighborhood hustler” mixtape. Once again teaming up with DJ FIRE going to have two singles on this the rest will be mixtape tracks “Neighborhood Hustler” featuring Point Blank, “My Life ” featuring New Game. Also working on some tracks for a project  DJ FIRE is dropping called ”Southern state of mind” Documentary an album, really excited about it. instagram.com/realgphatz/ twitter.com/realgphatz #BuzzMusic

  • Multifaceted Artist Misty Rosas Is Back In The Studio Gearing Up For Her Next Release

Misty Rosas is the epitome of a creative. She proudly displays her love for the art form through a diverse amount of creative outlets. Misty’s creative side manifests itself in the form of singing, songwriting, acting, and many other forms. Misty is a proud California native, born in Mission Viejo and raised in the mountains of the Cleveland National Forest. Her original path to recording her debut album “Life Lessons Love” was a spark of fate. She was auditioning for a role in Sid The Science Kid, which she inevitably got, and the creator asked if she could sing. This led to the creator loving her voice so much that he introduced her to the show’s music producer Paul Graham and his production partner Paul Bushnell and the rest is history. Fast forward to the present day, Misty’s single “Paper House” is a gorgeously vulnerable ballad about what people are going through on the inside while trying to make the outside seem strong. The single has seen nothing but success so far, Mkisty remains positive and strives towards getting her single “Paper House” in a film, television series, or commercial. After opening for Erotic City at The Rose, and Air Supply at The Starlight Bowl this summer, Miksty Rosas has been hard at work in the studio once again with Paul Bushnell and Paul Graham. She’s currently writing, recording, and preparing new content for her next release! Stay tuned. Listen to “Paper House” here and keep scrolling for more with Misty Rosas in our interview below! Hi Misty! It’s such a pleasure to have you back on BuzzMusic! We're happy to hear you’re back in the studio! Can you give our readers any hints to what this looks like in the near future?  Hello BuzzMusic! Thank you so much for having me back. I am truly honored! Yes, I have been back in the studio with my record producers. We have been working on new songs. I have a couple of music projects that I am currently developing, and my plan is to release them both in 2020. “Paper House” is incredibly uplifting and powerful! What inspired you to originally write this song? Firstly, thank you so much for the kind compliment! It really does mean a lot to me!  What inspired me to write "Paper House" is my love for the beautiful, empathetic spirit in us all, as well as a desire to connect with people about the deep, shame-filled, emotional stuff that we tend to suppress. Creating a dialogue with people was a big inspiration for writing the song. I don't want people to suffer in silence! My hope is that in my willingness to share my "tough stuff", it will encourage others to do the same; to open up; and to realize that we all struggle! It's quite okay to struggle, but you don't have to do it alone! People care! People will listen! This song is my way of expressing that I see you! I know your struggle, it is similar to mine, and we are all struggling and growing as we weave our way together through this life experience. How have you honed your songwriting style over time, and what do you think are the main qualities that make a song truly connect and last in the long-run? Like anything, the more you do it, the more you practice at it, the more you will improve. The songs that really resonate with people are the ones that come from a very honest and unfiltered place! When I started out I was hesitant to write about my very personal struggles, but as time went on I gained more and more confidence, and what I know for sure is that the truth is powerful, and the truth is, well, simply the truth. It is what it is, and I made a conscious decision to simply write about my truth, and that includes writing about the tough stuff! The stuff that I've held deep inside, with a great deal of shame for a long time. I had no idea how people would react to my very emotional songs, but the response has been so incredibly gratifying! Again, there is nothing like connecting with people on a deep, emotional level! To share my stories with strangers, and to have them really identify through a similar experience, it really touches my heart! The Human Connection is everything! How would you say your music now compares to the music you curated when you first started out in the music industry? When I started out, I wasn't quite clear about the message I wanted to convey. I simply wrote about my experiences, and my songs were a fun, eclectic mix of Pop and Adult Contemporary tracks. I believe you can only find your voice in the process of doing. So I just wrote songs, recorded, created music videos, and learned lessons along the way. Time has passed, things haven't changed all that much, but I do know what my message is now: It is about inspiring others! It is about sharing my raw truth and in doing so encouraging people to have faith, to be brave, and to choose to live the life they dream of too! If I can do it, they can do it! Thank you so much for chatting with us once again! We’re huge fans of you at BuzzMusic! Can you tell our readers what the future has in store for you artistically? How do you remain on track to write consistently? Thank you BuzzMusic! It's my pleasure! Again, thank you for the very kind compliment! It means a lot to me! The future is full of new songs, more shows, and of course opening for Air Supply on their next World Tour. Although I have to be honest, my music career has had to share time with my acting career this year! I booked a supporting role in the new live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, premiering this Tuesday, November 12th on the new Disney+ streaming service, and I also reprieved my role as the motion capture artist for the character, Lulu the panda, in the Jim Henson/Netflix series, Word Party. We shot Season 4 this past year. I will be on hiatus in mid-December, and I'm heading right back into the recording studio at that time! To write consistently, I practice meditation and yoga 5 times a week (When my schedule permits) The yoga room is always space where I become present with my breath, and a lot of my song ideas are born there. Yoga helps me to keep fresh ideas flowing.  Also, once I have some free time from shooting I will be able to get out again. Time out with friends, going places, doing things, dancing, listening to music, it is all part of my creative process! :) Thank you again for including me in your Top 10, Best of 2019! I am truly honored! facebook.com/MistyRosasMusic/ instagram.com/missmistyrosas/ #BuzzMusic

  • Watch & Listen Now - KARIO Opens up With Debut Track “A Piece of Me”

Do you ever come across those moments in your life where fate deals with your cards? If you didn’t say that exact thing at that exact moment, how different life would be? KARIO’s singer watched the love of his life walk past him and he got the courage to go and talk to her, and that’s had such a profound impact on both of their lives. This song, “A Piece of Me” is about exactly this. Comprised of indie rocks finest jammers, the forthcoming KARIO EP features Jon Natchez (The War on Drugs), Garret Ray (Vampire Weekend), Elijah Thomson (Father John Misty), Mitchel Yoshida and Stewart Cole (Edward Sharp and The Magnetic Zeros), Lewis Pesacov (Fools Gold), and Rachel Goodrich. The song and video for “A Piece of Me” are both absolutely breathtaking and thought-provoking. Given the story of the song, the video shows a man dancing in a trance and it seems like he flashes between his old and current self. Almost as if what would’ve been if he didn’t take the chance of talking to the woman of his dreams. The song opens up with a familiar feeling of indie contemporary, however, it has moments of psychedelic inspiration and indie/ pop vibes. The vocal performance is flowing, driving deep into your ears for supersonic satisfaction. The lyrics are incredible and hit in a way that leaves you feeling inspired & nostalgic. Make sure you listen to KARIO’s debut “A Piece of Me” and keep up with them for new music! www.officialkario.com
