The biggest lesson I’ve ever had was learning to Separate Personal and business. Not everyone in the business is you’re friend/Homie. My Biggest Flaw at First was trying to work with everyone, but throughout the Years, I’ve learned to keep my circle small with people I can trust. Your song “Bounce Back” had a West Coast vibe to it! In what ways were you influenced by your upbringing and background? Well, I was born in Northern California (Salinas, Ca) so there is a LOT of influence there. San Jose was about 45 miles away so we Did get exposed to Bay Area Music very early on, 2Pac, Darkroom Familia, Mac Dre, San Quinn, Messy Marv. I also grew up around a time where Gang Violence in Monterey County was at an All-time high and I just Incorporated it into my music. What was your personal favorite element to “Bounce Back” you feel the listeners will love? The Versatility mostly throughout the Record. The lyrics at the beginning of my career I’d always be known to Rap on Down South/Trap Beats. I had a Song on my ATLANTAFORNIA Project called “Hustle”, Which was a Westcoast Style vibe, which did get a massive amount to praise. What was the most challenging aspect of creating “Bounce Back”? I did the Record in 35 mins, I guess the most challenging thing was if the Fans would like it. When I talk normal, I have a southern accent, I guess people are used to the Typical “Atlanta Sound” What can we expect to hear next from you, Dame Daniels? I have a Couple of projects, My next project is Called “Galindo” which I will Probably make into an independent Album. I also am working with Northern California Artist Looney Luckz and locking in the Show Dates as we speak for 2020. instagram.com/Dame_Daniels #BuzzMusic

- Listen to TENNIN's Genre Defying Sound in New Single ‘Run’
TENNIN is a genre-defying alternative pop singer. Fairly new to the music scene, TENNIN began creating her sound in 2015. Having played such venues as La Cigale in Paris, and shows in London and Berlin; as well as releasing four singles it is no surprise that she has garnered attention from media including Les Inrocks, Afropunk, Earmilk, and Radio Nova. TENNIN was also a finalist on Afropunk BOTB Paris shortly before releasing her third single on record label False Idols. Her most recent release in November, ‘Run’, comes just after a performance opening for Dope Saint Jude and Muthoni Drummer Queen at Les Cuizine. Run is truly a genre-defying track breaking the norms of pop. It is electrifying and gritty with powerful vocals and a hauntingly sexy production backing it up. You can feel the punch and intensity of the lyrics through edgy lines like ‘look at what you’ve done to me take a look in the mirror’ and ‘you’re a poison never come back around’. TENNIN’s desire for a new vision of music without specifying any style is definitely achieved through Run. She is a force to be reckoned with and this track takes the world of pop/alternative/electro to a whole new level. Check out "Run" here Welcome to BuzzMusic TENNIN! You’re sound is so powerful and edgy we absolutely love it! Where did the desire to create music that doesn’t fit within the ‘cookie-cutter genre’ come from? I am glad to hear that, thank you. I am always curious to know what genre will be associated with my music because when I start to work on a song, I do not think about any genre or style, I think in terms of “universe”. I try to build a world. If you listen to my other songs, you will notice that there is a specific universe to each of them. I love to play with my voice and to challenge my creativity. Making music for me is looking for a new type of sounds, superposition, and melodies, instead of sticking to the norm. One day, a media called me a « sounds researcher », and I take that gladly. I want the audience to have their own definition of my music. We know experimenting with different genres is part of your artistic persona. Are there any specific genres you would like to incorporate into your music? I am, consciously or unconsciously, surely inspired by the music I have been listening to but trying to incorporate specific genres to my music is not a rule. My first contact with music was with African music as a child. Then I was deeply into Hip-hop music as a teenager. I discovered trip-hop quite late, and I feel fascinated by this rich musical genre. I feel close to African music because of my roots, I am in love with hip-hop because of its prose, and close to trip-hop music because of its creativity and unique world. Can we hear all of these genres in my music? It all depends on who is listening. The only rule I want to impose is to keep it unique and different. "Run" has a certain intensity to it, what is the story behind the lyrics? To tell you the truth, I wrote the song as a personal message to someone. I wanted the person to know how I felt and thought it would be really stronger with a song. You know, when you love someone, you speak, share energies, and have expectations. When you are disappointed or when you know disillusionment, you think that learning to hate the loved person would be easier and will help you to move on fast…This is how I felt when I wrote RUN but I think everyone has a story to project on this song and everybody has been through this type of situation. Today, among all of the songs that I wrote and produced, released or not, RUN is one of my favorite. What were the specific production elements used in "Run"? I worked with Broken Shadow, a beatmaker I team up with. He produced the song. I work with him for several years, and we co-produced many tracks. The idea on RUN was to create a kind of tension, a threatening rhythm, with hypnotic elements. On the chorus, we have Balre’s (French DJ and musician) electric guitar. I think the mix of guitar and electronic music adds an interesting contrast. The guitar adds a warm and familiar touch. It matches the feelings I reveal in RUN. As 2019 is coming to an end, what are your plans for next year? Can we expect an album? A lot happened during the whole year, I am very happy and grateful about 2019. I released 4 songs, signed one on Tricky’s label, I opened for Dope saint Jude and Muthoni Drummer Queen as well as Afropunk Battle of the band Paris…. So now, I plan to maintain a certain rhythm and release more content and art. I will be on stage in Brussels in December, and other dates are on the road. I plan to release a new complete project for early 2020. You know the deal; you will know more very soon if you stay tuned :) instagram.com/tenninmusic facebook.com/tennin.sound #BuzzMusic
- Arian Jones Is Back with New Song “Reflection”
Arian Jones is an American rapper, singer and songwriter born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Some of you may know him from his time performing Phoenix’s local Hip Hop group, “Heroes & Terrorists”. Entering the Hip Hop scene in 2010, his career continued to grow as he signed a record deal with indie label Tri Eternal Music Group in 2011. From there he continues to collaborate on various projects and singles. In 2017, his debut album, “Enter the Mind” was released. With several works on the go, Jones states that he is working towards a weekly single release! “Reflection” is his newest single! Yet again, another crowd-pleaser for its jazzy, soul, passionate performance and skillful execution. Reflection by definition is the act of serious thought or consideration, Arian Jones asks himself and his listeners to reflect and consider how one's actions can lead to change. Additionally, he states how these experiences shape us and lead to self-growth/ development. Arian along with featured artists; Bilal Abbey and Pharaoh Lum create a head-bopping track with profound lyrics. Jones's rap style is laid out similar to Fort Minor’s, “Remember the Name”, both inspirational and sick pump up songs! We love the work and dedication he is showing this year and can’t wait to see what he releases next. Listen to "Reflection" here. Hi Arian and welcome to BuzzMusic. Given that you were previously in a Hip Hop group what lead to you venture out as a solo artist? Hey BuzzMusic, I want to first say I’m a big fan of the platform and really appreciate the interview. Honestly, it’s a little weird but the group is still together, we just treat it more as a collective now. So myself, Bilal Abbey, Pharaoh Lum who are both on the new single Reflection and Mike Lux all do our own music but come together to make group songs or group projects every so often. We’re also all signed to the same record label (Tribe Eternal Music Group) which makes it a little bit easier. For me though I’m far away, half of the group and the label is in Pittsburgh, PA and Mike Lux & I are out in Phoenix, AZ and I’m moving to Los Angeles, so it’s easier to create music out here alone because flights back and forth are pretty costly haha. They’re my family though so we talk at least once a day and work on our solo music and cross-promoting. What is it about the Hip Hop genre that inspires you to create tracks like, “Reflection”? Oh, I love it, I’m a Hip-Hop baby! Being born in the 90s, my older cousins always played Hip Hop music and took me around to places I probably shouldn’t have been where people would just be in circles on the corner just rapping and beatboxing and I fell in love with it. Storytelling, the thought process it takes to freestyle is just amazing. When it comes to creating tracks like Reflection it’s just simply upbringing. My dad is Jazz keyboardist, so I grew up listening and watching the performance of Jazz and then the performance of Hip Hop so the music I make always has some sort of Hip Hop / Jazz element to it. “Reflection” has such a deep message; can you please dive into the meaning behind it? Yes, of course, Reflection is pretty multi-layered. When writing it I wanted to reflect over my life with the hopes of helping someone else who may be dealing, going through or has gone through something similar to my life story. I also wanted to make the chorus “fierce and engaging” telling the listener to do self-reflection or to look at one’s self. In today’s climate, there are tons of people dealing with mental health and a lot of different types of issues and I believe that self-reflection can truly help someone. The chorus being “Reflect To Good Days, Reflect To Bad Times, Reflect To Bring Change, Reflect To Change Minds, REFLECTION!”, plays as a sort of mantra, telling people to think about the good days you have had in the past, think of the bad times, think about the change you can make to make the bad times not happen anymore or to make the good times better, can ultimately change your mindset on life so Reflect. The other verses from Bilal and Lum share the same sentiment, when you look back and then look at where you are now or think where you can be nothing can stop you. Given that you have announced the exciting goal to release a new single weekly, what is currently in the works? More singles haha! Next, I have a record called God Body coming out on 12/4, after that, I have Blessed coming on 12/11, Dose on 12/17, and an untitled Christmas record on 12/23. God Body is great, the beat is super hard, and is more of a Gospel Rap type of record but definitely Hip Hop. Blessed is almost like part 2 of Reflection but less Hip Hop and more Cinematic. Dose is fun, and a little unorthodox, but is all about marijuana and a little bit of parody around the music/drug culture. Thanks for being with us at BuzzMusic! Can you tell us what we can expect from you in the near future, Arian? Thanks again for the interview, outside of the weekly singles, at the top of the year, is the sequel to a classic mixtape that’s going to be called “Too Bamboozled”. Mike Lux and I created a mixtape in 2014 called “Bamboozled” as a joke, the point of Bamboozled were to put a comic twist on the mainstream music at the time, so it was very ratchet, and party heavy. To our surprise it ended up becoming a fan favorite project and has a strong cult fan base surrounding the project, so people have been asking for another one and we have it written, recorded, and are starting the mixing and mastering of it now. The projected release date 1/8/2020. instagram.com/kingarianjones #BuzzMusic
- Joshua & The Holy Rollers Release"What You Need" First single from Upcoming Patience EP
Los Angeles-based rockers Joshua & The Holy Rollers have released “What You Need”, the lead-off single from Patience, an all-new EP set to be released on December 6, 2019. The heavy-hitting new single is available on all streaming and digital music platforms. In support of the new release, the band will embark on a nationwide tour on November 30 opening for Hanson, the older brothers of Joshua & The Holy Rollers’ frontman Mac Hanson. The upcoming tour will be the first time all four Hanson brothers have toured together, and their first show since their performance at 2019's Hop Jam in Tulsa, OK. "'What You Need" is about the ever-pervasive desire my entire generation has: to get famous, yet do none of the work. It’s a shot across the bow at entitlement in the social media era and every lucky kid with wealth, privilege, and connection trying to say they got it all by themselves," said Mac Hanson. "At the same time, it’s also a self-reflection on our own missteps. We’ve all met the person 'What You Need' talks about, and sometimes, we’ve met that person in ourselves. All of that, and a real good time getting loud and sweaty with a bit of rock and roll." The new EP is titled Patience as a nod to the experience the band went through during the recording process. While tracking the album in Tulsa, OK in May 2019 the band experienced five intense storms that produced 9 tornadoes over the course of 4 days. The rains were so heavy that the area experienced the worst flooding in history; water was released from the dam in the Arkansas River at the rate of 200,000 cubic feet per second to prevent it from breaking (for comparison, Niagara Falls flows at 212,000 cubic feet per second). Joshua & The Holy Rollers burst into the Los Angeles music scene in late 2018 by self-releasing 2 singles, their debut EP, and completing a tour of the west coast in the first 6 months. Rich with mellow vibes, big reverb, and gritty guitar riffs, Joshua & The Holy Rollers has a sound that is both familiar and unique, equal parts lullaby and banger. Listen to "What You Need" here. Tour Dates (opening for Hanson) November 30 – Vancouver, BC, Canada – Vogue Theatre December 1 – Settle, WA – Neptune Theatre December 3 – Las Vegas, NV – House of Blues December 5 – Denver, CO – Ogden Theatre December 6 – Omaha, NE – Sokol Auditorium December 8 – Austin, TX – Emo’s Austin December 9 – Dallas, TX – House of Blues December 10 – New Orleans, LA – The Fillmore December 11 – Atlanta, GA – Buckhead Theatre December 14 – Pittsburgh, PA – Roxian Theatre December 15 – Silver Spring, MD – The Fillmore Silver Spring December 17 – Royal Oak, MI – Royal Oak Music Theatre December 18 – Cleveland, OH – House of Blues December 20 – Boston, MA – House of Blues December 21 – Huntington, NY – Paramount Theatre For more information, visit www.joshuaandtheholyrollers.com #BuzzMusic
- New Single from Klae, and What Comes Next for This Rising Band?
Emerging from Brighton, England, Klae has been hard at work over the last year fine-tuning their sound and live performances. But don’t worry, they have also been spending time in the recording studio, preparing to release new music! The 5-person band writes music with influences from many genres, including alternative, indie-pop, and even a hint of hard rock, all layered underneath a catchy, but meaningful melody. They put their own spin on a typical indie-pop sound using guitars, bass, and drums, and angelic vocals to tie it all together. Their musical variety and honest lyrics draw in listeners of all music types, and their use of different soundscapes create a unique live show environment. Klae’s fourth single, ‘Take It Back’ blends edgy guitar and drums with softer electronic sounds to create a modern and fun track. The upbeat yet powerful sound grabs your attention and would make for an outstanding live performance! It's clear that their music truly comes to life in the presence of an audience. The raw vocals are impressive and speak a very important message: letting go of others’ perceptions of you and learning to accept what we as individuals have to offer the world. These lyrics truly come from the heart and show that Klae has what it takes sonically and lyrically to really make an impact for their listeners. Listen to ‘Take It Back’ by Klae here Thanks for chatting with us at BuzzMusic today! We’re so excited to be hearing new music, how long has ‘Take It Back’ been in the works? This song was actually only completed in the last few months. When we started writing it felt like a breath of fresh air. Sometimes songs take us forever to write, this one seemed to come together really fast. We all knew what we wanted it to be. Your music is quite impressive, and I must say you have grabbed my attention! But how has your music changed from when Klae first started out to now? Do you feel that you have grown as an artist? Thank you! We definitely feel like we have grown. When we first started I think we knew the music we liked but didn't exactly know what we wanted to be. Through the last three years & a few different lineup changes I think we have finally found our rhythm and what 'sound' we want. 'Take it Back' is the first track where we really felt "that's it". After hearing ‘Take It Back,’ it’s only natural to wonder about an album someday coming to follow it, care to share any details? We would love to do an album! No concrete plans as yet but watch this space. We have a lot of new music planned to come out in the new year, we are super excited about it! How did you come up with the name Klae for your band, and how does it represent your music? In a lot of the early songs, we were writing I (Lizzy) would use lyrics to personify my struggles with anxiety; it was like medicine for me and really helped me to begin to cope with my struggles. Clay is malleable, you can change it into whatever you want and I wanted to use that as a metaphor/mantra for mental health and everyday struggles within our music. Hence the name Klae, and you know, we decided to spell it a little differently whilst we were at it! You mentioned spending some time this past year working on performances, are there any coming up that we can look forward to? We are taking a break from performing until the new year but we have a few London shows coming up and our next single release show will be on the 25th February at The Green Door Store in Brighton, UK. You can find details for these on our social media pages/websites. Hope to see some of you there! weareklae.com instagram.com/weareklae facebook.com/weareklae twitter.com/weareklae #BuzzMusic
- Rocky Paterra Brings in the Christmas Joy with His New Single “Naughty List”
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, singer and songwriter Rocky Paterra began his songwriting journey in 2017 when he recorded his debut pop EP “Thoughts from the A Train” after flying out to Nashville. Currently based in New York City, Rocky writes music for other local Indie artists as well as himself. With a massive 1200+ followers on Instagram, it’s only a matter of time before everyone is singing Rocky’s music on the radio. Getting into the Christmas spirit, Rocky has decided to release his own modern, festive and fun spin-off version of 10 holidays original songs in his second album “Naughty List”. Not only is “Naughty List” the title of the album, but also the number 1 track on his holiday album. “Naughty List” is a holiday Pop song with a happy/ funky vibe to it that'll get you in the Christmas Spirit. Unlike other holiday remakes which tend to merely emphasis words differently or minorly tweak the instrumentals and beats, Paterra has created a true holiday original. He incorporates fun poppy lyrics that get you in the mood to celebrate. The song is not too repetitive and only associated with Christmas, I truly believe this is a track you will continue to listen to throughout the year and not merely as a seasonal song. Listen to "Naughty List" here. Hey Rocky, welcome to BuzzMusic! Tell us about your inspiration with the makings of your album “Naughty List”? Hi BuzzMusic! I’m so happy to be talking a bit about my album Naughty List with you! I wanted to make this album because I’m inspired by contemporary holiday music that places modern pop through a festive lens, both in production and songwriting elements. When Sia released her 2017 holiday album “Everyday Is Christmas,” I was in Nashville recording my first album. I remember feeling excited listening to her holiday album because she is one of my favorite pop writers, and I knew that I wanted my next album to be my own take on holiday pop. We love the first track “Naughty List” as it gives off such a happy Christmas vibe. How does it relate to the other songs in your album? Thank you! I love the title track. I think it sets the tone for the album nicely, even though it was one of the last songs I wrote for it! While there are tracks like “Naughty List, “Better Behave,” and “Two Turtle Doves” that are super Christmas-y, I enjoyed the challenge of writing songs with varying musical styles for the album. The lead single “Icicle” is a dark pop-rock track, “Do Christmas With You” is a chill acoustic track, and “Snow Falls Down” is an R&B track with synth-heavy production qualities. Making sure everything felt both stylistically varied and thematically cohesive was a fun challenge that I tried my best to craft! What have been some of your biggest struggles along your journey as a music artist and how did you overcome them? I think that a challenge for anyone in any line of work is finding the right people to collaborate with to bring something from an idea to a fully realized version. I’m so lucky to say that I’ve found that with my Naughty List team! When I write music, I’m not always writing for my voice, so the artists who are featured singers on the album were absolutely vital. I’m so lucky to have worked with each one of them. And I’m so fortunate to have had Michael Wuerth as my head producer. We worked together weekly since January, and his experience and expertise in music and production made my dream of making this holiday album come true. What I have learned about collaboration is that while you can technically make anything with anybody, the ends only really justify the means if you come away from the experience feeling like everybody’s heart was in it. In the future, do you plan on releasing albums for other holidays or a completely different theme? Haha! No plans at the moment for albums centered on other holidays, but what I love about Naughty List is that I can give it a big push every holiday season. I think there’s a lot of potential for its usage in various film, television, and commercial media, and so I’ve learned so much about that world through all of the promotional work I’ve done behind the scenes surrounding its release. Every year will open itself up to potential opportunities for these songs that I love so much, and I’m extremely excited about that! Thanks so much for chatting. We are excited to listen to more of your music. What do you have planned next as a music artist? Thank you so much! As of right now, I have a single release planned for January and plenty of songs that I’m shopping to various artists for collaboration. I love writing music, specifically writing for other singers, and a huge dream of mine is for this passion to become my career in every sense of the word. As an independent artist living in New York City, times can be particularly tough. I do everything in my control to get what is in my head into other people’s ears, and as long as I’m making active strides to do that, I can sleep a little easier at night! instagram.com/rockypaterra #BuzzMusic
- Healing and Transforming Throughout Life, Aruba Red Will Leave You Wishing for a “Forever Summer”
No stranger to the music industry, Aruba Red was born into a musical family and quickly adapted to her life in the studio. During this time, Aruba Red developed her passion for songwriting. By age nine she published her first poem. Shy at first, she was reluctant to perform any of her original work. By her early twenties, she became a regular performer on the London open mic circuit, captivating audiences with her rich tone, signature vibrato, and fusion of influences! Aruba Red defines herself as an independent, rebellious and strong female performer. Her image was inspired by the legendary female pirate Aruba Red, a fiery seafarer navigating through a male-dominated world and true representation of strength and resilience. Red uses music as a means as a tool to communication candid insights into the human psyche. She explores themes of; birth, death, motherhood, the spiritual realm, self-love, breaking cycles of addiction, hope and invoking the power of the Goddess. Being recruited over the years for various projects including; Aftershock London to touring with Maverick Sabre, Jah Cure, Natty, Xavier Rudd, and other performers, Aruba Red is back in the studio working on her own album. Newly released is her single, “Forever Summer”, opening with soft and heartfelt vocals! Yet another track with futuristic soul, edge and fun fresh vibes aimed to manifest thoughts of health and love. Aruba Red's fusion of trip-hop and downtempo beats is exciting and produces a lovely musical journey throughout the track. Similar to her previous works about healing and recovery, “Forever Summer” is about self-reflection, post-breakup, and the journey of true transformation and healing. Red hopes to put out the powerful message of self-love, learn to love yourself before seeking the arms of another. Additionally, she shows us that even negative experiences can be forgiven and recreated into a positive future. Listen to "Forever Summer" here. Hi Aruba and welcome to BuzzMusic. How did you come to cause the legend of Aruba Red and what lead you to create a new stage identity? When I first started making music I was searching for a name that conjured up a sense of feminine strength and resilience, my sister Kyla found a book about pirate legends in the library and found the name for me and I immediately was like yes, this is it, it's her. I loved the image of this rebellious woman with red hair sailing from Ireland or Scotland to the Caribbean hundreds of years ago and stealing rum! There isn't a lot of information about the original Aruba Red online, I think I'll have to do some more research and write an article about her. I wanted a name that could embody my work as a solo artist, my electronic DJ sets, my full band and everything in between, I love the ambiguity of it and she allows me to merge fantasy and reality in a creative way. I think there was also a sense of craving a disguise, I wasn't comfortable with who I was when I was starting out and my real name left me feeling uncomfortably exposed, this is something I'm working on but Aruba Red allows me to express myself in a way that makes me happy. Given that “Holy Waters” was created as a therapeutic outlet, is this a common theme in your music and how does it help you heal? Yes, 100%, all of my music is inspired by the themes of healing and transformation. I used to pour a lot of pain into my songs but now even if there is a pain, there is always hope, there is always light. I embrace the journey. Music and the creation of music is so therapeutic, it unites us, it soothes us. From the birds singing to babies being rocked to sleep to the sounds of a lullaby sung by mothers and grandmothers throughout the ages, music is a sanctuary, music is literally life. What was the inspiration when creating, “Forever Summer”? I had been trapped in a really toxic relationship for over a decade, it put a lot of strain on my music career and in the end, I had to give up completely for a few years which was so hard for me. After escaping that situation I went on a quest to heal myself, I embarked upon a two-year toxic love addiction detox program during which time I created the Holy Waters EP which included writing Forever Summer. The song was intended as a manifestation of a healthy and positive love for the future and you know what it worked! I'm a big believer in setting intentions, putting in the work and then being open to receiving the abundance. Forever Summer is about welcoming healthy and healing love once we are ready. Having worked on several other projects, do you plan on incorporating any collaborative pieces into your works? Everything I create is a collaboration, I regularly write and work with some of my closest friends and family, my brother in law Marrik Shearer and my long term collaborators Renell Shaw and Camilo Tirado. I love working with these guys. I've also collaborated with Phil Manzanera from Roxy Music on my next single Violet Electric which is really exciting, he's provided a really epic guitar solo, to give you some context about how hyped I was about this solo, Phil's guitar was sampled by 88-Keys to create Kanye's and Jay-Z's No Church In The Wild! I'm also excited to be going back into the studio with the inspiring Nitin Sawhney for his new project. Nitin has been a huge catalyst for so much and I'm really grateful to him for his friendship. I also recently collaborated with the talented Nathan "Flutebox" Lee from Asian Dub Foundation on a live video I put out, a cover of "This Bitter Earth", he also features on my upcoming EP. I'm always open to collaborating but I'm also really happy with the team I've got around me and am feeling what we're creating and how deep we're getting ready to go. Thanks for chatting with us at BuzzMusic. It’s awesome to see an artist take all their experiences and lay them out so beautifully as you do. Can you tell us about your new autobiographical show for Edinburgh Fringe and what this means for you? Thank you so much. This new show is being written with support from Hackney Empire for Edinburgh Fringe 2020 and tells the story behind the songs of the Holy Waters EP and my new upcoming EP due for release in March 2020. The writing process has been quite challenging as I'm delving back into a lot of things from my past but I also think it's important to do so I can truly let a lot of that pain go and turn the struggles into something positive for my journey as an artist as well as hopefully for other people going through similar issues. The show is going to deal with topics including domestic abuse, coercive control, growing up with addiction, taking responsibility for our own lives and healing from codependency. Even though the subject matter is heavy I'm crafting the show as an experience that is intended to lift people up, I want to bring important conversations about mental health and breaking toxic patterns into arenas that they are often ignored. Music truly is medicine. instagram.com/arubaredmusic twitter.com/arubared facebook.com/arubared arubaredmusic.com #BuzzMusic
- The Vistanauts Take You Back in Time with Their Smashing Hit “TriBorg Monstrosity”
The Vistanauts released their record “TriBorg Monstrosity” and the minute we heard the first note we’ve instantly got excited. There was just something about “Triborg Monstrosity” that was so vintage. The production of the beat had the classic synths and rock n roll elements that you will find in most rhythmic and funky rock tracks back in the 70s-90s. It was fun, energetic, unique, but cool! It was like a super dope blend of futuristic and classic, giving you this eerily rad arrangement! The hook was even catchy enough to get stuck in our heads. “It’s getting messy on the dancefloor” sticks to your head like glue. The more you listen to “TriBorg Monstrosity” the more energized you become. It’s like listening to a musical Gatorade that refreshes you after every second. The electrifying mix of both the groovy beat and chaotic vocal delivery made this song a super cool and even timeless record. There are multiple components to “TriBorg Monstrosity” that you will find yourself undeniably becoming hooked on. With every corner of the song, there’s a jamming element that strikes you across the face and allows you to fall into the time-traveling masterpiece that is The Vistanauts. This record is as individualistic as the band, as we’ve never heard anything close on a larger scale than this! You can listen to this one of a kind and smashing hit record "TriBorg Monstrosity” here! Welcome to BuzzMusic The Vistanauts! How has the journey been for you so far? The Vistanauts are primarily a vehicle for my original music. I've been writing, producing and recording for years but hadn't performed in a while, so put together this band in 2016 to record a debut album "Apollo Down" and start playing out. It's been as fun and gratifying as I'd hoped it would be! Talk to us about your music but more specifically your single “Triborg Monstrosity” what was the theme you were aiming for in this record? I have a lot of different musical influences--Bowie is the most obvious and on "TriBorg" I was aiming for a heavy, angular synth sound and production similar to Bowie's groundbreaking work with Eno on his "Berlin era" album "Heroes". I play all the instruments and vocals on "TriBorg" except for one guitar part. Were there any challenges you’ve faced in the production of “Triborg Monstrosity”? Not in the recording. I work fast in the studio and usually have the whole concept mapped out in my mind before I go in. The accompanying music video was a bit of a challenge--low budget with just a few hours to shoot the whole thing, assemble the cast of characters, etc. But I am quite happy with the results! What ultimately inspired “Triborg Monstrosity”? Ha! It's kinda heavy lyrically. I'm describing a dystopian future where 5G and AI (artificial intelligence) have run amok at the "hands" of a dark force that is trying to replicate (via technology) the purported workings of "the holy trinity". How 'bout that? What’s next for The Vistanauts? Along with "TriBorg Monstrosity" I've already written and recorded a couple of songs for a new Ep. I'm working on a few more new ones now and hope to have it ("Electric Fire" Ep) released in early spring of 2020! facebook.com/thevistanauts instagram.com/thevistanauts twitter.com/MajorTomVistaN #BuzzMusic
