- Float On With Freddy Gonzalez And His R&B Dream Pop Release
The fresh new single "Can't Forget" is quite an appropriate title for the track. It's certainly not something easy to forget. Just one of the songs on his 3 song EP release Show You, the track is a smooth blend of R&B and dream pop. The record has soul and lots of it. But it's his bringing together a classic R&B style with a very current future pop sound that makes this EP work so well. Songs like "Ballin' Out Here" really gets you in a pleasant mood. It feels almost like laying in bed on a warm sunny day as you slowly wake up. Everything is going really well in your life so you just lay there and drink it in. This EP is a strong effort and displays songwriting that feels natural. Songs that really flow through you in the best way possible. - Coldswell Brings On A Heavy Hitter With Void Calls
Every once in a while you hear a song you could swear you've heard somewhere before. Coldswell's Void Calls LP is actually loaded with songs like this. The reason is mainly that these guys have a particular radio rock sound. Songs you actually could hear on your cities major rock radio station. The album gives you the feeling you had listening to your favorite alternative rock bands growing up and then brings in some more current style as well. This isn't easy to do. Most of the tracks from the record are passionate, emotionally driven, and pack a heavy melodic punch. You can hear the swelling and swaying of these emotions as you listen through the album. Songs like "Upsidedown" are evidence of darker grunge-like influence while others like "Headstraight" are more built for today's radio rock arena. Sit back, and let the sonic waves of Coldswell's alternative rock wash over you. You deserve it. - Exclusive Interview: Lexi Todd!
The beautiful voice of Lexi Todd is here. Thanks for being with us today. Please share with us the best part about living in Brooklyn. Thanks for having me! I love being surrounded by people with alternative careers and lifestyles. Seeing so many people working out of coffee shops, filming TV shows, or even just sauntering casually in the middle of the day on a weekday inspires me. It's comforting to know that I live in a community full of creatives with similar work/life values. So many artists feel pressured to live a more "traditional" life, but you don't feel that living in Brooklyn. Favorite music haunts in Brooklyn? I really love C'Mon Everybody. It's the only music venue within walking distance of my apartment and they have a great sound and light system and friendly staff. A pleasant sound engineer really makes all the difference. I also love seeing shows at Brooklyn Steel--I've seen acts from Phoebe Bridgers to LP there. In terms of Brooklyn haunts in general, my friends and I frequent a near-by dive bar called The Bearded Lady. It was one of the first bars to open up in the neighborhood when my friends first moved in, and a lot of them worked there at one time or another, so it's a frequent late-night destination. Tell us about your latest single, Madonna. Madonna is about defying stereotypes. For me, as a woman on both the artist side and the business side of the music industry, I constantly feel like I'm being pushed to look a certain way and do a certain thing. I struggled a lot with that as an artist because all of the "advice" over the years made me really second guess my creative vision. Then as a young female music attorney, I realized the stereotyping was even worse on the business side of things. For example, I'm constantly assumed to be a secretary or assistant, talked over, or interrupted with a comment about my appearance mid-meeting. Being forced to confront that treatment made me more confident in all aspects of my careers to defy those expectations and set other people straight. Madonna is me saying that I finally know who I am and I'm going to be that person regardless of whether you agree with that vision or not. The song was released at a pivotal time in my solo career, since I finally have a collection of songs ready to be recorded that I think really nail my sound and what I'm trying to say. Now that I've cleared the slate and am clear on my artistry, I feel ready to show other aspects of my personality as well. If you were stranded on a desert island, what five songs would you hope to have with you to listen to? Gold Dust Woman by Fleetwood Mac (for when I need a fight song to get me through all that hard survivalist work). Fallingwater by Maggie Rogers (for when I'm feeling contemplative by the campfire). The Spot by Your Smith (for when I need a pick-me-up). In Love We Grow by Rufus (for those sad lonely moments). Harvest Moon by Neil Young (for all the other moments). Favorites from your latest recordings? I just finished recording my next single. Every instrument on the track was recorded live, which I'm really proud of. My drummer did an entire 3-minute take of just the chimes, which was hilarious to watch through the glass. We even recorded our claps live; our hands were sore by the end. It was also my first time adding a string quartet to one of my songs and I absolutely love how it came together. How do you feel about the current music scene in Brooklyn and the NYC area? I'm excited by the amount of musician-run events popping up in Brooklyn. Instead of nights curated by tastemakers and booking agents, there are a lot of artist-lead jams and showcases happening now. I think it's really fun and inspiring as an artist to step out of the performer role and into the host role. That's something I'd like to get more involved with in the next year. I have a friend that's hosting a free monthly Nashville-style songwriter showcase now, called "Double Dutch," which involves 3 songwriters taking turns playing songs in a round-robin. I plan on helping him host the showcases beginning next month, which is a cool way to give back to the artist community by providing a platform for other artists to connect with new fans. If you had a superpower, what would it be and why? I'd love to teleport. I'm a very busy person, so skipping that commute time would change my life! Who have been the greatest music supporters of your career? My parents definitely. I don't come from a musical family. Both of my parents are music appreciators for sure, but they don't play any instruments or anything like that. When I started begging for voice lessons as a child, they never second-guessed it. They always encouraged my interest in songwriting, guitar lessons, choir, band, theatre, etc. When I talked about growing up to be a singer, they didn't doubt me or try to talk me into a more "stable" career. In fact, they were surprised when I decided to go to law school and were relieved when I assured them that I would still be chasing my goals as a musician simultaneously. I'm really grateful that they were always so open-minded and supportive of my passion for music. Any inside info to share with us regarding your next moves? I'll be releasing a lot of unique content leading up to my next single release, including interviews with some of my closest friends. This will be the first time I get this personal on social media and I'm a little scared to open up so publicly, but I'm also excited to let more people into this world I've created. Keep an eye out for news about that release coming up soon. Stay connected with Lexi Todd www.instagram.com/lexitoddmusic www.facebook.com/lexitoddmusic #BuzzMusic
- Experimental Finland-Based Project Kierobeat Collaborate With Jopo On “Free From Feelings”
Hailing from Finland, Kierobeat is an eclectic melding of musicians that flawlessly bend the rules of hip-hop, EDM and any genre they feel like. They unapologetically create vast soundscapes for their listeners to find a moment of escapism from day-to-day life. In a recent collaboration with Jopo, Kierobeat release “Free From Feelings” a raw and powerful new single. This track blends alternative instrumentals, and smooth bass into a hip-hop melody. Groundbreaking and experimental, Kierobeat is not afraid of the unique. Among this, the melody, lyricism, and the leading voice all draw your focus well. Your attention is on the storyline initially, this deeply personal and honest offering of experience and difficulty. By the time the hook hits you’re completely locked in. At just over three minutes long, the further you get into this session, the more “Free From Feelings” seems to connect. The track is not only relatable and compelling, but it hits hard and truly showcases musicianship at its finest. As musicians, Kierobeat bring an important touch of realness to music. “Free From Feelings” is a well written and interesting piece of music. In my opinion, the live version would be the perfect way to experience it. Listen to “Free From Feelings” here and read more with Kierobeat below! Hello Kierobeat! We're so excited to be featuring you and your latest release "Free From Feelings" on BuzzMusic! What is the music scene like in Finland? Hi! Very excited to be featured, thanks! The rap scene is booming in Finland right now (like all around the world) and especially amongst the youth. We have a lot of great metal, rock and punk bands boiling under the surface. Many bands (especially metal and punk) tour and are famous around the world. Finland is mostly known as a metal and punk country. Can you tell us more about who makes up Kierobeat and when and how you were originally formed? Kierobeat is a collaboration of multi-instrumentalist musicians with a background of playing in many different bands (together and separate) in many different genres along the years and years. We've been friends way before we started this project. we chose to stay anonymous and maintain some mystery element to Kierobeat. I think it was around 2012 when we really started making music together: beats, EDM, pop, rock, metal... you name it. We have 100+ instrumentals in store but at the moment with Kierobeat we are focused mainly on hip-hop and EDM. We'll see what the future brings and what kind of beast we evolve into! What predominant message was integrated within "Free From Feelings" that you hope your listeners take away from it? "Free From Feelings" is a precautionary tale of addiction. The singer Jopo has battled with drugs and alcohol half his life but is now living a sober life. You can easily lose yourself, your mental health, your money and in the worst case your life to drugs, alcohol, gambling or basically any addiction, especially in today's world where it's like take your pick. The overall message is to be careful when you're fucking with addictive shit, everything in moderation. The vocals in "Free From Falling" are so unique! Have you collaborated with Jopo before? The uniqueness probably comes from Jopo's musical background. He has a rock/metal/punk background and is the lead singer/guitarist of a legendary Finnish punk band Rattus and has basically toured all around the world. Jopo is our go-to-guy when we need a singer/rapper for our tracks. We have a lot of songs with Jopo recorded, finished and ready to go. Our next song "Spare Parts" is also featuring Jopo and right now we're finishing a music video for it. It's coming out in about a month or so and would love to be featured on BuzzMusic again! We also made beats/engineered/produced Jopo's rap duo's Jopo & Joku Jussi's "EKA" EP and we are heavily involved with the project: songs, live shows etc. Thank you so much for talking with us about your single and creative process. Can you describe how your performances feel? Do you enjoy live shows, or do you prefer the actual songwriting process? Also, any live shows coming up in the near future?! Creating/songwriting is amazing when you find real inspiration and really get in the zone. Especially when you feel you've outdone yourself and notice you've created something really unique and special. Live shows are a totally different animal of course. It's always great to see people enjoying the show and the back and forth energy between the audience and the artist is just so fucking cool. I think it's about fifty-fifty concerning which is more fun, live shows or the creative process. Jopo & Joku Jussi is booking shows in Finland at the moment and I think at least a couple will announce pretty soon. Yeah, thank you so much! With so much success and natural talent, Iris is on her way to the top! Check out “Dangerous” here and keep scrolling for our exclusive interview with Iris. Welcome to BuzzMusic Iris! How did you gain the drive and ambition to make the trip to Los Angeles? Thank you! I'm not actually living permanently in America yet, but the reason I went for the first time in September 2018 was purely driven by intuition. It was also because I figured if I was going to drop everything to follow my passion, why not go to the place where stars are really made - the city of angels. I wanted to feel like it was an all or nothing game, so I jumped in the deep end. You’ve known that music is your passion since you were young, but what inspired you to be so involved with music from such a young age? I definitely credit the people I was surrounded by. Your environment shapes who you are and I was lucky enough to be brought up by parents who loved music. My dad was in a rock band as a teenager so I guess his genetics passed onto me. My good friend Mia who I met when I was 7 is also a musician and she was the person who first inspired me to write songs. I carried on to play multiple instruments in bands after that, I was sort of shy when it came to singing so I hid behind my guitar haha. “Dangerous” is an incredible track! What can you tell us about the creative process and the music video for this song? Thank you so much. Well, this song, in particular, started off as an instrumental that my producer and business partner, Charles Lutman, made for me. He sent me the track and I instantly started running melodies into my voice notes. The melodies of songs always come first for me and I use the cadence of the melody to shape the lyrics around. The song is about being strong and overcoming fears to achieve your dreams. Charles is also a director and from reading my lyrics he pictured a story of two spies battling over an 'ex-lover.' For all of my music videos, there is a plot twist at the end so it's really funny to see how the fans react! We know your back home now and traveling in between, but did originally moving to LA give you a different perspective on music? 100%. I used to write very jazz-inspired music. It wasn't bad, but it didn't showcase my voice the way pop music can. I used to be much more small-minded and thought I wanted to be 'alternative'. But Charles taught me that pop music isn't limited. In fact, writing a pop song is an art and it took me a LOT of practice to understand the mathematics of it. You’re quoted as saying you won’t stop until you reach your full potential, what does that ideally look like for you? I believe you can achieve anything you set your mind to. But my goal is to tour the world as an internationally successful artist, win awards, and hopefully inspire others to follow their own biggest dreams. G Phatz is a rapper and lyricist based in Texas. His musical stylings are inspired by his street life experiences. His diverse perspective assisted in shaping him as an independent, ambition artist. G Phatz pours his soul into every track he creates, he leaves everything he has on stage or in the studio. His high energy performance and relatable content draw audiences from all walks of life, setting him apart in the music scene in a big way. G Phatz is quick to impress with memorable melodies, thoughtful rhymes, and blissfully dreamlike, sultry soundscapes. Whatever you liked about this artist is magnified on this project. G Phatz offers up those classic vibes and an equally smooth display of lyricism and vocal delivery at every step. One by one these elements enter the soundscape of "Stay In My Lane" and strengthen the warmth and weight of its embrace. Throughout "Stay In My Lane" the soulful vocal performance is completely connected to the concept and the mood of the track. The same goes for the rap vocal and the subsequent story-line and scene-setting that emerges there. We love what we’re hearing from G Phatz and can’t wait to see what he delivers next! Check out "Stay In My Lane" here and read more below in our exclusive interview with the artist! Welcome to the BuzzMusic community! Congratulations on your latest track "Stay In My Lane". How did the overall creation process go for this song? We wanted to create a song that was going to allow people from all walks of life to connect with the music and lyrics and speak to them in a way that would make the listener press repeat. Once production for the track was finished and sent over, I began to vibe out on the beat and kept returning to the concept of just "staying in my lane" and describing what that means in different life situations. I felt like this song needed a featured artist who would add to the song's success, so I knew that featuring Carlos Corleone would be a great fit. We're so excited to be featuring your track "Stay In My Lane". We definitely sense that old-school flair you bring to a more contemporary hip/hop style. Where do you find your inspiration to curate tracks with such originality? I'm a student of the game. Growing up, my producer and I were inspired by great music, and dedicated to our craft, we knew that given our opportunity, we would contribute incredible art, relevant in today's music landscape. What would you say is the most impactful takeaway message from "Stay In My Lane"? Do you feel like you're able to connect with your listeners on that deeper level? The title says it all. Basically, its' message is to not worry or be concerned about what other people are doing. If you have a mission to fulfill, stay focused on the grind, don't get sidetracked, it will only slow you down. When people hear the song, they automatically sense that genuineness and emotion, and then boom, the connection manifests. How would you describe the music scene for your particular genre in Houston? Do you believe that you can fully develop your sound in your current city? I consider myself a Texas artist. I'm from Corpus Christi but now reside in Houston. So I'm naturally representing a wide spectrum. The music scene in Houston is amazing. There are so many artists creating great music. Lots of diversity, artists across different eras of music collaborate and learn from each other, it's what keep things moving forward in a positive, meaningful way. Thank you so much for talking with us! Is there anything exciting happening for you within the next few months?! Any upcoming shows you can share with the BuzzMusic community? Give “Someone Like You” a listen here and read more with MaVrick in our exclusive interview below! Hey MaVrick! Welcome to BuzzMusic! What inspired you to first begin making music and releasing it to the public? I usually get inspired by watching the pros do their thing. Blackthought, 9th wonder, Nas, pete rock, common just to name a few, & watching them in the studio or during interviews, etc. You seem to be an artist that puts more thought into his lyrics than most. What can you tell us about the lyrical depth within “Someone Like You”? I take my writing very serious... writing something that flows but also makes sense while also telling a story is a skill within its self...In the Song “Someone Like You” So my goal was to paint a vivid picture while also telling a fly story. Now when you do that, it becomes more than just rap...it becomes a song and THAT'S what sells. Since you’ve been making music for several years, how would you compare some of the earlier material you’ve written to your newest release “Someone Like You”? - Catching Up With Holland Greco And Her New Single "We Could Still (Get It On)"
Welcome to BuzzMusic! How has 2019 been for you so far? My 2019 has been fabulous. I’ve written & put out some super cool song art, like “Real Love” with Funk LeBlanc, which you covered a few months ago. I’ve met & worked with beautiful folks, and have seen a bunch of great concerts like Karen O & Danger Mouse, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Ariana Grande, Ty Segall, local jazz, and more. Now I get to put out a clear vinyl 45rpm single of “We Could Still (Get It On)” with Burlacticus Recording Company, so life is good. For those who don't know, how would you describe your sound and approach to creating music? There seems to be a through-line of general bop-i-ness via catchy melodies & poetic lyrical moments in my work. I’ve heard people say that there’s a deep longing to my writing, and that may be true, but it is usually styled up in a very fun and well-decorated musical outfit. I enjoy writing lyrics and melodies on stylized tracks & arrangements. Cool tones and chord changes inspire me to respond with a lyric & melody that is a good match that makes the result synergistically special. I like for my music & self to be dressed in a little something unique & fun. My musical and personal presentation changes from day to day. Sometimes I’m 70’s, sometimes 80’s, sometimes grunge/punk, sometimes 40’s even, but most always playful. I’m planning solo performances in addition to these bigger band expressions. There are many branches on this tree! How does the songwriting and recording process compare to live performance for you? I like to write alone & spend hours tinkering, demo-ing, dancing, crying, & laughing as the ideas come together. I generally fall in love with the demos. It’s so amazing to make new things! Once they exist, they can be accessed and expanded upon forever! Recording is a collaborative process and it’s exciting to nurture the demos into the final sound recordings. The live musicians often add interesting decorations as they play down the demo-ed ideas. I love when that happens. Recordings are meant to last forever – delivering the same emotional doses to listeners over & over, so I strive to make them as perfect and bumpin’ as possible. I generally agree with the philosophy that “all that matters is what comes out the speakers.” I’m not sure where I heard that – an ex-band mate, maybe? From Tupac?. With live performance, I get to create an environment within which the audience, players, and I get to experience the work in real time! I like to choose venues where folks can have a great time, and make the audio / visual presentation a bit fantastic. How have you honed your vocal style over time, and did it take a while to find your vibe, or did it come naturally? Some of it is intrinsic & I foresee it evolving forever. "We Could Still (Get It On)" is a great song! What can you tell us about it? Thanks so much. I’m really happy with it. “We Could Still (Get It On)” has a soul / R&B musical composition & arrangement by Clark Dark. It sounds all lush like Al Green or Marvin Gaye. I wrote a cutie pie song on top, which is basically a sweet perspective on ghosting, and that’s how the demo was born. The recording, facilitated by Robert Carranza and Burlacticus Recording Co., is a perfect incarnation of what we were looking to achieve with that piece. I love the horns, background vocals (which I also wrote, arranged & performed), keyboards, percussion, guitars – all of it! I hope that lots of people get to hear it, too. Not only is the single available digitally, but Burlacticus Recording Co. has immortalized the music by pressing this gorgeous clear vinyl 45rpm version. I recommend that as the best possible listening experience and there are only 1000 copies available. The 45 comes with a download card, so you get everything when going that route. You can snatch yours up here: www.theconnextion.com/burlacticusrecordingcompany What can your fans expect from your show Thursday, Sept. 26 at The Mayfair Hotel? People can expect a truly fun night. It’s a party! I’ve got a full band + horn section on deck to bring the music to life in full. This set will be primarily soul, disco, & R&B. We’ll have the clear vinyl 45s available, and my long-time friend going back to kindergarten, Dean Mucetti, is bringing his funk & jazz band, Rhythm Real, to play after us. Fick Stigure will be DJing, too. If you’re looking for dancing & smiles in a comfy & arty environment, please join us at The Mayfair Hotel! They're doing really great art & culture curation these days. They have a cool art gallery in the lobby balcony, too. You should follow them in general! - Halle Abadi Will Make Your Heart Ache With Latest Song "Makes Me Bleed"
An artist who is able to undoubtedly stream her raw and personal experiences into her music, Halle Abadi is one authentic singer/songwriter to look out for. Her affection for music can't be contended with. You know when you listen to a song for the first time, and it almost takes you aback when you can actually hear the artist and their passion? Not every artist has that ability to emulate their dedication in such a way, yet Halle does it (and does it effortlessly we must add). Halle Abadi pours her emotion and passion into "Makes Me Bleed" and it's clear right from the beginning of the song! A song that captures the very essence of heartbreak, and betrayal, you can expect "Makes Me Bleed" to tug on your heartstrings when connecting with Halle's inert pain. Halle's subtle incorporation of sounds we can expect to hear all over the world is what sets this track apart from most pop songs we've heard of lately! Her music is definitely buzz-worthy, as she takes you on an entire journey when listening to "Makes Me Bleed". Besides her obvious talent vocally, Halle is also able to take her ability to sing, and twist it by adding in a combination of sounds that is transformative. She hits every note, and she hits it with grace and confidence. "Makes Me Bleed" is surging with devotion and intensity. Halle creates a dramatic atmosphere for listeners, and it keeps us wanting more! Listen to "Makes Me Bleed" here, and don't forget to read our interview with Halle below! Welcome to the BuzzMusic community Halle! Are you able to share with our readers what first got you passionate about music? Thanks for having me! I've been humming, singing and playing piano since before I can remember. When I was young, my mom told me to pick a sport and an instrument- so I chose piano and taekwondo. I'd hum when I played piano and my piano teacher brought this to my moms attention, who encouraged me to start taking vocal lessons. "Makes Me Bleed" hit us to our very core with your vocal performance. Do you find it comes effortlessly to fill your voice with such passion and rigor? Thank you! Makes Me Bleed is a special record to me because it perfectly encapsulates what I was feeling during this particular heartbreak, so I found it easy to convey the emotions I was feeling through my voice. As a song that captures the very pinnacle of heartbreak, was it hard for you to write/record "Makes Me Bleed"?! It was definitely hard to write Makes Me Bleed, especially in the early stages. The idea of the song came to me when I was just coming out of the most painful stage in my heartbreak. Since it was coming from a place of such raw emotion, it was easy to get the words out. The recording process was easier for me since the song was recorded sometime after I had initially written it, but I was still able to tap into the pain I felt when the breakup was first unfolding. Do you feel that your music is an accurate depiction of your life? Do you feel ultimately connected to your listeners through your music? My music is a perfect representation of who I am as an artist. My songs come from a pure and honest place and I hope that others can listen along and understand and relate to where I'm coming from. I feel incredibly connected to the people who listen to my music, and I love to hear which one of my songs somebody likes most. Each one of my records thus far has come from a different place of my heart and I can generally get an idea of somebody's background and the type of music they like to listen to based off of which one of my songs they like the most. Specifically, Makes Me Bleed is a story that I think many can relate to. It's an age-old story of heartbreak and betrayal, something I think most of us can relate to. Ultimately, my goal is to make music that people can find themselves in and feel recognized. I know personally how it feels to be alone. I hope that my music can reach people who feel the same way that I do so that they can feel less alone. Can you describe how your performances feel? Do you enjoy live shows, or do you prefer the actual songwriting process? Also, any live shows coming up in the near future?! Performing on a stage has become something that I have learned to love with all of my heart. I first started performing when I was really young, and I've learned how to be vulnerable onstage throughout the years. I could get addicted to the exhilaration I feel when I'm performing live, but I also enjoy the process of being able to sit down and pour my heart out on paper. - RØSE Gives Us A Refreshing Sound In "FØUND"
We absolutely adore artists who are able to create an utterly tranquil atmosphere with their sound. In RØSE's recent music, he's able to fully capture that essence of tranquility. With influences such as Daniel Caesar and Sam Smith, you can expect RØSE's music to bring softer elements to such integral artists music. RØSE brings an incredibly honest aspect to his music, incorporating his most personal experiences into his lyricism, in order to authentically connect with his listeners. Creating stories through his music, RØSE inevitably curates an intimate experience for any listener. His latest music definitely doesn't disappoint, and we're excited to be featuring a more modern indie/soul sound! RØSE gives us an unplugged, raw version of his sound in his latest single "FØUND". The track encompasses a soothing and tranquil melody, with the soft vocals from RØSE. There are points throughout "FØUND" where RØSE is able to interchange his vocal approach, which definitely is what creates that intriguing contrast. Being a more mellow song, "FØUND" is serene, and embodies a genuinely amicable presence. There's no doubt that RØSE is able to successfully integrate a variety of integral elements from genres such as indie, R&B, and soul. With more contemporary programming, "FØUND" is a transforming song that takes you on an intimate adventure as you listen. Check out "FØUND" here, and continue reading for our interview with RØSE! Hey RØSE, welcome to BuzzMusic! Can you tell our readers what got you started in the music industry?! Honestly, it was this weird mix of passion and depression lol. Coming out of high school I was essentially bouncing around jobs with no real direction or sense of hope. I was lost and numb and music and writing were the only realms that elicit any kind of emotion from me. After a monumental failure in my post-secondary career and some phenomenal heartbreak, I threw all caution to the wind and began learning how to use Logic X and started to think about how to take the leap. Congratulations on your recent release "FØUND"! How did the songwriting process differ from the recording process for this particular song of yours? I produce and write everything I release, so the recording, production, and writing are all intertwined. if one changes, I have to reconsider changes in the other parts of the composition. In general, however, everything takes place in my bedroom. I'm hella broke. I get a melody in my head, hum the instruments and sing the hook to keep the central idea and produce around whatever mood the lyrics may support or contrast depending on the effect I want to achieve. What would you say is the most integral message embedded within "FØUND" that you wanted to be communicated to your listeners? "FØUND" is a song about defeat and loss; It's a confession of one's failures and a love letter to those who may not have made it because of their flaws while serving as a thank you to those who were left behind. I wanted to give warmth on a very cold subject and not sugarcoat it while doing so. Hopefully, the listener feels that warmth while listening in passing and when they really listen, when they really need it, they feel that warmth even more. How would you describe the personal connection you feel with music? When did you know music was a calling for you?! Suicide has gotten more prevalent in my generation and I'm no exception. I have many people to thank for me being here today but namely music and the many artists I listen to have all had a hand in "saving" me. I think ultimately that's the connection music has with almost everyone on this planet. It's why art is so important. And the music was an art form I could understand in its creation. I'm not a painter, or a sculpture or some prodigal classical artist but I can make music and if I can help someone the way I was helped then music was something worth growing and cultivating for me. Regardless if it's my calling or not. We loved featuring your latest track "FØUND"! Is there any music in the works for you?! Right now I'm working on a slew of track that kinda will slide on the R&B and rap genre line. The intimate R&B ballad "REFLECTIØN" comes out September 27th and a very dark and ghoulish dance track are slated for mid-October release. You'll never find me all that boxed in. With genre-bending gaining more steam, I'm just gonna come out the gates not subscribing to any one lane. Don't forget to stay connected with RØSE via her social media below!
